Thursday, 7th March

A lady told me today that her hopes for the future was to breathe every day. A fairly simple goal, you may laugh, but to many of you, as you get older, it becomes a real issue if you have suffered ill health or battling back from something right now.

I have trained many people who have lost a significant other, and it’s heartbreaking. Then they suffer the inevitable loneliness and we do our very best to support everyone as much as possible at the gym. Our family at the gym is always highly welcoming, we take deep pride in this.

With all the laughter and joking we do every day, I see this side every day, and sometimes most hours every single day.

Picking up people and raising them up is part of what we do. Trust the process of exercise, because the chemicals released in your brain if you do it regular are literally changing you by the day.

Slow to start maybe, but again trust the process and you will become a much more positive person, soon to have a different outlook in life.

This is why our culture is so important. Walking into the gym is highly worrying for a beginner and even weeks after that. We realised the difficulty some of you have getting your kit on each day, getting your trainers on, getting into the car and driving to us.

We also know that MANY of you have done ALL of that and failed to get out of the car in the car park, because you just couldn’t do it. This is natural, and many of you have told me privately about this many times. All we can do is support you because you know once you get into the gym, your mind changes and you feel incredible once you leave.

Appreciate every day that you CAN breathe and breathe well at the gym and on your walks. Appreciate that you CAN exercise and you’re not stuck in some hospital bed or somewhere even worse that you can never come back from.

See everything as an opportunity, don’t waste and throw away even one day stuck on the settee all day, love your ability to exercise, and create a different and energetic future for yourself.

Remember when you wake up tomorrow how lucky you are to be breathing and go from there.

Wednesday, 6th March

I deeply respect all of you who are willing to grind.

You have discovered nothing comes easy.

Your progress could be described as like the stock market.

Nothing goes up in a straight line. With every positive step forward you will experience a negative doubt come into your mind. There WILL be zig zags along your journey, more highs than lows and I can’t wait to see how all of your exciting stories develop.

With every notable achievement you will experience some people trying to chop you down, we won’t be that person, we want to keep backing you when times get tough and times when you doubt yourself.

The more you rise from obscurity, often the higher the doubt, and are you going to keep on grinding or not? I want you to show your heart and soul, along with your aggression and fire because you’re going to need it.

Social media has become a fertile ground for “superstars” and the “new me” like stories. Everyone wants overnight success, but the truth it doesn’t exist and never has.

I see people all the time getting the courage to launch their new careers. a new business, a new health and fitness journey, a new life in many cases, and to be honest, I get excited every time I hear a new story because I was there once myself, when hardly anyone believed in me too.

I get even more excited though when that person just like YOU right now is taking a big risky plunge in life. It’s risky to trust a gym to help you when you may have had numerous false dawns before.

We consider a privilege to have you at the gym every day, it’s a wonderful opportunity for us to drill into your mind that you actually are full of ability and confidence deep down, and it’s up to us to get it out, and help you do incredible things.

Please accept that fact though that you need to grind, you need to show up when it’s freezing and wet, you need to show up when you’ve had a terrible day at work, and accept good things in life DO NOT come easy, and your mind will be tested along the way.

Your body will never hold you back, but your mind often will. This is why your workouts can conquer your inner deep down doubts that maybe are holding you back right now.

Learn it’s all about you and the effort you’re prepared to give for the rest of your life. What you put in, you will get out-a simple formula.

It’s a lot of work but the rewards can and will be incredible and life-changing.

Your call.

Monday, 4th March

I’m ALL in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I’m all in when you’re not looking too, and YOU must learn to be too.

I face a constant battle of the mind JUST like YOU when it comes to daily decisions.

Should I skip breakfast, eat rubbish or eat a good one that’s going to set me up for the rest of the day?

Should I let a negative/nasty comment upset my day, or get into battle mode and destroy any negativity?

Should I keep throwing myself into trying to inspire people and getting them to believe they can do incredible things, or “slack off” and “coast?

Your decisions are similar, and you know by now the moment you do slack off or think you can coast, your impact is going to diluted, your efforts are going to be way less effective and your life is not going to be anywhere near as fulfilling, exciting and rewarding.

This is why your routines are vital. I like sprinting all week and having two days off the weekend. This allows me adequate rest and allows me to hit Monday all fired up and desperate to make a huge positive impact.

This is why monday to friday we should all be ALL in and excited incredibly about the opportunities that we have RIGHT NOW.

4 days left, lets get stuck in and give it EVERYTHING.
