Sounds as if things are being thrashed out on here with you all?
Iย wouldn’t be making a day 15 post at all tonight without borrowing another machine. Dropped my laptop tonight and won’t be fixed by dell until wednesday, bit of a pain but at least it should be fixed by wednesday, makes us realise how much we rely on our computers these days!
Judging by your comments, i think you all are beginning to realise that having consistent weeks is really the way to go? Just look at jean this week, she has achieved great things this week, even though she hasn’t lost any weight, what i mean is that instead of stress eating about it in the past, she has analysed here week when she didn’t lose the weight, and concluded that she could in fact done quite a bit more to make sure her week was successful. I believe she will have a great week this week. She has lost 7 pounds already, so she is ahead of the game already.
Cyril has promised to go for the big push and cut out all the junk this week, his attitude is sincere and enthusiastic, and wants and deserves to do really well. Can he do it? Of course he can and i know a lot of you take comfort in cyril’s posts, which helps us all out if we are in periods of doubt and don’t feel like getting out there and doing things, that man has been out there in icy and snowy conditions, so he deserves our respect. I want to know your success story this week cyril and i want you under the big 18 very soon, with self belief and constant action, you’re going to do it and that means under 40 inches on the waist too, i’m counting on you to do it!
Whatever your situation there tonight, it’s february 1st and isn’t it time you really got excited about what you are doing again? If you are not excited, then maybe its time to set up a dream list, the things you really can achieve over the next 10 weeks, the next year and maybe even the next 5 years.
Maybe it’s being a better parent, and a healthier parent i mean, so you can keep up with your kids in old age. Maybe it’s being proud of your efforts in this challenge, and your children and friends admire you for overcoming all the challenges you have in daily life and STILL being in great shape by the end of april? Maybe it’s finally getting off those blood pressure tablets or avoiding the threat of diabetes? Maybe it’s meeting the person of your dreams, maybe it’s being at a healthy weight to have children, maybe its about getting the drive to open a new business, or go for a new promotion in work, or make yourself a less stressed human being that doesn’t take their bad health in general out on others, its a fact we are more irritable when we have an unhealthy lifestyle, and those around will cheer to that too! Whatever your choice and ambition,ย its really time right now to go for it again, get your priorities straight and use the information you know to be correct and creating the very best version of you!
Remember, its the stories you tell yourself that stop you getting to where you want to be, tell yourself the truth and the positives attributes you have, and you will move forward and achieve anything you put your mind to, the time is now, no putting it off and let’s commit well and truly to a great week 3!!!!!!!!
Keri
p.s. couldnt reply to your question in the comments board cyril due to this laptop for some reason, but the thigh stretch is done lying on the floor before you go out, go on to your side, grab your foot and pull it back whilst on your side until you feel some discomfort. Try and keep the thigh your stretching close to the other one, this will give you a better stretch. Hold for 10 seconds, you can also do this stretch standing up.

Hi Keri,
Just got your up to date blog. Couldn’t retrieve it at all yesterday. Just read yesterdays’ comments. Had a frustrating day yesterday. Did not lose any weight last week, so felt sorry for myself for a couple of hours. Then I pulled myself together and decided I must be much stricter with myself. I am not putting enough into my training. I am a laid back character, don’t really get stressed out, and that is how I approach training. My diet is pretty good, but I have posted my food for today so you can have a look for me and let me know if I’m going wrong.
Muesli with soya milk
Jacket with a little grated cheese, no butter
Home made chicken and veg stew, wholemeal pitta
Natural yogurt with banana and drizzle of honey
5 coffee’s with goats milk and a little sugar(still trying to stop it)
Indoor workout and 20 min walk
Also, don’t know if any of you ladies find this too, although I am going through the dreaded menopause, I still get that bloated water retention feeling once a month. I can have a really good week and still find my waistband tightening. It is SO frustrating!!
Let me know I’m not alone girls.
Well Debs, done the menopause thing, it was thrilling, all I expected and more, CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just trained all the way through it, didnt take any meds for it, HRT was a no no, so all I had was my training, and I sailed through it. Anyway in answer to ur question, the only way I can tell if I am bloated now is by my ankles, I can see the marks of my socks, deep sometimes, and it is usually my diet that is to blame. Dont get that prob if I eat clean, dont do salt anyway. But if I remember correctly, yes I did used to feel bloated at that time of the month, and I just trained, really my friends were all taking HRT and having all sorts of bad flushes and mood swings, even to they were taking the meds, I didnt see the point, if they were getting the symptoms anyway. My bike was my salvation then, always on it. I am goin to be stricter with my self this week, I didnt lose any weight last week also. Cyril is chucking out his BAD FOODS AND SNACK so if we are all getting stricter we should all see results next week, cant wait. I used to try not to give my bloatedness too much thought, cause you’ll end up giving it THE POWER, and thinking “what IS the point” big mistake Debs, “THIS IS NOT A SERMON” Sorry. Good luck. Jean xx
Hi Ke, well been down the beach, I walked for 10mins to warm up, then I jogged for 30mins, that was tough, then I walked home 11mins 45secs. 51.45. Was lucky didnt get soaked, it just drizzled. Last Wednesday I jogged for 25mins, so added 5mins today. I still had 1350 cals yesterday, looked at it again, and I didnt need the hard boiled egg in the salad, 90cals, didnt need the cheese, 70cals, didnt need the fresh fruit salad, jelly AND yogurt, last night, could drop the yogurt 90cals or the fruit 90cals, and I could save 250 cals there. So will do better today. Andrew tells me about his calorie intake, 17,000 plus and I wonder how he loses weight, I tell him if I have more than a 1,000 a day its hard for me to lose weight, thats 7,000 a week, he said he could never exist on that. So u dropped ur laptop, nice one, I was lost when I was off line a couple of week ago, felt cut off from the world, what did we do without them. Am hoping that when this 12 week challenge is over, GET FIT 4 SPRING, I call it, you will have another one to run concurrently, GET FIT 4 SUMMER. Cos I will only b half way there, go on Ke, give it some thought.
JEAN’S DREAM LIST
1) To be 3 to 4 dress sizes smaller
2) To lose my other CHIN
3) To feel better about myself and have more confidence
4) Not to be breathless most days, when I play with Jasmine
5) To get off my PUMPS
6) To be pain free
7) To come to LOVE running and cycling again like I used to, and not see it as a chore
8) And most importantly TO KEEP IT OFF THIS TIME, and realise once and for all that ITS A WAY OF LIFE
Thanks Jean you talk sense as always. No, not giving power to bloating but it is a fact of life that it happens and can be a nuisance.
I have been out for friends birthday and did not touch a drop of the lovely stuff.(red wine that is)
Very pleased with my determination. Going for swift walk after this and only have fruit and yogurt for tea.
My husband reckons I am changing shape and thats good because he sees me every day and has noticed change.
Love the dream list Jean. I don’t really have a list just want this to happen this time around.
I’m walking the walk ‘cos I’ve talked the talk long enough!!!!!!!!
All the best everyone out there. Would be nice to read some new people’s views. Don’t be shy, it is anonymous and can be very therapeutic!!

Debs, this is your chance to show us all how brave you are going to be to work your way thru this, let’s do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Doing it Keri……………………….Doing it!!
I did walk/run in 14min12sec tonight, that is nearly 3 mins off original time. I am recovering a lot quicker although hill out of site nearly does me in!! Cyril must be good up hills if you live up a mountain!! Think we should move in with Jean for a bit to get some sea air. Doing her the world of good!!
Cyril, you say you are snacking a lot. Could it be that you need a bit more at breakfast? A bowl of ready brek is not a lot for a growing or should I say SHRINKING lad!!? I find if I have too small a breakfast I get hungry later on in the day. Just a thought.
Blimey do I feel good tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
xxx

Goin to bed now. Goodnight. Jeanx
Just seen your post Debs, well done girl. Cyril, I find that MORNFLAKE PORRIDGE OATS is alot more filling than READY BREK, if you dont mind me saying, that is joking porridge. Have a look at my post, I eat my porridge at 9am and it sees me through till 2pm, dont have a snack, cos I am not hungry. Why dont you try it. You guys can move in if you want, I would have company then. Glad you feel good Debs. OK I am going to bed now. Goodnight. Jeanx

Hello Keri
I am a good friend of Jean and my name is Wendy. I have started a diet in early January with the best determination that I have had in a long time. Unfortunately I am not doing a good job, and have not achieved anything. I find it very challenging as to my diet (what to eat and what not to), I have cut down my food intake.
I work full-time as a medical secretary, and sit at my desk for the majority of my day. When I get home I normally catch up with family life, and I suppose an excuse that I havenโt much time to exercise (donโt do any). This week however, I tried the Wii fit brilliant loved it and am going to carry on, even though it takes me forever to get through the listings.
Tried to get Cyril on the REAL PORRIDGE, but he wont MAN UP ๐ ๐ ๐
welcome aboard wendy and your story can be changed to a more positive one. First thing to do is go back to day 1, and just before that which is your goal setting, fill that in first and go through the guidelines to this challenge i have set out. Then go to workouts at home in my previous posts, plus there are plenty of ideas in the eating section. The site is short of photos etc at the moment but it has only been going a couple of months, and i have a business to look after, and a young family so any spare time i give on this every day. Will try to do my best for you and will answer all your questions.
Approach it with an open mind and you should do very well!
welcome aboard Wend ๐ we are all in the same boat here, just check out the in depth posts Ker has put up and there’s plenty there food wise and exercise wise for you to have a bash at.Has eveyone here says you’ll get your ups/downs but the ups are great when you have them…….Good luck ๐
I Wend, you made it then, welcome, as you can see from Keri’s post, he is very dedicated to this site even tho he has’nt much time, he will sort you out. We are all here to help eachother, and you know help is just a click away. Let us know how you r doin. Love Jean x
