While we were talking about different alternatives for exercises yesterday, the number one thing you must do is just concentrate on doing SOMETHING!!!

The time it takes you to think about doing it, the facts are that you could have done something in your time.

If you have a dog for example, and typically walk the dog for 20-30 minutes a day, then what is wrong with running your usual course so it only takes you 10-15 minutes?!! This will qualify as a big workout for you.

If you constantly pass your training shoes in the hall way every day feeling quilty about not putting them on, then how about JUST DOING IT and putting them on and just get out there and run, even if its for ten minutes! Chances are that if you plan on going just for ten minutes, that will then turn into 20 minutes!! You willl enjoy yourself much more when you get going!!

Instead of waiting for the famous christmas jumper or whatever new clothes you get for christmas that you usually start wearing on boxing day for that famous “walk”, how about doing it now!!!

Now is the time and time waits for no man or woman as the saying goes, stop wishing your life away and stop making excuses for piling on body fat. You know those excuses are not going to wash on here!!!

The power of DOING far outweighs any talking about how you need to get fit, how you could have been a good runner if you only had tried, how you could have been a good cyclist only if you had the right bike etc etc!!!

If you always talk about how good things “could have been”, then you become one of those people who forever live in the past and you can be termed as a “couldhave wouldhave shouldhave” type of person.

Christmas is a week tuesday, please do not make the big mistake of giving up right now because its going to be twice as hard after christmas!!!

Thursday, 19th July

If you are continuing to struggle to get into good structures with your eating, then you need to stop over-complicating things and simplify things.

If you’re not eating breakfast for instance, you will pay for it in some way later in the day.

Not eating breakfast DOES NOT help you lose weight, and WILL encourage binge eating usually much later in the day.

START eating breakfast right now if you are interested in losing body fat straight away and maintaining healthy levels for the rest of your life.

Don’t be afraid to snack! If you don’t snack, your hunger levels will go up and down leading to bingeing again later in the day. Snacking healthily is always a successful strategy when it comes to fat loss, maintaining healthy lean muscle tissue, and feeling energised throughout the day.

Don’t skip lunch or you will pay for it later in the day. You need the satisfying feeling of a good lunch or you know what’s going to happen?!!! Those hunger pangs you get by missing lunch will lead to yet another bingeing opportunity later in the day, I hear this time and time again, so lets get it sorted right now and make your eating plan simple!

If you get the breakfast, the mid-morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snacks sorted, then you should be feeling great when it comes to evening meal.

Due to the fact that you have fed your body throughout the day, you shouldn’t be absolutely starving when it comes to evening time. Your energy levels will be much more constant and you shouldn’t feel the sudden urge to slam in a cheese sandwich whilst waiting for your main meal.

Those people who try to make the process of getting lean and healthy sound like rocket science are the same ones trying to rip you off on some kind of “wonder diet” that comes around all the time. Nearly all of those diets don’t work, and once you accept all you need to do is keep a good structure to be successful, you will never fall for those dodgy sales people ever again!!!

Bottom line is to eat often but in smaller portions, the number one way to lose body fat AND STAY FULL and end your wild bingeing on food days forever!!!

Day 7

Sunday morning and it looks like a great day out there! Hope you enjoyed your saturday, and all it’s delights and it was chance for most of you to take your feet off the gas for the first time, enjoy something “off the menu” for the first time this week and in general, relax.

Sunday morning for me has always been the opportunity to get out there and do something, whether its a run, cycle, hard walk or whatever, i have just needed to “get out there”. It’s a dry start so i urge you to do the same and get it out the way early if possible!

If you don’t get it out the way, things will come up, someone else will put demands on your time and you will be struggling to get anything done.

It’s also a time today to eat well, pizza night doesn’t continue into sunday just because “it’s the weekend”. Time to get the basics done again today, and not blow all of your hard work all week, you’re still in the challenge remember, and we are just finishing the first week to change your 2010 into the best year you’ve had in some time, perhaps ever. Nothing wrong with sunday lunch either, just go very easy with the gravy obviously and another pointer would be to limit portion sizes.

We are all tempted to stuff our plates like you see in many a carvery, but what happens after that? Our stomach’s are in pain from being too full, and then we sleep all afternoon! Which in turn, finishes off our sunday’s to a large degree, and doesn’t exactly send us into monday with a spring in our steps!

Have a good sunday and look forward to day 8, your second week already!
