Day 36 for most of you in this 12 week challenge and time to ask yourself a few important questions!

Are you getting big results still? From my records most of you still are! You should be very proud indeed so keep it going as you approach the halfway stage!!

Or has some negativity set in? Have you started to eat badly? Are you missing sessions for less and less important reasons?

Are you avoiding anything to do with exercising and eating well?

Are you true to yourself and remaining honest and accountable to yourself? As much as we want you to succeed, it is ultimately down to you and if you are not giving it your best, then you are unlikely to achieve the success you want unless you re-evaluate your commitment levels and what you are prepared to do to get it.

So those of you who are hitting some big numbers in your measurements, and performance numbers, this is the time to build on that big foundation you have!!!

Now is the time you go from doing well to being a contender to actually winning this thing.

Being your best in these 12 weeks means breaking away from the pack that maybe dictates what you do in life.

You have to say no to the friends who say its boring not to eat pizza midweek, the ones who tell you to get a life unless you drink all weekend every weekend.

People will question you as you get more and more successful. Some people won’t like you reaching your goals and beyond that again.

Realise that you are coming totally out of your comfort zone, that you are striving for more in life, and this success in your 12 weeks will mean your chances of success in every area of your life will increase dramatically too.

Now is exactly the time to really go for it, to test yourself like you’ve never done before so let’s give it everything you have!!!

Wednesday, 4th February

Today signifies the start of the year again for us in outside workout terms.

We got outside in a proper today, the sun was shining, but we got to do everything we usually do, and many of you were new to it today and hopefully enjoyed it.

It’s always good mixing it up, and the aim is always to make you good at everything, and be prepared for anything.

When you are a good runner, when you are developing your speed and agility well, when you become good at weights, when your balance is improving rapidly, when your endurance is ever increasing-then you know your fitness is where it should be and it easily translates into general life too.

Your energy levels should be having a huge uplift too.

There’s no point in trying to get fit and not feeling full of energy in general life too.
After all of that work today, you need to keep putting good food in to help you recover much better because you’re going to need it.

So from now on until December we are likely to be mixing it much more as usual, and although hard at first, you will soon get used to it and be able to deliver even more results in your monthly measurements!!

Thursday, 29th January

The most powerful weapon you can develop to achieve anything you want is the thing we talk about a lot-consistency.

All things that are worth getting are achieved through hard work every time.

There’s no short cuts, no easy way out, if you want to get better at anything you had better be prepared to put the hard graft in.

Assuming you are ready to put the work in, then the next step is to never give up until you get there.

How many of your friends started a fitness effort up early January and have now given up? According to research, 90% of them have given up by now!

There are reasons why they give up of course, and never been put on a proper programme is the biggest one, never been looked after and shown what to do properly are high on the list.

So you are on our programme and you are naturally setting your sights high.

You are positive and despite some ups and downs along the way, you are achieving great results but always looking for more.

It’s the carrying on when you feel a bit down that is vital.

It’s the never stopping losing focus of your overall goal.

Its making training sessions happen, showing up even when its dark, wet and freezing outside and the easiest thing is to go home and sit on the settee.

Once you get into a mindset of seeing things through no matter what, it will give you the confidence to achieve time and time again in all areas of your life, as you will have proved to yourself that you can do this and anything else you put your mind to.

Be consistent and you will win every time. You may see others make more progress over the first couple of weeks for example, but if you stick at it, and stick to your principles of doing things the RIGHT WAY and GIVE IT LONG ENOUGH, you will soon enough catch them up and leave them trailing in your wake.

Sunday, 18th January

Most of you are doing exceptionally well in the first two weeks, but there will be plenty of ups and downs to come.

If you are looking to complete the 12 weeks perfectly, then that’s totally unrealistic. You will slip at times, but staying positive with your eyes on the overall improvement you’re making is vital. Your mind plays tricks with you, and making these changes may make you want to go back to your old ways at times.

If you have had a measurement this week, and your last one was BEFORE Christmas, then expect to have put body fat and inches ON because you haven’t been training as much, you have been eating as well, and you have probably been drinking more too.

You’re encouraged to be as consistent as possible with your training, this makes ALL the difference, and not listening to people who will put you off because deep down they don’t want you to be more successful than they are..

If you start skipping sessions, missing a week here and there, expect to feel de-motivated and finding it hard to get the same results. Don’t blame others why you’re not getting great results, when you analyse it all, if you have been eating poorly and missing training, then we cannot somehow conjure magic up for you and get you in shape.

Don’t tell yourself “stories” why you would have done it if so and so happened, why in the past body fat would have “dropped off quicker”. Be honest, you need to put the work in CONSISTENTLY and don’t miss sessions for the easiest of excuses. You have to want to do this because there’s plenty of people who will try to talk you out of being successful.

From research, theres plenty of evidence that successful people who get really fit and healthy, achieve sometimes staggering tranformations, often get “talked out” of their lifestyles by friends, usually because they are jealous of your success.

“Don’t do that anymore, you’re slim enough now”, “don’t lose ANYMORE weight for god sake”, “whats the point in getting fit anyway!!!”, “why don’t you come walking with me instead”, “you’re obsessed with being healthy!!!”.

These are classic signs of people close to you or you may work with who hate to see you doing so well.

Time to get your head down and focus on the huge change you are making to yourself. Be the one who says “no” at times, be the one who is a little different, be the one who doesn’t follow the crowd, and then you will achieve the extraordinary!

Sunday, 11th January

The most challenging aspect about our 12 week challenge is that we have to keep working for a while, consistently and efficiently, before we can see the payoff.

There will be a winner, but there are likely to be many, many “winners” because you are all likely to change yourselves dramatically, both stronger physically and mentally.

If you think you are going to look your best in two weeks, then you are in the wrong place because it won’t happen like that. Those who promise you that are charlatans, rip off merchants with no place in the fitness industry, or any industry.

They come and go every 5 minutes, just like the results they somehow “promise”.

It takes lots of small changes and hard work over a sustained period of time full stop. If you don’t put the work in and you are the type to give up after five minutes, then miracles won’t happen for you.

With us you’re going to be taught how to train properly, to lift properly, to take proper care how you train, how to recover, how to stay positive, when you train and what you do each time.

You will be taught that you’re only competing against yourself, and not comparing yourself to others.

Our oldest and long term members are the ones to follow. They know what hard work is all about. They aren’t “January” trainers, they are there in the freezing cold, the ultra-hot summer’s and setting new goals to have a big flourish at year end.

Our place doesn’t work like a lottery ticket, we work “magic” in 5 minutes and all of a sudden you are clothes are falling off you because you have suddenly become so lean and athletic!

We are about strong values, not putting up with fads, and seeing our programme through no matter how tough things get along the way, it takes time and consistency at doing the little things right.

A hard work-ethic is vital and you will develop one if you stick at it. Once you do, the truly amazing results you really want will be yours.
