The publicity that the diet firm called Lighter life had this week was in my book, staggering to say the least!!!

Birds of a feather actress Pauline Quirke has become the new face of the product after losing around 6 stone or so.

I am normally the first to congratulate ANYONE on losing weight, especially that monumental but there’s a lot more to this story.

I am familiar with the product because of the feedback i get from people i train who know people who have been on it, and from people who have had lets say “eventful” experiences while taking it, and have now approached me to get them back on the right path of doing things the correct way.

Most people i know have lost weight on this product, but thats where the good news ends.

ALL not most, ALL of the people i know have put the weight back on and more again. The individuals i know were paying £300 a month for their shakes and bars, this seems to be the average price paid.

This was the most startling, shocking, annoying, horrible, disgusting part of it for me when i read about the actress taking it. I quote “i survive on 560 calories a day”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No wonder people are losing weight on this, you SHOULD be losing tons of weight in a hurry but look at the strain on your body.

Go to any doctor or dietician and they will tell you the MINIMUM, and i say again, the MINIMUM an adult should take in every day is 1200 calories just not to become MALNOURISHED!!!!!! The recommended amount is 2000 for a female and 2500 for a male.

So here it is again, 560 calories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

Thats around 40% of what you need just to get by every day and thats classed as a starvation diet, what a disgrace!!!!!!!!!!!!1

And people are paying £300 a month for this. Again, what a bloody disgrace that they are allowed to get away with this!!!!!! This producr should be banned because of the dangers and the long term misery its going to cause!!!!!!!!!! It really makes me mad!!!!

Great for those who lost weight, but keep an eye on them in the near future and see what happens!!!

This is the exact opposite of what we are trying to do, so lets look in the diet section to see some proper common sense!!!

A lot of people are confused when they burn body fat, and a common question is are you burning fat every time you sweat?

Sweating is your body’s own cooling system and a lot of people in good shape will sweat regularly, and their bodies will be used to regulating heat in the body, if someone for example trainins 5-6 a week, then their body is used to working out and their body’s internal system will sweat to cool it down, and regulate its internal temperature. So this is sweating in a good way and with someone very fit, it can take a lot of work to get this happening. When you think about it though, that individual is only very fit in the first place BECAUSE they exercise  with real intensity all the time, so they will be used to tougher, more intense workouts.

On the other hand then, you may have someone who is totally not conditioned very well, and will sweat at the slightest physical efforts. It may not take much to get someone out of shape sweating but it doesn’t then mean that they are suddenly burning lots of body fat straight away. There are other factors at play, and if that person has consumed a lot of food that day before training, they will be busy burning the excess calories before they even touch their body fat.

The bottom line never changes, whatever stage you are at, you should build your training up in terms of intensity and take some time to do it. As long as you are making small even subtle changes each week, then you will be on course for ultimate success.

So the sweating thing as a measure of burning fat is not always accurate and there are too many variables to take into consideration. However, if you have at least a couple of months training under your belt, you will sweat normally every time you train intensely and even more so when you have made progress from the week before, a harder workout will always test you,  make you sweat and always improve you in terms of reducing body fat, heart rate and making your body overall leaner and harder.

Use this opportunity to work even harder inside on your strength and resistance work. Some people buy a treadmill for indoors, what a waste of money when you get some cracking workouts inside.

If I want to keep it basic for myself and for everyone I train. I always think of working the whole body in one go to maximise the amount of energy and fat my body uses in the workout. If I wanted the easy option, I would isolate different body parts but I’ve discovered that’s the easy way out on so many different levels.

Right now, I’m all about discovering and proving which workout works best and it turns out those workouts tend to be like eating your greens as a kid. Those exercises that are best for you tend not be the easiest or even the ones you enjoy the most. They may be harder right now because they are very challenging and it may take your body getting to another level before you can do them without too much problem.

Anything that periodically takes you out of your comfort zone and drags you sometimes kicking and screaming to the next level is hugely positive for you. Don’t see it as a hardship though, see it as growth and an exciting time in your life.

If you’re one of these people who thinks your body declines after the age of 30, then im here right now to tell you that you’re wrong.

With a well-structured training and eating plan, you can literally improve each and every year, seriously I’ve seen that happen to everyone who takes their health seriously and takes action every week to look after their body.

The natural evolution for people who have such a great attitude is that so many good things happen when you attain very good health. Some people treat high energy levels, low levels of body fat and good levels of strength as NORMAL now. Most people however haven’t got that luxury so that’s why I’m urging your right now to take action and make health a huge priority in your life once again!!

38 days to Christmas so an excellent time to make it happen in a hurry starting today!!!
