If someone tells you that exercise isn’t worth it, and you have undeniable PROOF of the great things you are doing and have done through training, then question WHY they are giving you such terrible advice because they certainly haven’t got your best interest at heart.
Exercise science is proven beyond all reasonable doubt, both for your body AND mind, but you will always get some people saying it’s not much good for you and will be often trying to put you off.
Almost in every case, people will tell you this because you are showing them up, they haven’t got the guts to stick at it themselves, they haven’t got the courage to give the big efforts you constantly do, and it’s easier to “shout from the sidelines” because they haven’t got the get up and go to be on the “field of playing being in the game” like you do every day.
My father started the gym in 1957 and even some doctors said even then “don’t go to the gym, it will give you high blood pressure and a bad heart”, this would be laughed at these days when we know now that people go to the gym to ONLY help high blood pressure and only strengthen their heart, along with doing everything else to do their bodies and minds a lot of good.
If you are doing well with exercise and eating good food and only feeling amazing, then I urge you to stick at it, to show up regular and only enhance your quality of life and the way you feel.
Whilst most people should encourage you, be thrilled with your progress and only applaud you on your positive changes you’ve made in your life, accept you will always have a few who won’t always be happy with you doing well, and always remember it’s not you, it’s really them and their own insecurities.
I’ve done this for a very long time, and the improvements individuals make not only in health but the big improvements in self-esteem, self-confidence and simply being happier in life have always been staggering for me.
Stick to it, keep making positive changes in your life, and ignore the doubters, the naysayers and the ones so not happy with their own lives than they only want you to fail to justify their own lack of effort and ambition
Don’t lose the fire in your belly to do great things because you have negative people around you who don’t really want you to make anything of yourself-keep being the inspiration to everyone around you and do your best to stay clear of all the toxic influences in your life who are selfish enough NOT to want the best for you.
