Day 30 Your future

Is it at all possible that you have a wonderful chance for a tremendously more exciting and rewarding life, but you tend to undervalue yourself and put yourself down because you don’t think that life is possible?

If you do think that a exciting life is indeed possible,  are you are stuck in a place you don’t think you can get out of? If that is the case, would it be fair to say that you are really a unique and special person with the need to do and be all of who you can be. You may not achieve this maybe because you feel weighed down by life, by responsibilities and you don’t really “want to make a fuss”!

If you are really this person with huge ambitions for yourself and don’t do anything about it, you are letting yourself down, your family and all of those who depend on you for whatever reason. I wasted years working in an office, not really believing i could make it on my own. I am making up for it now, but i don’t you to waste all those years yourself, and that’s why you need to be on this programme changing your life around and being your best, and really creating the new you.

Taking control your life again is hugely liberating. It’s all about finding the old you and to do that, you only have to think back to the best times of your life and how good they made you feel.

What was the happiest time of your life? The most fulfilled and the most you’ve just been “yourself”. In those times, life should have been full of excitement and energy, and at the same time, you will have been at peace with yourself as life was calm on the inside.

You may have been in employment, but work would have seemed so much fun back then in your best time. You may have felt as if you were exactly who you were meant to be, and working with colleagues who you wanted to work with.

You made decisions for the right reasons and you didn’t care what anyone else thought, they were the right thing to do and that’s what really counted. There was no self-doubt and no excess worrying, everything life in life will have flowed together and you lived every day looking forward to the next. There was a sense of optimisim, that good things would always happen, as long as you put the work in and you treated people fairly.

You weren’t sure  what the future would bring, but you didn’t care so much then, as you were full of self-assurance, not arrogant but confident in your abilities and you were going to strive to get what was rightfully yours, no matter how long it took. Your accepted the way you were and this was the fundamental reason this was the happiest period in your life.

To get back to these times, you need to discover what is important, and throw away the negative stuff that is hurting your progress to a better life. Life can push you out sometimes so its time to put your life together again and respect yourself for who you are and what you do.

Life is not “going along” with any old rubbish, life isn’t “a bitch and then you die”, it really doesn’t have to be that way at all and deep down you know it. It’s not about “getting by” and if you just do that, you have settled for a life much far less than i bet you thought when you were 18!

It’s time to put the excitement back in there, and get back to your best times, when endless possibilities existed and life was flowing with endless energy. Those of you who have significantly improved their fitness, health, their bodyfat, blood pressure, energy levels, skin tone, hair, teeth, resting heart rate, organ function, will all know that life tastes better where you are right now and your “old self” is coming back! 30 days into this thing already, you have an incredible 54 days to make an even bigger difference so let’s get excited and keep making the change!

Day 29

Wow, doesn’t day 29 sound a long time! It does for some of you maybe too, and it does make you realise that life doesn’t always go to plan, things don’t work out right sometimes, and sometimes you’re simply chasing your tail to stand still!

What i have noticed mor e and more over the last couple of weeks is a true secret to success. After studying people who are successful, and seeing what really makes a difference in their lives, i have noticed a key thing.

Most if not all of us are faced with key decisions and trivial decisions throughout the week. If anyone had any valentine chocolates yesterday, and you had one, was it possible to stop at one? Very hard task wouldn’t you agree?

What happens when we are feeling down, is it possible sometimes that we are bought a cake, or some junk to cheer us up? Hasn’t that happened more than a few times to all of us?

What about when we are in the supermarket, we think sometimes “oh go on then” to a certain piece of fast food we never think we are ever going to eat? But then we eat it a couple of days later!!! Ever happened to you?

What about when we promised ourselves that great workout the weekend, and somethings comes up and we never get to do it, has that ever happened to you? And have you noticed once you cancel one workout, how easy it becomes to cancel a few of them, simply writing it off as “one of those things”!

What i am talking about here is those split second decisions that wreck our ambitions at times, seemingly meaningless decisions but they can create a negative pattern when we are trying to get into top shape!

What about then when we eat less well, we actually become less well. When we workout less well or not at all, we become less well and that’s a fact.

I have said before about the old saying “its in the moments of indecision that your destiny is shaped”. Never has it been more true when you think about it. Just look at all of those moments i have listed at the start of this post, and they potentially happen to all of us every day or certainly at least once or twice a week.

Guess what happens when you don’t make the right decisions constantly? You develop NO momentum, and this hammers your progress! Momentum is critical.

It sounded a simple plan didn’t it when we first started? Implementing it is easier said than done, it all starts with the first steps again so if you have been derailed lately, its time to get back onboard and getting the basics a big part of your life again.

Life is too short for excuses so stop kidding yourself. You have it in you to be your best, time to do it right now!

Day 28

Here we are then, end of the foruth week and a pivotal point!

We are a third of the way through, and many of you have had very good results.

We are also on Valentine’s day, and in case you think i have lost my mind and wondering what Valentine’s day has to do with our programme, it is always the time that people have given in on their new year resolutions, that is if they have got this far in the first place!!

January 1st seems a long way back for most people and the promises they made to themselves to finaally do it this year!

Why have they failed? Maybe it’s because they had unrealistic plans in the first place and their targets were too high (such as lose 3 stone by march or else!). Maybe they have joined a gym where they have little or no instruction, and the people advising them weren’t really qualified or experienced enough to really help them. After all, surely there is more to being an instructor than knowing how to work the machines?!!

Another reason of failure is going on a too restricted diet, under 1200 calories per day is not only unrealistic but it is dangerous and a state of being malnourished, please ask your doctor this or check any medical manual. Plus, you cannot keep this silly practice up for life, which in turn leads to you putting all the weight back on, and 5% according to latest statistics!

Another reason of failure is expecting a perfect world! Guess what? It doesn’t exist! There will always be bumps on the road, its my job to make you avoid them and overcome them. Life is full of pressure and stress at times, but if you’re eating better and healthier, and training and exercising most days, you automatically feel better, and statistics show you will automatically cope with life’s stress in a much more positive way.

Back to today then! What do you have planned this sunday? If you can’t find the time to exercise on a sunday and especially on this challenge, you need to take a long hard look in the mirror, and really wonder if you’re commited to changing your life for the better.

So what’s, its very cold out there! Haven’t you some extra clothes and hows about a pair of gloves, they weren’t that expensive when i last looked?

The choice you have today is either making a meaningful contribution to your health and life in general, or lying on the settee all day and moaning about life and the week ahead?!

If you do get active, that week ahead will look mightily more attractive, i guarantee it! Plus you will be on course still to looking the way YOU WANT by spring/summer, its really not that far away!!
