What’s your workout you find solace in? Personally I feel great when I get down the gym every day to hit it hard, I feel amazing when I run up the mountain, every workout should put you mentally in a better place.

Whatever stresses are going in your life, you need a place to where you can escape to.

Under the current lockdown, that could be a spare room, or room you currently exercise in, it could be somewhere you run, walk or cycle, most people have a place were they feel comfortable, and a place they can thrive in.

Your workout should let you escape mentally from everything. When the workout gets into full flow, your mind should be in a calmer better place especially right after you finish.

A place where everything seems clear, brighter and somewhere your mind can focus on something different from all the day to day stresses you have.

When you run a hill, everything seems much worse mentally at the bottom of the hill. At the top, that sense of achievement will be felt firmly in the mind.

The joy at being at the top of a hill can’t be beaten, especially if you’ve got up there using your own power, and the more you do it, the more you will enjoy it.

The chance to escape has never been so important, so make it a vital part of your day every day.
