Every day is an essential opportunity to refresh your mental health, your wellbeing, your energy-it’s a never ending fight each day between feeling on a high, to recovering and fighting on from a low.
No one day is the same, different challenges come and then they will go, sometimes the coast will be clear, then dark clouds will start to re-appear, it’s our reaction though that is ultra-important.
Rest is good, doing nothing occasionally is essential to de-clutter our minds, but do that too often and it can hinder our ability to fight, to keep our sword sharp to slay the dragons that are certain to come, to slay the energy vampires and other demons that threatens to destroy our days, weeks and even large part of our life.
Eating rubbish is fun until we do it too often and diabetes threatens to overcome our lives with all of it’s life-destroying conditions it arrives with.
Doing nothing is fun until we find we can’t move much without pain, and suddenly we become “old” all of sudden and find it impossible to get out of that rut due to the effort seemingly required, indeed you could call it the pit we find ourselves in.
This is why it’s vital to take each day as it comes and see it not as a challenge, but a fresh opportunity again to do great things and look after ourselves for right now and for the future.
To do the things we know that will give us great mental health, we know that fresh air and getting on a sweat will lift our sprits much higher than simple doing nothing every day.
To complement that, we know we need to avoid all the ultra-processed food that can destroy our internal health as well as the way we feel. Natural foods will give us energy, help us recover from exercise and keep pain and disease from invading our bodies.
Think it’s boring eating well and exercise? Everyone I know loves the way it makes them fee, especially when they leave behind a life of inactivity and a poor diet..
Also, eating rubbish and not moving much is not much fun when disease and pain eventually invades your body because unless you move as the old saying goes, you WILL lose function and it’s no fun going back and forth to the doctors relying on pills just to function.
Moving more and eating right WILL change your life, and a true lifestyle change is always achievable when you take one day at a time, you won’t always be perfect, but as long as you keep doing your best, what appears to be an endless grind will so soon turn into fresh and encouraging set of opportunities in your life as you start to feel better again.
