Tues 28th April

Today’s day two of the programme makes us realise one thing, we must continually adapt to the ever increasing and variety of our workouts, physically and mentally.

When we attempt a movement we aren’t familiar with, part of our brain can shut off and makes us not want to even attempt it, but part of us knows we should have a go.

It’s the “we need to have a go anyway even if we fail” part we need to never give up on, because chances are we will be able to complete it, even if we aren’t very good at it to start.

This is what the whole month is about, we get time to get used to it, and with that time we get plenty of chances to get good at it, and by the end of the month with enough practice, we are likely to become very good at it and we wonder why we worried about it in the first place.

It’s human nature to avoid hard things, but if we do it can become a habit and we are likely to give up on everything hard in our lives.

If we embrace the struggle of doing hard things, then our resilience is built and knuckling down soon becomes “the way we do things” and nothing will beat us.
