Now your basic level of conditioning is in, its time you thought about raising your performance!
Before getting into different ways of doing so on a traning basis, i would look at your diet before you do anything at all. If you keep eating rubbish foods full of fat, sugar and salt, you will be HIGHLY unlikely TO GET INTO GOOD SHAPE FULL STOP!!! This is the first thing you need to do before you move forward, or everything becomes a real struggle for you and things will not be easy for you, no matter how hard you work on your training. Its time to be honest, realistic and blunt if it means you getting to your goals quicker, if at all!!!
The old saying that you can eat anything you want as long as you train hard is totally false, and perhaps one of the most misleading claims you have heard for years but was foolishly wrong! You lose nutrients out of your body when you train hard, so it becomes vitally important to replace them as soon as possible.
Good food is good for your body in so many ways, in fact don’t see it as good, see it as vital in your goal to become the best you can be.
It makes sense to say that if you are 15 stone to start, and begin training hard, life will become a lot easier when you are down to 14 stone. Simply being lighter allows you to move more free, you will have less strain on your joints, you will have more energy and you will be far more positive because you have already lost a stone. You will develop the required momentum to easily come down from there.
The key to this remains your eating, without repeating myself too much, this has to be in place before you waste too much effort. Approach your eating and training with equal effort, and this way you get double results!!!

something tells me i should have gone on the bike today instead of tomorrow 🙂 and left the TG till tomorrow.Arrrrr.stopped the late eating of late (cant belive i started that crap again) think its tea that does it.Why do people feel like something to go with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Cyril, If I have tea I have to have a packet of biscuits to go with it, I just drink water and juice now in the evening, my evening meal is at 5 to 5.30, no carbs after that, only an apple or kiwi fruit or yogurt. Yeah, you should have gone cyclin today, rain all day 2mo. I went for a run, my hubby dropped me off in the Country Park and I ran home, well I ran for 40mins and walked for 12mins. Eating ok, didnt lose anything last week tho, but sticking at it, think it will be an indoor workout 2mo. It is so easy to slip back into old habits, dont beat yourself up, no point in dwelling on it, 2mo is a new day mate.

yep your both right.I’ll have to try drinking something else.Thing is i’m trying to force myself not do to it but losing so far.Your right Jeany it did “P” down!!!!!but dont know why but if you look back at my posts seem to get the best out of the worst weather????did a little 10 miler today with 4 min sprints(on the way back)thought it would be easier.Not in the bloody wind we had up here this morning.
noticed today when i put the recycling out.The tin bin was put out about 5 weeks ago.Shows how much junk we have stopped eating so much of.Stupid quick foods soups,tined pies and muck like that.Thing is its just has easy and takes just has long to do it yourself.Been doing casses(chicken and beef ones)stews,spag bols,fish and veg with all this and the children have had hardly any colds.Nothing like what is going around up here.We only have chunk once a week now on a Saturday.Dont know if i’ll have time tomorrow cos i’m having new windows put in so it will depend on when they are finnished 🙂
