Sunday, 31st July

The next 3 weeks will deliver to you as long as you don’t compromise on your effort, we definitely won’t compromise on the effort we give you that’s for sure.

It helps to tell those closest to you that you’re in a serious programme, and this can demand a lot of effort, but the rewards are great. In every relationship, family, organisation, someone needs to put their hand up, stand up and be ready to lead and this must be you reading this now.

We don’t have meetings in the gym, we hate showing people around because it takes time away from coaching, we are 100% concentrating on delivering your sessions because we know they will be extremely powerful.

The better results you get, the better a business we have full stop, so you can see we are highly motivated to get EVERYONE a massive result not one time, but EVERY time.

So you becoming a leader is essential. You becoming that person who puts their hand up straight away and VOLUNTEERING to take action on behalf of yourself and your family is vital. Do it a couple of times and it soon becomes a habit.

Don’t sit on your hands waiting for life to come to you, it won’t. You have to create the situation yourself, you have to take opportunities when they come, because they may not come again.

This next week, starting tomorrow is the IDEAL time for you to realise that you are indeed A LEADER WHO IS NOT WILLING TO COMPROMISE in your pursuit to create great things, for yourself and those closest to you.

Saturday, 29th July

We all age but the problem begins when out attitude and outlook ages quickly too.

Around 10-20 years ago, the accepted pattern was be active in school, play some sport sometimes, maybe play sport after leaving for a few years if you are lucky, then retire and be classed as a “former player”.

Your attitude to exercise would be on wonderment in your teen years especially, some would be bogged down with injuries towards the end of your sports career, then when you were a “former player”, you were reduced to rose-tinted spectacles on “how things used to be” when you were active and playing.

So from your 30’s at best, you would face a lifetime of aches and pains, not really believing you could get previous levels of fitness back ever. Weight would come on, maybe arthritis in some cases, and many would be resigned to wishing back their mobility and freshness of youth.

Today is see a different reality, driven by those who never did ANY sport in school but are engaged by new realities of exercise and how it can transform your life.

Sharon Griffiths, and Lesley Daniel, a 40 and 50 something came to us (never having done much exercise), just wondering if they could somehow become more active because they were sick and tired of feeling the aches of pains that getting older brings.

Sharon was the one her friends thought wouldn’t last more than a week, yet she hasn’t missed a session in over 2 years. Totally physically and mentally transformed, Sharon is becoming an accomplished runner too, continually bringing her greatness within out so all can see.

Lesley is clearly one our fittest ladies, achieving too a great transformation, never misses a session and inspires all the 20 somethings to bring the greatness within them out. A leader who shows anything is possible.

Both these ladies realised the best was already within them, all they had to do is approach it positively and age suddenly became NO PROBLEM. In fact, they both are still advancing rapidly and i would put them against anyone in fitness terms anywhere!

The old model of accepting your past is behind you is well and truly DEAD.

Friday, 28th July

I walk the dogs every day. Some days i struggle to get out there again after one of the harder mornings in the gym, but once i get out there i enjoy it and feel better.

This week is holiday times so Nicola and the kids wanted to take the dogs out. First of all, i was grateful but a funny thing happened by wednesday.

My body didn’t feel the same, my energy levels were a little bit down, and something was definitely missing.

This is a great example of when you sometimes CUT DOWN on exercise and staying active, you will often feel worse for it despite what most people think.

Most people have more active periods in their lives, and some times when they aren’t so mobile, unfortunately health often suffers when we aren’t so active.

Here’s the danger, once you accept the fact that being less active is actually “easier” and you “deserve a rest”, then everything in life starts to feel less good and your energy wanes.

You can justify the rest part all you want on top of a day’s work, but last time i checked most people these days weren’t working 14 hours a day down the coal mine.

Due to automation, most people have jobs when they are seated, and any real physical intensity has been removed from most jobs by machines.

It’s vital we keep our daily activities up and not just for health reasons. That time when we walk the dogs, the time when we have alone is vital time so we can plan or reflect on our days and brings clarity of thought often when we most need it.

Being less active is another sign we are withdrawing and “getting out of the game”. Part of our brain shuts off too when this happens, so do everything to STAY in the game, not only great for your health but your mental health too.
