Workout 1 starting 28th April
Wednesday, 24th April
I love this story so much that I must bring it out from time to time.
It’s a story about fishing for crabs, and how it gives us all a LIFE LESSON.
The boat catches the crabs and gets it onto the boat.
You have lots of crabs in the bucket and the fisherman never has to put a lid on the bucket either, never worried that the crabs will crawl out and save themselves.
How can this be true?
Once a crab tried to make a run for it by climbing out of the bucket, the other crabs pull it down, they will do anything to pull it back down.
If the crab continues to try to get out, the other crabs will literally tear one of their legs off.
If the crab still persists, they will kill the crab.
It’s a great nature story and a lesson for us in life.
When we try to do something that better ourselves, not all are friends, family and work colleagues are happy. Some will be seriously unhappy because you are showing them up, because they haven’t got the get up and go that you have to attempt great things.
When we keep striving for that better life, often taking action to do amazing things that will change our lives, the more resistance will come sometimes from those around you every day. Learn to expect it.
Are you the crab trying to get out of the bucket constantly striving to do incredible things? Or are you one of the jealous crabs looking to tear down anyone who tries to better themselves?
Dream big, leave the negative crabs behind and see how life changes for you for good.

Most of you had a long break over Easter, at least Friday morning until Tuesday, some even longer.
Whist it’s great to have a break, there are sometimes some unintended consequences. If you normally consistently with your exercise and you have a few days off, then a few things usually happen I have observed over the years.
Your back feels much weaker, and starts to play up. More time sitting around DOES NOT work, the more you do it you can be sure more pain WILL come.
Your energy goes down. The less you do, the less you WANT to do. It’s a vicious circle, when you have less energy, you will look at the world different. Everything becomes “too much hassle” and the idea of not starting back becomes an option sneaking into your brain.
Your biggest muscle that is deepest under threat is YOUR MIND. Your body hasn’t been going so your mind hits some fog. The clarity that you get during your workout has disappeared. Your mind will make you or break you.
Give your mind plenty of positive food, decide that TODAY is the time to get stuck back into it, the best positive food is always your workout.
Shifting all that iron/dumbbells will make you or break you, and it has a 100% per cent success record for anyone who shows up 3 times a week for months, it’s a tried and tested unbelievable strategy that not only keeps your body strong, but fires up your mind full of possibility again.
Don’t let the break play tricks with your mind, remember you are always only ONE workout from feeling so much better.

MOST of you know me from our gym, but not so many of you know me when I was ONLY private training.
The scary part of that was knowing I had to make money to survive, and when you have ZERO clients, it’s very scary indeed. I now I could make a big impact, so any opportunity that came long HAD to be acted on immediately.
What got me over the hump was THIS moment. I had clients in Llanelli, but not enough to give up my other job and make it a full time career. I was training people every night in llanelli, and every weekend, but I felt it wants enough to give up a “job for life””.
I had started training ONE person in Langland bay, and people wondered why I was doing that given the distance travelled. I said I had to keep following my career and I would take its far as I could. Every time I left mumbles, I imagined doing 40 sessions over there. That may have seemed impossible at the time, but the dream was big and I had a ton of ambition and energy to eventually make it happen.
Then a month later, I had met two people who would change the course of my career.
I was working one job 715am to 330pm whilst doing sessions in lunch time in llanelli EVERY day. Then I would work 340pm to 8pm every NIGHT in llanelli. This was a colossal schedule but I knew I could do more.
So one Monday night, I left llanelli at 755pm and arrived somehow in Langland at 830pm. I did back to back sessions which lasted until 1015pm. I arrived home at 11pm, then had to work out a diet.
I had two choices, either I could do it THAT night, and deliver it by 615am and still make it to work, or I could post it and it arrived a couple of days ago.
First impressions last I decided. Those two clients ended up doing amazingly well and recommended me all over Langland, the rest is history and helped build me a very strong business that would last many, many years until I made the decision to step out of comfort zone again, CUT BACK and get the gym going again in a big way to reach a much wider reach of the population.
From those early days, I wanted to set my stall out as a business that wanted to do things the BEST way possible. Time is of the essence and that urgency from me eventually paid off, and led to many clients from the early impression I made that day and from then on.
Whoever joins the gym now MUST have an incredible experience, but more importantly, that great experience MUST carry one. This is an absolutely key to our gym.
We all have moments of urgency in our lives when we MUST make things happen. See you tomorrow and be ready for a huge week of opportunity and possibility.
