Seeing it through and keeping our philosophy intact should always be seen as one of our strengths.

Seeing it through means we are developing stronger minds, not wilting under pressure to take the easy way out or quit, we become stronger every time we beat that feeling to take the easy way out.

We do have a remarkable amount of individuals who are changing quickly. The foundation of how they do it is very strong too.

Eating real food is sustainable, and getting educated how to eat properly and why we do it is vital. This means your results are always going to last, and you will develop an ever-increasing amount of energy.

Your training is sustainable too. You are encouraged to get stronger, to recover quicker in between each exercise, you are encouraged to become a better runner, cyclist, weight trainer, and become an “athlete” in all true meanings of the word.

You shouldn’t accept the fact that you may have bad balance, through our training you have every opportunity to get much better balance, to strengthen your core and become ready for anything that life has to throw at you.

Real fitness doesn’t mean relying on machines.

Real fitness means learning much more natural movements, getting your body to move in the way it was supposed to, become much more flexible and really sharpening up your reaction times.

Keep training the right way, don’t fall for yet another faddy diet, and really see this through because you know if you give it enough time, it’s going to work big time for you!!!

Everyone wants to practice things they are good at, what they excel in and its human nature to look at your strengths.

Our training should make us think what we are struggling on, what our weaknesses are, what we need to really improve. What our injuries, our past injuries or breakages when it comes to joints and bones? All these things need addresses before old age comes, because it gets even harder then but still great advancements can be done even then!

This is not a negative, its only going to improve what we like doing in the first place.

If we like to play rugby or football to the best of our ability for example, then working on our weaker areas will only enhance our performance.

Just being stronger with weights or just being better on the treadmill won’t guarantee a better sporting performance, it will help A LOT, but all the stuff we do in our training will give you all the little “add ons” that will make you the difference between okay at a sport, to excelling at it.

The top athletes are the ones who do the little things to improve, this what separates a great athlete from an average one.

You have every opportunity to use the latest science of training to take you wherever you want to be.

The only thing stopping you would be falling for the trap of doing the same old thing all the time. If you do the same old thing, you’re going get the same old results.

We are looking to get the very best out of you, so start searching where you can get even more from your training, more out of your nutrition, and how you can get an even more positive state of mind to see you through the ups and downs of getting into top shape!

Working as a team is always better when it comes to your family’s eating habits.

I see both sides of the fence, I train a lot of teenagers and I train a lot of parents, and they can both blame each other for their eating habits.

Your parents buy the food, they make the food and they actually put the plate in front of the kids in most cases. So the parents decide everything?

According to latest statistics this is not true, more and more teenagers are heavily influencing the family shopping, whether in the supermarket or through online shopping for groceries.

Over 50% of teenage girls contribute heavily to the eating choices, and a third of boys will say loud and clear what the foods should be in the household.

It doesn’t stop in the supermarket, most parents when surveyed said the kids were most influential when it comes to choices for fast food, snacks when they are out and restaurant choices.

So when teenagers say they have no control of what their parents give them, research says that if they keep telling their parents that they really want, then well made tasty healthy food with a bit of imagination should become a reality, as the parent is likely to eventually cooperate for the benefit of everyone in the family.

So if you are a teenager who is looking to get fitter and healthy, you had better keep on to your parents. The parent will be confused because for years you may have told them that you want Mcdonalds or pizza, or fish and chips and they got used to providing those foods that made you happy.

So changing your choices takes a while for the whole family to sink in.

If you are the parent, then usually you have got used to those “little treats” too, as you usually will get stuck in yourself! So change for you may be hard too!!

This is why when the teenager suddenly discovers that they really would like to be fit, healthy and strong, the parent needs to be completely onboard and live a healthy lifestyle themselves.

Expecting your child to be eating good nutritious food, while you’re stuffing yourself big time on sugary and fatty foods sets a terrible example, and will lead to a much big struggle in your child being successful.

Work as a team and the whole thing is much more likely to work!

Monday, 28th October

Monday is a recurring theme in terms of the need to get off to a good start in your week, especially on here when we always like to discover what it takes to be in your best shape.

The need for a big workout is obvious.

What we don’t always talk about are those snacks or meals that can give you a bundle of energy that will power you through a workout.

That time of day when you may need it the most is around the 4 o’clock time when you may have just finished work, you are rushing around everywhere, and the last thing you need is going into your workout with zero carbs inside you.

For instance, don’t worry about eating a second bowl of porridge at this time too, even if you have had one for breakfast earlier in the day.

Porridge is the ultimate slow release energy provider, giving you real energy just when you need it.

If you don’t get enough energy in at this time, not only will you have a poor workout, but you are very likely to overeat in your evening meal, because just think of the time you have left it without a meal. Lunch at say 1pm, then an evening meal at 730pm is far too much of a gap!

4PM has become a crucial time for many people I have found in your 7 day eating diaries, so start filling in the gaps and you will perform far better, and lose more body fat in the meantime!

Friday, 20th September

So we went through some ideas on strength work yesterday, and the importance of charting out your programme to get stronger.

Just as importance is your speed and agility work. While those words may give the image of youngsters jumping around full speed and going flat out, the facts are that I do speed and agility work with people of ALL ages.

Anyone can do speed work on ladders, and anyone can develop fast feet, anyone!!

Anyone can run around cones in different directions.

Anyone can run in and out of hurdles, you do not have to jump each time. There are non-threatening things you can do to keep your joints safe.

Anyone can run with parachutes.

Anyone can do our bungee sprints, slow or fast.

Anyone can use a sledge hammer safely when taught properly.

Most people can use our “prowler”, our famous addition to our training the last few months! Again, proper tuition is vital on this piece of equipment.

When you combine all of these things, you are destined to get faster, stronger and much more agile, which would be a major asset in anyone’s life!

If you learn to do these things properly from the start, you are likely to thrive in our environment due to the exposure you will be having constantly to professional training!
