Having faith in yourself is exactly like a muscle. It needs to be worked, it needs practice and it needs regular attention.
If you work your arms for example, and then have a few weeks off, they will get softer, they will get weaker and not be capable of anything like you were back when you were working them regularly.
It’s easy to lose faith in yourself the same way. If you miss workouts, stop testing yourself, think it doesn’t matter anymore that you don’t challenge yourself so much in life, then you will start doubting your ability again, you won’t be battle hardened, and quitting is the number one way to lose faith in yourself.
Faith doesn’t come back easy either, but faith is the only way you will get back in the saddle and try to be your best again, faith is the thing that keeps you going when things seem dark and cloudy in your life, faith is the thing that keeps you strong when everything around you is falling down, faith brings you back up to your feet just when you needed to get out of the hole you may have got into.
Faith needs you to be courageous and keep showing up no matter what.
