Here we are then, end of the foruth week and a pivotal point!
We are a third of the way through, and many of you have had very good results.
We are also on Valentine’s day, and in case you think i have lost my mind and wondering what Valentine’s day has to do with our programme, it is always the time that people have given in on their new year resolutions, that is if they have got this far in the first place!!
January 1st seems a long way back for most people and the promises they made to themselves to finaally do it this year!
Why have they failed? Maybe it’s because they had unrealistic plans in the first place and their targets were too high (such as lose 3 stone by march or else!). Maybe they have joined a gym where they have little or no instruction, and the people advising them weren’t really qualified or experienced enough to really help them. After all, surely there is more to being an instructor than knowing how to work the machines?!!
Another reason of failure is going on a too restricted diet, under 1200 calories per day is not only unrealistic but it is dangerous and a state of being malnourished, please ask your doctor this or check any medical manual. Plus, you cannot keep this silly practice up for life, which in turn leads to you putting all the weight back on, and 5% according to latest statistics!
Another reason of failure is expecting a perfect world! Guess what? It doesn’t exist! There will always be bumps on the road, its my job to make you avoid them and overcome them. Life is full of pressure and stress at times, but if you’re eating better and healthier, and training and exercising most days, you automatically feel better, and statistics show you will automatically cope with life’s stress in a much more positive way.
Back to today then! What do you have planned this sunday? If you can’t find the time to exercise on a sunday and especially on this challenge, you need to take a long hard look in the mirror, and really wonder if you’re commited to changing your life for the better.
So what’s, its very cold out there! Haven’t you some extra clothes and hows about a pair of gloves, they weren’t that expensive when i last looked?
The choice you have today is either making a meaningful contribution to your health and life in general, or lying on the settee all day and moaning about life and the week ahead?!
If you do get active, that week ahead will look mightily more attractive, i guarantee it! Plus you will be on course still to looking the way YOU WANT by spring/summer, its really not that far away!!

managed a 50 min stint on the TG this morning nearly killed me cos i still cant shift this cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so wont be biking this week dont think until this cold eases.eating has been all to pot cos of this cold either nother some days or any and everthing in site the next!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Cyril, you still have ur cold then, so have I. Still managed to lose 2lbs, but put 1lb back on over the weekend, cant blame Valintine’s think it is the fact that I cant do anything really, took my granddaughter over the beach yesterday, she wanted to build sand castles with Bud, the dog, and she was running up the Dunes and I could’nt keep up with her, my hubby was not there, he is building a Gym for my son, so I had to go after her, had no choice. Kept sucking on my pump, felt awful, for her not me, she was so worried about me thought extra kisses would make me better. She should,nt have to see it. Will be glad when I can start even to speed walk. Finished my antibiotics so fingers crossed. I think what your doin is a good thing, refraining from your cycling when you have a cold, it is bloody cold on the bike and there is always a wind even if it is a calm day. my eating hasnt been brilliant, mostly a sandwich her and there cos I dont feel like a big meal, and then I snack, so may as well have had a meal. when my Peak Flow is over 300 I can do more then. Feel better cyril. Welcome to all the new challengers, havent read all the comments yet, how is Wendy doin I wonder. Jeanxxx
cheers Jeany 🙂 still got this cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i’m afraid to lose anymore workouts thats why i’m doing the TG so at least i’m getting something done….dont it again today for 50 mins. But my eating is all to pot at the min.Sometimes i’m eating for wales then nothing for days?thing thats pived me off the most is, i cant get any more Onions,Garlic&Lemons boiled up into me and all the fresh stuff i’ve been eating…..this has to be the longest one i’ve ever had?only thing i’m taking is my pump religiously not now an d then like i normally do.Never mind i’ll have some right making up to do when i am right thats for sure 🙂 🙂
Ditto Cyril, nice to c your still smiling, the little faces I mean. Onions, Garlic & Lemons, YUK, would’nt miss that mate, I am taking my pump religiously also, more in fact, this cant last 4ever can it. Your doin well Cyril, its good that you can keep up with the exercise, I have done nothing and it will be a shock to the system when I start back, the Doc says that my peak flow must be over 300 b4 I do any exercise, 260 this morning, wont b long I hope.
And must add, THE GAME ON SATURDAY, the last 8mins were blinding, awesome, watched it over and over again, couldn’t believe it, I almost switched it off. Pity we could not have done that last week
great to see you back jean! and time to pick up the pace again!
be careful cyril about working too hard with the cold, as your overall trend progress wise is good.
Hi there Jean and Cyril. So sorry you’re not well!! Don’t be tempted to over exert yourselves until you are completely well. You have put in the hard work before this, and you have “money in the bank”. You will soon be showing us all up again!!
Had a good week again. Lost 2 pounds, although think I might have sweated a pound off during the match! What a finish!! I measured myself and haven’t lost an inch. It’s odd because I am definitely changing shape. Not worried though, it’s all interesting stuff!!
Determined to keep the momentum going. Added more to my indoor workouts, but really need to do more outside.
All the best.
Deb xx
Hi Debs, you are doin soooo well girl, and the loss, all good stuff, keep it goin Debs. Seen Doc this morning, cant start back training yet, dont know what he thinks I will be doing, he is thinking of the old Jean and she is long gone. I used to be an ANIMAL but I am tame now. Went for a walk 45mins, tried indoor workout, could’nt do it, so will be a patient patient. No point in me posting until I can do something worth talking about. Keep up the good work Debs. Jean x
Thank you Jean!!
Listen to your Doc and behave yourself!!

your shape changing and clothes feeling better should be two excellent signs and you know these to be two very good signs that you are well on track, lighter nights so let’s up the pace outside too please, and its slightly warmer!
