Friday, 10th April

Thanks for a wonderful week, lots of you have been on top form, striving for more, getting personal bests and feeling good even at a time when a lot of people have felt in paralysis.

It’s the succession of workouts that builds your momentum, the showing up, the effort to get going even when you don’t feel like doing it.

The feeling you get when you end the workout is the one you must remember at all times. It makes you feel great at a time when you could easy skip the workout and live in a state of low energy and fear.

You will be your most resourceful for yourself and for those who you care for most when your state of mind is at its most resilient, productive and open to change.

The world is undoubtedly changing for good, and we all need to be prepared to come out of it strong, and to be ready to face the challenges that will come along.

Your attitude will be everything and you automatically become more resourceful when you are fit, healthy and strong. We are showing tremendous strength as a community, and I know how many of you have been directly helping others here and elsewhere to get through this at their lowest moments.

I salute all of you for having the courage to get stuck in, to lift your spirts above negative emotions that could engulf you and look for a better way.

Stay strong, stay safe, and make sure you continue to create a life of energy and a positive environment around you, a lot of people are counting on you.

It’s vital to live in gratitude now more than ever.
The way you view your life is more vital than ever. Appreciating what you have instead of cursing what you don’t have is so important even in these darkest of times, that will automatically paralyse our thoughts.
When you live in gratitude, you appreciate the simple things you miss, and you will appreciate them that much more in the future.
You have more time on your hands, so you have plenty of time to re-assess where your life is.
If you have low energy levels though, the way you re-asses will be totally different who has good health, good energy and who will naturally see the world differently, so its up to you to exercise and find your higher source of energy.
You will notice now more than ever how a daily walk or run even can elevate your state of mind. it’s easier to make more positive decisions about your life when your state of mind is already elevated through exercise.
You make better decisions because you are feeling better mentally but never stop at that, commit to taking action on those feel good moments about your now and future.
Doctors and the government will tell you every day how important it is to exercise, eat right and boost your immune system.
Taking daily action to do these important things will give you that added bonus of elevating your mind. It makes sense to save your best thinking time to when you are FEELING on top of the world, you will get a clarity of thought that you struggle to get at any other time.
Never will your appreciation of life be better than when you are exercising, many people call it their version of “church” because the thinking time they get helps them see life’s challenges in the right context, and often they have developed their battle plan to overcome their challenges even before they have got home from their session.
The simplest way to charge your brain up the right way is getting your trainers on, the sooner you make the body AND mind connection through your exercising the better everything will look in ALL ways.

Thursday, 9th April

I encourage you to “lean forward” again, and attempt more personal bests. Aiming to improve can become a habit if you keep having a go.

I have so many messages, videos and photos off you stating how much you are improving and you are knuckling down to new challenges that are testing you in so many different ways.

ALSO, some of the workouts I deliberately mark as very tough, many of you are now doing, and are thriving on them, you now realise you are capable of more than you initially thought.

Self-Belief is vital in times of maximum uncertainty. Without self-belief you have less hope and this is why its important to measure yourself on a constant stream of challenges.

You can become stronger than ever in your body and your mind if you have trust in your ability, have faith in your ability to stick at it and show up for your workouts, and you reward yourself constantly with good food and recover well.

We all have moments of doubt, but we MUST face them head on at THAT EXACT moment, and try at least to beat them by proving to ourselves daily that we not only have strength in our bodies, but we have strength of mind to continually have a go, and get better at every single workout we pick and have a go at.
