Sunday 26th Jan

The new progamme tomorrow will be working on your. weakness as well as your strengths, we all like doing certain exercises and do not like other unfamiliar movements, but these ones can make or break us.

It’s always funny for those outside our system who wonder why we do doing so much balance work in our workouts, but here’s a question you should ask them.

1.Do they write exercise programmes for a living (almost certainly not)

.2. Have they really got good balance if they don’t practice it? (almost certainly not)

3. Do they work almost exclusively on machines in exercise terms that has no relevance to real life movement? (almost certainly yes).

I lLOVE chalenging people and taking them to another level, because there will ALWAYS be ANOTHER level!!!Be ready to go tomorrow, be ready to learn and embrace the next big change!

Announcement-this page will only keep improving

Breaking news

Most of the content on here will now be posted to Keri Mckibbin Performance & Recovery on Facebook and www.kerimckibbin.co.uk due to a number of factors.

After research, a majority of the members are NOT on Facebook anymore having left social media. Also, with www.kerimckibbin.co.uk only increasing it’s members, I will be putting much more content on there as well as your normal brand new daily workouts.

To get on our Keri Mckibbin Performance & Recovery page (it will not be visible to anyone else on Facebook, you MUST be a paying monthly member regularly at the gym, this is ONLY FAIR to everyone else paying (I’m being fair to every other paying member and other members have requested this fairness on more than one occasion so I am listening).

I have removed people from this page before as they stopped training with us and on occasions they somehow were not happy with it at all, and I’m soft hearted so I don’t always do it as I would love everyone to train with us and share the extreme value we give in our coaching.

This NEW page will include a lot of videos of what we are doing right now, in terms of performance and RECOVERY which as you know, is a huge part of what we do now, and we can say things on there I don’t feel we can say on here (as ridiculous as that sounds!).

All you have to do to become a member is message me saying you do, and you are a paying monthly member, I will not put you on there if you do not ask so it’s your choice, if you do not have a commitment to getting better and your alignment with our strong values as a gym. This will be a page where you need to be ALL IN in getting healthier, performing at your highest level, there will be a huge amount of honesty and everyone will be supported.

The page will start sometime next week, and I’m off social media the rest of the weekend as usual due to commitments, so any messages will be actioned on Monday next.

Thanks for your understanding as always and we are determined to make this site a lot stronger and exciting, and most of all informative and serving you very well in your health.,

Balance issues?

An incredible 30% of people aged 65 or over are likely to have a fall this year-this is official.

On top of that, the recovery from those falls is far from guaranteed, and a sequence of events can follow from there, in terms of other ailments from the lack of movement affecting your whole body.

Just about all your functions will go in reverse, your balance will go down dramatically as well as your self confidence and willingness to go out not to risk more falls.

We all know people who never recover from falls, and relying on the system to help you and fix you is becoming an increasingly hopeless case.

It’s not all doom and gloom though. IF you constantly practice your balance, get your body stronger, then your chances of falling decreases SIGNIFICANTLY.

If you do fall and you are fit and strong, your chances of recovery are much stronger as long as you continue to take action and keep moving, keep getting stronger and imagine your best days are STILL ahead of you.

It’s not really about your age, it’s about YOU and your attitude to keep going and the work you put into in every day to get better-a big decline DOES NOT have to happen.

Try new things, get out and about and get fresh air, trust in the science of exercise and keep working on your balance, and the endless benefits it will bring as you age.

Balance improvement should be in every workout you do, because without it you have nothing, and a life without as many options or confidence anymore.

The upside of training properly is huge, don’t go through the motions, think about what you do and how greatly it will only enhance your life in all ways.
