I’ve had one of my best Mondays ever, because I saw a lot of fire-breathing dragons at the gym today thinking for THEMSELVES and using great intelligence, integrity and a desire to boost their immune systems to all time high-PLUS we had the added secret of ingredient of LAUGHTER and FUN.
To all of those who came today, just remember how GREAT you felt after the session, that emotional high, that sense of achievement you got through something incredible and you are rightly proud of yourself. I want you to savour it.
Then, when the next energy vampire tells you not to exercise, please send me the conversation because we love smashing trash talk in its rightful place in a workout out the back. You get rid of negativity and toxicity in OUR SESSIONS, and realise we are the best stress busters in history!!
When someone gives you advice on whether or not to exercise and eat well, realise that most of the time they may not have your best interests at heart, they may struggle with their health themselves and say right now you will never take advice off anyone who doesn’t exercise themselves, they may eat a lot of white bread, eat foods packed with sugar every day, ready meals and rubbish every day so how will they understand your deepest goals, ambitions and dreams.
Realise when you train with us, you don’t follow the herd or the crowd, to get such outstanding results continually you will have to think different, you will have to ignore the advice off negative people, you will have to be a little single minded making sure you do the things that only boost your life in a big way.
Say NO to doubt, anxiety and smash stress and say YES PLEASE to happiness, self esteem, self pride and self fulfilment.
In the most uncertain of times, I’m asking you to keep standing up for yourself, to be an incredible leader yourself and I’m asking you to be ALL IN with your effort, passion, perseverance, enthusiasm and deep knowledge that you’re doing the very best for your yourself, your family and those closest to you.
I am extremely grateful for giving me one of our best ever Mondays, let’s see what we can do with Tuesday!!!
Sunday, 27th September
I know some of you are finding it tough mentally again, but the good news is that we have experience of a much tougher lockdown before (Burry port is not in a lockdown but we know our great friends in llanelli are).
You have heard me say this many times, you have to keep MOVING or your mobility and mental health will SUFFER dramatically. Just move, we have an incredibly beautiful area, love it and fully experience the great outdoors.
I have seen TOO MANY cases of people staying in the house watching TV almost all the time starting off in perfectly good health, and then experiencing devastating the very real affects of even a lighter lockdown because they think they can’t do a thing.
Within a couple of weeks, the effect on the body can be horrendous. Pain and anxiety starts taking over the body and will become overwhelming over a period of weeks.
Your optimistic mind can shut down gradually until you become a pessimist. The world is going to end, the world is against you and perhaps it is indeed “ok” to accept a life of sitting in your favourite chair all day, after all life “as you know it” is over (or at least the media will try to convince you of that). I wouldn’t wish that kind of physical and mental deterioration on anyone.
The GOOD news is that our gym is OPEN this time and ready to help. Many of you are at all time best levels of fitness and mental strength.
There is NO REASON why that cannot continue, whether outside in our many classes, inside the gym with all the great equipment, or online with over 800 workout videos plus yoga, with our newly shot in 5K videos, the experience has never been better.
You should never want to live in a world where people tell you NOT to exercise just because some person telling you says so, it may be a “friend” a work colleague or someone who thinks they have some kind of hold over you but they never want the best for you. We all know people like that.
Look at who’s telling you that, do they have miserable life themselves? Chances are they do and the live in pain of some kind because they don’t move more themselves or have the courage to do so. Some people will hate you trying to better yourself full stop, don’t fall for it.
This week I strongly encourage, no I mean put it at the top of your list to move more every day, to strengthen your mind and keep your optimism at an all time high because good times are on their way again.
Your body and mind needs to be stronger than ever to see that because if you aren’t doing a thing, you probably hate me telling you the truth but it’s my DUTY to tell you the truth, and my experience and the experiences of others and the decline you can have if you’re not exercising at least 3 times a week.
Your body craves you to move, your mind relies on it or it will start playing tricks on you and leave you in a state of constant anxiety and stress. Exercise is your number one strategy to feel better full stop so embrace the wonders it can bring into your life.
No more time for words, but plenty of time for ACTION.
