Here’s what I know you learn committing to a team like ours.
You start full of hope and optimism. We repay this faith with coaching every session and nothing left to chance. We encourage you, we believe in you and we have the highest of hopes in you.
You tell your family and friends that you are going to come to us 3 times a week, because this is what we told you would work incredibly well for you and for £30 a month it’s going to change your life.
Your family/friends/those closest to you admire your decision, wish maybe they could have your ambition and get up and go to put your health first.
You follow through on your pledge and when you do 100% of the time you will see good to outstanding results if you are willing to work.
Then a crucial stage comes. I bang on all the time about showing up 3 times a week to get excellent results, and the moment arrives when you either stick at it, or you allow life and excuses to come into your life.
I don’t say excuses flippantly as you think because I really believe that if you want something really badly, and what’s more important than your health, you WILL show up.
Or you allow yourself to tell another version of the story. Work is too much, something comes up all the time, I’m “not feeling it”, I’m having a bad day, I’ve lost “my mojo”, I’m too old, I’m too big, I will start back after Christmas and so on.
I have to say this in plain English, The admiration that people had for you starting your fitness journey starts to disappear once you tell them you’re not making it anymore, however good the story is. Harsh, but true. People love people who try and beat the odds, however bad their starting point and they will only get inspired by your efforts as long as you stick with it.
When you join our gym, you develop admiration from all of us and that’s a fact. I deeply respect and admire you decision to join, to spend time with us at the gym, and the trust you have shown us.
We will do ANYTHING to keep you motivated, to keep you well-coached and bang on track with your progress and at £30 a month we know its a game-changer, unbeatable and changing the way fitness is done. You will develop a positive attitude and we are aways keen on keeping energy vampires OUT as our team is everyting.
The facts are that there are many people who have lots of kids train at our gym every day. There are people in deep pain every day training at our gym making their lives better and I see it first hand.
There are many people with mental health issues at our gym every day and literally they are getting their minds back into a much better place and see hope again when they thought it was extinguished.
The courage I see every day from the likes of so many people allows me to say after all these years that you NEED to show up 3 times a week no matter what because a good quality of life DEPENDS on it, and NOT ONE of your excuses will beat so many of the people with so many problems who keep showing up no matter what, because they know they are living better because of exercise and eating right FULL STOP.
Life is a series of choices, and everyone is counting on you to be the next one to go on a journey that will change your life.
