Thursday, 20th December

Nothing will make you exercise today, tomorrow, next week, and most days unless you have a strong enough reason to do it-Straight from the heart.

Lots of us feel solace when it comes to exercise, we feel more comfortable again, we feel stronger mentally, and use it as a way of crushing our daly pressures and stress.

The by product of course is looking better but everything must start from the heart, because that will keep you going in darker times and when you feel like giving up at the first hurdle.

In your head, you can pretend that you don’t need to exercise but deep down in your heart you know that is the big lie you keep telling yourself.

In your head sometimes we pretend we get too old to do things, reflecting on how things “used to be” and how good they were in the past, but we cannot do them now.

In our hearts though, we know that if we get our behinds off the settee every day, there is a strong chance that better, more exciting times lie ahead of us again, all we need is to keep showing up.

It’s sad to think that many think our best days are behind us, when so many people prove us wrong on a daily basis.

As we get older we get wiser. History should show us that in the past we felt amazing at times. If you analyse our habits at those times though, it shows clearly we gave more time to exercise, gave more time to having fun and gave more time to dreaming of endless possibility and trying new things.

After speaking to so many people older than me at the gym on a daily basis, and how they are still leaving their comfort zone every day, and telling me how incredible life is for them right now, I’m more convinced than ever to encourage every single person with us not to just relive their past levels of happiness, but to live brand new stories of joy, happiness and fulfilment worth telling even more stories about in the future.

All starts with your health and MUST come from your heart.

Monday, December 17th

It’s a fact that when you think of certain people in the gym who are always ultra-positive in the gym, you want to be around them more, to soak up the good vibes. We are very fortunate to have many of these, and it becomes infectious.

These people only offer solutions to problems, and offer to help you out anytime. What would it take you to become the most positive person you know? We all need work on this and it’s something for all of us to think about.

First proper week of the new programme starts tomorrow. Are you going to try coasting it or are you going to build on everything you have done this year, and finish the year on top of the world and feeling amazing full of pride?

It’s a choice and YOU are control of it.

You have been given these gifts that you are in good physical shape and can show up to our gym regularly, so even more is expected of you. Don’t settle for where you are, aim higher and reach for more within yourself.

Everything exciting happens when you leave your comfort zone. We all like doing the same thing because it doesn’t take much thought.

The times we have to make what we do better scares us sometimes, but ultimately takes us to a new level of fulfilment, pride  and satisfaction deep within us.

These hard choices give us an EASY life.

If you make easy choices, and don’t get anything done or have given up on yourself, then prepare for a HARD life.

The more you invest in your health and anything else in life, you get it back in spades.

Last week before Christmas, what’s your choices looking like?

Sunday, 16th December

I have trained a lot of people with a lot money, lots with no money whatsoever, some in terrible health, some in good health, some with huge egos, some very humble.

When this is all stripped away though, all of them when faced with adversity and their health failing, told me they would give anything and everything just to have their health back so they can do even just “normal” things in life again.

Money, ego, possessions, don’t matter a thing when your health is gone and not coming back.

As you get older, you realise that the simple things matter. Good health, family, close friends and the positive impact you can on people around you.

That’s how I wake up every morning ,what can I do today to help as many individuals as I can, thats my burning question immediately when I wake up every day.

People talk about Christmas presents but how many people do you know who would just give anything just to feel good again? Just to be healthy again? Just to breathe normally again? Not to be back and fore to hospital all the time? Just to be out of extreme pain?

Unless this real gift of health is with you, then all the things in life you take for granted are impossible. All the excitement you deep down crave is impossible. The adventures in life you desire are impossible.

I know some of you have deep stories of sadness and are recovering though your exercise and eating well. Many of you have turned impossible situations into great joy and great victories, and you have inspired so many people with your incredible journey.

Christmas is a time of joy for many, but for some of you this is not the case.

We wanted you to know that we support you on your journey of recovery, support you through your hardship and with grit, determination, consistency and effort, we know deep down that you are the next great inspirational story waiting to happen.

All you have to do is keep taking action, the fog will gradually clear and great things will eventually come back into your life again.

Monday, December 2nd

My Sunday running with the family up the mountain DOES NOT stop because it’s dark and wet.

It’s our routines that make us what we are.

Giving up this time of year means you give up on your health. You say to yourself that wheezing is just fine with you, because stopping training and eating rubbish will surely invite more difficult breathing in this weather. That can’t be fun.

Giving up right now means you give up on other things in life, because you haven’t got the energy to get up early and go after your ambitions. Simple as that. Those plans “will just have to wait” AGAIN.

We have large numbers at the gym still hitting it hard right now, and we deeply praise them and sincerely appreciate their efforts.

You GET IT.

You get what the connection is between great health, personal achievement and happiness.

Many people who struggle with their health want to turn back the clock when they were 18, and how good they felt. They rue the day they started on blood pressure tablets for example because their didn’t look after themselves enough over a number of years.

Yet they are still not willing to change their lifestyle, so eating rubbish and drinking a few times a week is the “connection” they make with youth, even if it’s half killing them now.

Your habits MAKE YOU or BREAK YOU. We try to stay a very strong team, picking each other up along the way.

As you get older, great health matters far more than spending too much on cosmetic material things that don’t matter, especially this time of year.

Your daily habits will make you rich in health if you practice a few simple things daily, we all have the same choices, some take them, some ignore them but they all have a cost now and in the future.

Look after yourself.
