May 5th-Habits

Monday to friday habits make or break your week, and these are relatively easy ones to do.

  1. Go for a daily walk in nature. The greenery around you will automatically make you feel better, the fresh air will energise you and the also make you think a lot clearer.
  2. Eat breakfast. People sometimes think that they are “saving calories” by skipping breakfast, the reality is you are slowing your digestive system down and your body needs a good start to the day. You may lose weight to start with by skipping meals, but once you can’t do it anymore, you will tend to splurge and put the weight back on and usually a lot more. Time and time it happens no matter what the faddy people say.
  3. Have a nap. Most adults I know have a hard time lunch time or mid afternoon, even a 20 mins nap, will re-invigorate, re-charge your energy and get you attacking the second part of your day with vigour, much more enthusiasm and energy.
  4. Workout at an intensity that challenges you, and not by the clock. If you only have 20 mins, go hard in that time, saying you have worked hard for two hours a time at the gym is impossible, you can’t rain long and hard.
  5. Get up early. The morning is usually your quietist time of day, you can get twice the amount of stuff done early than later in the day when everyone is up and tries to steal your time. It maybe a pain to start with, but over time will become one of your smartest and productive strategies.
