Working hard at the gym can be contagious and can become what you do, and who you are, the great exercisers we have at the gym are ALL hard workers, willing to do their best and if they struggle on a new challenge initially, they know by the 3rd to 4th time they do it, they will start excelling at it, that inner confidence comes from practice, repetition and as knowing our bodies can overcome anything if we keep working at it.
When you workout hard a few times a week, your mood elevation alone will become addictive and it’s a great “side-effect” of exercising hard.
On the opposite side of the fence, try getting a takeaway every night (after all it makes you “fun” according to some people?), try having a drink every night, try sitting on the settee all week without moving too much, even throw in some vaping-and see what happens to your moods, your energy levels and the depth of your lack of desire to do just about anything.
You will get big supporters of both lifestyles as the second one is a great example of “misery loves company”.
Choose to be great today, choose to lead by example and inspire your kids/grandkids, choose to have your best days FIRMLY in front of you.
It’s ALL within your power, do something that makes you better every day, and never listen to the “crowd” who haven’t got the guts to go for it!
