How many of you have stared at the machinery in a gym at a hotel abroad or anywhere.
You struggle to get going, you maybe not quite sure how to work something or its purpose, and you do your best with what you have.
Hotel gyms usually have no atmosphere and usually no people in them. Most people don’t exercise on holiday, they want a break from feeling good in my view, I know so many of you now take your red t-shirt and trainers to every place you go to.
Getting a gym atmosphere takes a long time, often many years. It’s about having the right people and having so many positive ones that the energy vampires feel compelled to leave, they can’t handle good vibes all of the time.
I can’t stand cliques of any kind, if you have to rely on who you know to get ahead, then you have arrived at a sad place and you don’t believe in your true ability, a sad waste and cliques can only make everyone feel uncomfortable.
Culture comes from doing the right thing for people even if it means facing them down if they have stepped out of line or upset people. Sorting problems as they happen is of paramount importance to running a gym, as well as enjoying all the good stuff that always happens.
I survived on a minimum amount of equipment training people for donkeys years in their houses, now we have loads it’s like coming to Disneyland every day for me.
The atmosphere though is the magic dust, and without it any gym would flounder. Thanks for creating it in abundance this week, and being so fired up in creating the magic.
