Many of you when you first start training have so much negative thoughts about yourself internally, it becomes destructive to the point where you never think you can actually get fit and healthy.
Here’s some of the most common things that people usually tell me they think about themselves at the beginning, and their chances of success. Then you need to know the truth!
1. “I’m a failure”
The truth is-you have succeeded at lots of different things in your life, so you can definitely succeed with your health in this programe.
2. “I can never lose weight, I lose it sometimes but always put it back on!”
The truth is-as long as you do what needs to be done, you’re going to reach your goals.
3. “When I get thin I will be finally happy”
The truth-why put off being happy? You can enjoy life now and confidently work towards your goals
3. “My parents are making me fat”
The truth-you should be taking responsibility for your choices and changing yourself
4. “Bingeing on food and drink is the ONLY relief for stress”
The truth-bingeing only brings on longer term stress, and exercise will quickly relieve stress.
5. “I have to be perfect this time with my food”
The truth-nobody Is perfect, and as long as I eat well 80% of the time, I know I am going to be very successful and STILL have my treats.
6. “I want to look like my favourite celebrity”
The truth-my goals now are to be the healthiest I can be and I can be the best version of me.
7. “I can’t have fun anymore if I always have to watch what I eat.”
The truth-rubbish! The fitter I become, the more I can do in everything in my life and this leads to much more fun all round.
8. “I have missed a couple of workouts, I may as well quit!”
The truth-quitting wont get me anywhere! I will re-arrange my schedule to make exercise a priority.
9 “I hate my thighs”
The truth-everyone’s legs are different in some way and im going to make the most out of my shape
