We are always adding value to our lives or taking it away.
Everyday you exercise, you add enormous value to your cells deep within your body, enormous value to the performance your body is capable of, you add value to your mental health too, when you exercise you get your mind in a very good place indeed.
On the other hand, how does this sound? You have 2 weeks off the gym, it becomes harder to start back. You start blaming your “mojo”. The excuses get easier to make not to start back, and especially easy when you hang out with people with little or zero ambition with their health.
This situation means you are taking value away from your life because your energy is dropping, your ambition is evaporating and your once positive state of mind and self-confidence is now in the rear view mirror.
Everyday we have an opportunity to ADD great value and meaning to our lives. We all have set number of days left in our lives, and isn’t it hugely vital to live them with the maximum amount of energy, drive and passion?
Shouldn’t we try to live them with vigour and excitement for what’s to come in life? Don’t we owe that to ourselves?
The fact that we all don’t have all the time left in the world should shake us out of living with complacency?
Living with complacency is feeding rubbish into our bodies daily, living with complacency is not exercising and leaving weeks turn into months, and then turn into years of wasted opportunities of what we can really be.
Wake up tomorrow and appreciate every meal is an add or lose value situation, every workout you do or miss is an add or lose situation.
We all have choices, up to you.

Brick walls appear for us all, and there’s a very valid reason for them. They are there to test us so those who really want it bad enough CAN get through them if they are prepared to battle hard.
Many things I have tried haven’t come off, but when they don’t, I am able to see clues why they didn’t, then modify my approach.
Brick walls are there to stop people who don’t want it badly enough, and there’s plenty of them, so it’s down to you to be one of the minority in life that doesn’t accept no for an answer, and you’re flexible enough to keep changing and perfecting your approach.
Brick walls put people off chasing what they really want.
Most people quit after the first attempt on just about anything, they may to afraid to stick their hands up again and have another go, worrying about what “so and so” would think, when the reality is that you need to ignore those who are not really on your side, they are not encouraging you and they don’t really want the best for you.
It would be ideal to face a brick wall with loads of your friends, work colleagues and family, but that usually never happens.
Deep down, the only way you will smash down any wall is to keep showing up, keep being surrounded by like minded people in the gym, keep putting in good performances, choose good food to keep you going through the wall, and realise that if you keep knocking, keep trying, you will get there.
Remember brick walls are only temporary obstacles for us who really want great things, but they will remain permanent obstacles for those who never want to put the real work in necessary.
Your choice, and we all have the same opportunity so don’t kid yourself it’s any different for any of us.
