Here’s why the “quiet, unassuming people” often achieve great things.
Many of you come into our gym nervous, quiet and you don’t really know if it will work for you, don’t know that you will like it or don’t know if you will keep it up?
Many people talk a good game, but I find those who are unassuming, sometimes even put themselves down to start with due to lack of confidence, are the ones who often achieve great things.
We try to be passionate about equal opportunities. EVERY SINGLE PERSON deserves a chance, no favouritism.
The key is to give that person confidence, the awareness that they are achieving along the way and with sustained effort, that truly great things are possible. Then the light bulb moment goes off in their brain, and they are realise they are as good as anyone else, this momentum can become unstoppable.
I have seen the most shy individuals join our gym, and the most satisfying moment is when they go on to achieve magnificent things they may not have thought possible before. That new self-belief can make the difference from “going for it” or leaving yet another life-opportunity pass you by.
Many of you perhaps were left out of things in school, perhaps you didn’t like school sports, school plays, nothing was really “for you”. With exercise, what you put into it is what you get out of it, so you start to realise that hard work can really make you thrive if you stay consistent, and stay focused on what you are good at.
Working in a non-favouritism environment allows you to get your true self out, and with that your true talent comes out too.
It’s our duty to help bring the unique talent out in everyone, and it’s your duty to not deny the world your unique gifts that can help so many people.
Friday, 20th October
We all “want” things, but we have to translate the “want” part to “DO”.
Take out all that time you will talk about it, and get actually into the process of taking action, and do it daily until it becomes a habit.
If you aren’t showing up to train, then you’re coming not an inch closer to what you really want in life, in fact you are slowly edging away and with it becoming more frustrated why great things aren’t happening for you.
Don’t run away, run to exactly where you want to be, NEED to be and DO exactly what you should be doing to create the fantastic result you really want.
That mood you where you first started or thought about exercising, when you are ambitions, optimistic and enthusiastic needs to be re-created, but you won’t get that by sitting on your behind on the settee.
Moods only change when you get moving, get that great feelings going again by actually completing a session, THEN at that exact stage make your decision on where you want to be and realise you can actually change your life for the better.
Never make your decision on a dreary cold, dark and eventually wet late october afternoon looking miserably through the window.
Make ALL your important decisions in the middle or at the end of a great workout, when you are more positive and all the right feelings are going through your body. You will aim higher and set yourself more exciting and more ambitious targets than you ever thought possible.

Anxiety and insecurities attack our lives on a daily basis.
When we don’t look after ourselves, the insecurities multiply and we start to believe the negatives that appear and treat them as fact. Our version of how we see the world starts to change for the worse, and our self-doubt becomes a real problem.
Insecurities are allowed to happen when we don’t do the things that are proven to help us. Taking more care of ourselves is vital and the way out of this nightmare.
If we don’t exercise regularly, stress only builds up, and can seriously affect our moods. Anyone who has ever exercised properly will tell you that they feel a huge amount better when they get more active, and their mood changes very much for the better,
If we don’t eat right, we have little energy and our appetite to get things done in life struggles. We also don’t feel as well when we put on weight, our self-esteem drops and our confidence suffers so we stop trying to do things that will help us. The vicious cycle continues.
If we don’t spend as much time with our kids as we’d like, because we work too much, too long hours, then the stress only multiplies. Taking back control in exchange for more family time will only make you happier. If our health is on top form, then we can do far more with the time we spend at work, and create extra time with the people who really matter.
If we don’t spend time in nature, we don’t feel the freedom we once had as kids, we don’t get the time to clear our minds, and the tension in our in our lives only continues to build.
Taking care of yourself is the only way to smash insecurities out of your life. See the warning lights and start doing something healthy today to start switching them off, then you will hit your anxiety where it hurts.
Take back control of your life by practicing healthier habits every day, fight back by smashing those things that are robbing you of the great individual you can really become.
