Everyone we train needs to keep focusing on succeeding all the time and never get caught up in things that are going to throw you off course.
It’s very easy sometimes to sometimes get into a negative mindset that many people you know follow.
It’s easy to start “rationalizing” why missing your exercise sessions has somehow become “acceptable” now.
It’s easy to slip and eat something totally full of sugar and fat that you weren’t even planning on eating, especially in the week when you’re trying to eat well.
This is why you should already be planning on Monday’s big start to the week.
Getting into a good routine from Monday to Friday and planning ahead can make the difference between failing and succeeding in your programme.
A good idea is to map out what Monday should look like in terms of exercise and what you need to eat and drink.
If you have your food in school or work, have you taken steps to prepare it tonight or first thing tomorrow?
You know if you don’t, then the school/works canteen is unlikely to offer many healthy choices and this will automatically put you on the backfoot right at the beginning of the week when its so vital to start off with a bang.
Your workouts won’t be so good, you won’t feel energised and your desire to exercise will be nowhere near as good if you don’t feed your body well.
Is your kit bag in the boot ready so you can go the gym straight from work?
Have a great Monday and the rest of the week is likely to be good too.
Simple planning ahead makes it much easier to get the impressive results you want, those who never plan are the ones who slip back all the time wondering why a healthy lifestyle can be so hard.
