We are hard wired to listen to negative comments 7 times more than positive comments about us. This is the way we are built according to all sorts of studies, and the way we handle opinions and who we hang out with are crucial to our happiness, and peace deep inside of us.
When we believe and say out loud the negativity that is affecting us, we tend to believe it, and can have a times 10 negative effect on our immune system and health in general because we will start to act out and live by that new reality if we believe it to be true.
Studies show that negative thinkers struggle to complete basic tasks when compared to more positive thinkers.
If someone that influences us tells us that exercise and eating healthy are no good for us, then we may believe they have a point. We many not initially see the obvious part that they don’t exercise themselves and we are only showing them up by being fitter, healthier and happier, and they are the unhappy and unfulfilled ones.
We all have had people in our lives that we have listened to that negatively affect our lives, and until we stop their voice constantly running us down and get them out of our lives, the constant attacks however subtle they seem, will not only stop us doing deeply beneficial things for our lives, they will start to affect our health too, leading to horrible feelings of anxiety and worry that will keep us at at 3am.
Don’t believe something is too good to last or you don’t deserve it, you deserve your success if you work hard enough at it over time, never let ANYONE take that away from it, even better leave those people disappear from your life, life will change overnight for you.
We love positive people at the gym and we are known for our unique atmosphere. We accept though that not everyone wants to join that bus and if they don’t want to be part of the special positive supportive place we create, then we encourage energy vampires to join another bus with more like minded people. We build you up, near tear you down, we know how vital that is.
Try crushing some of that negativity with a workout in a positive environment with a coach that builds you up constantly, try not voicing your negative feelings for 24 hours and giving them life (start being grateful for all the great things you have going for you in your life).
Listen to the right voice in your head, crush your fears and anxiety and see you immune system go to great heights, along with your happiness.
