Once we realised the sun did come up again after President Trump’s win, we start to realise that relying on an election result, doesn’t change a whole lot in our immediate lives. Never rely on one person or organisation to tell you what’s possible and what’s not. History backs us up on this time after time.

No government goes out of their way to help us, and we realise the candidates have big flaws just like the rest of us.

The old saying that 90% of what we worry about never happens, and the other 10% we can’t do nothing about anyway, has never been more true.

The UK general election, Brexit, US election, sports protests on human rights in the states (whatever your views) has shown that the public has been in protest mode for some time, and most are not willing to accept what the establishment has dished out for the last 40 years or more.

I hear more and more of people who aren’t willing to accept frozen food in chain restaurants, going to a gym and nobody ever helping you, management in the workplace not appreciating your efforts and opinion, there is strong evidence on more people in Wales launching their own business, some of you launched your own charity out of nothing, helped thousands and counting, because the system wouldn’t help you (Active for Autism-Tom Shaw) etc.

When my father started our gym in 1957, everyone thought he was mad, some doctors for years even claimed weight training was dangerous. Making your own path where nobody has gone before is risky and tests your self-belief to the limit, many will even laugh at you, but your have to follow your heart and passion, and see it through knowing deep down you are doing it for the right reasons, and you are aiming to creating an overwhelmingly positive impact in people’s lives.

Things are changing fast and i commend many of you on your independence of thought and self-belief that you can succeed and never accept the status quo any more. Sometimes, being a non-conformist is amazing because it creates breakthrough change that nobody thought possible apart from YOU.

When you are feeling rebellion, taking control of your health will transform you to a whole new level, help you attain amazing life long dreams in your life, and develop the sustainable energy and drive to create a new history for yourself.

What makes a far impact in our lives is our opportunity to change our own lives for the better, no government can take that away. If you aren’t feeling well physically, and struggling mentally as a result, then starting cautiously on a health and fitness programme will become one of your greatest achievements.

Exercise is like a journey that has ups and downs but the overall destination is incredible and strong foundations will be built, and your wonderful feeling of wellbeing along the way will positively impact all of those around you that are most important.

Probably the greatest sporting team on the planet, the All Blacks rugby team put culture above everything else. This is shared by the coaches, the kit men, the players and everyone involved with them. Nobody is bigger than the team, and everyone contributes in any way possible.

Four of the greatest All Blacks ever, played against Wales in 2010 in “the house of pain” in Carisbrook when New Zealand won comfortably 42-7.
Straight after the game and a shower, these players when into the changing room and starting picking up a brush and swept up all the mud and rubbish associated with a rugby changing room. Nobody batted an eyelid as this is the way it is.

This showed that the All Blacks culture was all-inclusive, nobody was above even menial tasks, and the message was loud and clear that the All Blacks look after themselves, and that they all support each other no matter what.

A team full of character they say, beats a team with a few individuals with a lot of talent, when it becomes to harnessing the power of a team and raising your culture to the very highest levels.

To show up on time and consistently for training takes character.

To carry on training, eating right and resting enough takes character when the easiest thing to do is to go off track or simply quit.

Character is required to make a transformation in the way you look, feel and and perform.

Character at our gym is vital. Supporting others is expected, treating everyone the same is expected, and taking responsibility for all your actions must be second nature. The standard must remain very high or everyone suffers. Once it becomes clear only the highest of standards are accepted, then it becomes second nature to be your best and try your best at all times.

Individually your character shows your mental strength, how you bounce back from adversity and how you overcome the many challenges that comes your way on a regular basis.

Training hard, constantly improving, eating right, sleeping enough, staying positive throughout, takes a lot of character when your efforts are pulled in many different directions and many people will try to put you off your path to greatness.

Above all, its your character-sticking to your highest standards no matter what, being honest with yourself, being and staying humble, and fighting through the endless inevitable challenges that come along most days, will determine how great your own individual culture becomes.

Raising your standards and going all the way is a must when you start our programme. The habits we recommend will literally transform your life in a very positive way.

If we don’t take charge of our lives, sometimes our lives take charge of us in a negative way, so we must make the most of our opportunities while we have them right now.

If we don’t take action soon then time drifts away from us, then we leave it another week, another month, another year, and before we know it, that time is gone and our great opportunities gone with it.

Actions always have consequences. Do good things for people and our bodies, and good things are likely to happen for you in all ways.

Personal accountability is vital. Keep the promises you made to yourself. Most of us forget this, not keeping to what we promised. We have all the information to us every day, yet many of us try a roundabout way of doing this.

It’s easy to think we can out-train a bad diet, many of us have tried to cheat the system of health at one time or another. When we buckle down to the fact that healthy food consumed regularly and pretty much most of the time actually works, then our whole life changes.

We all have weaknesses, and this is why we discuss them every day on here. It’s only by discussing what we do wrong, that we get the opportunity to do things the right way.

Your hopes, dreams and desires rely totally on you being healthy, energetic and positive, and practising the daily rituals to achieve this are absolutely vital.

Leave yourself no other option but doing your best every day, moving closer to your ultimate goals every day, and staying on a positive path no matter what life throws at you and tries to throw you off course.

Realise it’s all within you, all of you have to do is dig deep every day and keep making it happen!

You will always miss all the shots you NEVER take is an old saying. Taking your “shot” every day is compulsory, seizing every opportunity makes great sense or at least you should make it compulsory in your life.

If you don’t have a go, then how are you going to succeed? How many times have you been in a group chat, an office, a workplace of any kind and all of you discussing what would have happened if you did this or that?

Don’t become a “coulda, woulda, shoulda” type of person, reflecting on past regrets and cursing the “perfect” set of circumstances never came to you so you could succeed.

Talking about it, and never getting around to taking action is something you need to get out of. Isn’t getting fit and healthy on most people’s to do lists but never gets done?

Commitment to taking action every day will bring you big and unexpected rewards.

Businesses never get anywhere if they JUST TALK about “possible” oil wells, they actually achieve things when they DRILL for oil. It may not mean a perfect hit first time, but if they keep trying knowing they are in the right area, chances are that good things will happen as long as they keep on going.

It’s the actual drilling that really dictates how far you have got, the results you have obtained and where you are.

You can do survey after survey, consultations on this on that, have endless meetings and put off yet more meetings into the future, it’s a way of life for many organisations/businesses etc. Most agree that this way of working never usually gets things done and destroys or dilutes great ideas and ambition.

Results matter-all of this always come from daily action, having a go even though you may not be 100% successful all of the time, eventually you will get it right.

Ready, fire, aim-in that order makes perfect sense.

Tuesday, 26th July

None of us will get fit at exactly the same rate, some will go slower, some faster depending on how much work they put into it, but EVERYONE is capable of getting fitter and healthier than they have ever done before.

If you show up and exercise a minimum of three times a week, then good things will happen for you, because you are exposing your body to the right amount of stimulus to improve.

If you aim long term to eat well 80% of the time, still enjoying occasional treats which is realistic, then your body will look after you and high energy levels will return to your life.

The main reason i find that individuals improve quicker than others is consistency of doing the right things. I find that it often doesn’t matter how physically gifted some people are, it’s the person that’s willing to work the hardest over a long period of time will always be the highest achiever.

The biggest enhancer of progress that can happen for you is realising that mindset is the secret link, your “x factor”, your most powerful weapon in all of this coming together.

Staying on course is often dictated by how focused you are and your willingness to do the simple things right time after time. After your initial “honeymoon” period of starting training, you will soon realise that staying on your programme brings some challenges, and the sooner you bring an achievable structure to your lifestyle the better.

Just like booking an appointment with the doctor or dentist, make time for your workouts three times a week. Find a time that nothing can get in the way of. Once you get used to training, you will be more productive in all areas of your life, for the time you invest in every training session will be rewarded many times over.

When you do your food shopping, make sure most of it is healthy, as everything you bring into your house will get eaten, bring multipack crisps or chocolate bars in and they WILL get eaten. Nothing wrong with treats here and there but the foundation of what you eat needs to be good. You can’t out-train a bad diet.

For your mind, reading positive books or media everyday helps a lot. The biggest thing of all is to surround yourself with positive people and influences. Avoid those who drag you down and put you off trying to better yourself. Trust opinions of those who are experienced and have a track record in what you are interested in-A much quicker way of seeking advice.

Stay consistent, stay positive and try your best to stay on the path you set yourself when you first dreamt up what you really want out of your health and fitness programme.
