Peace and stillness of your mind is deeply, unavoidably linked to exercise. Peace, happiness and stillness of your mind is something we all seek and hope to achieve, and keep on achieving.

Exercise is my own flushing out of toxins that threaten to overwhelm me at times, we all get a lot thrown at us each day, that’s why tried and tested strategies are so vital for us. 

I deal with a lot of people every day, an incredible amount every week and this is why my message has to be consistent and it has to be simple at it’s core, because i know over a long period of time, it’s been proven to work.

I have become very much focused on what’s important in my week, and taking everything else out that’s a distraction.

Distractions are our enemy if we want to achieve things consistently.

Things will either take you away from what you want or move you towards what you want with positive momentum.

Whatever keeps you peace, happiness and stillness of your mind has to become part of your life on a daily basis.

Compare yourself when you exercise regularly and when you don’t? 

Compare yourself when you eat much more natural food or when you eat rubbish?

Compare yourself when you hang out with positive people all the time or when you are stuck with negative influences that grind you down?

Your peace, happiness, mood, deep down joy and stillness of your mind is shaped by your daily habits and all of those listed are mostly controlled by YOU.

Choose wisely and get your kit ready for tomorrow’s workout, a key part of how you will feel at the end of your day. Get your physical side right, and this will automatically spark your brain into a far more positive and productive place.

Thursday 17th October

Daniel Smith mentioned me tonight about the humble beginnings of the great class he developed, which Emma Williams is coaching so well too now.

At one time, we didn’t have anything out the back, then when we did we had no lights. So everything had to be done in the front up the hill in the winter.

It was often minus 3 out there, it was hammering down with rain, and in general they were out in all weathers.

Tonight he told me of the time he took the girls in torrential rain. Took some markers with him, doing lunges, press ups over the puddles, all sorts, yet one magical thing happened.

NOT ONE person quit. This shaped the future of the class. It developed a hardcore of members who were willing to do whatever it takes to get into outstanding physical condition.

That mantra has continued with Emma. Tonight was another huge effort, another question mark whether the class could get through it again.

Yet somehow they all do without exception. These classes build grit, character and resilience of the highest order.

I know October draws into the gym the most dedicated trainers we all deeply admire, and they train ALL YEAR ROUND which is the true SECRET of success.

Getting through these classes can give you the discipline to conquer anything else you want in life. All you have to do is show up, and the immense positivity of Emma and the group will get you through.
