Sunday, June 4th

Half time is an important time of any match and we are just about at that time in the year, but the SCORE and goal before half time can be crucial and literally changes the game.

How has your year been so far? A good one, a terrible one, could have been better, had significant chances in your life-there’s a lot to take in when we arrive in June, and set ourselves up to make the second half even better/a lot better than the first.

When your mind is all over the place, we take the short term fixes, the. stuff that gives us instant gratification, be it too much sugar every day, too much time not working out at all, too much hanging out with the wrong crowd and just too much of the wrong food and drink many people use as an “emotional crutch” in stressful times.

The time though comes when we have to start making better choices.

You have endless opportunities at the gym, early morning beach workouts in the fresh air, workouts at the back of the gym in the fresh air changing daily, you can do more specialised work inside and reach brand new levels, you can do a new online workout every single day, there’s literally no excuse, and just grinding our way through the difficult times by seeking solace in our gym workouts is exactly the most peaceful and beneficial place we can find, for both body and soul.

It’s not quite half time yet for the year, you are still in the game and making it a huge June by putting some time aside for yourself will be a game-changer, and give you much needed momentum going into the second half of the year JUST WHEN YOU NEED IT.

You can’t win the game though if you are sitting on the sidelines-time to play, give it your very best and go for it

lost your mojo?

“Lost your mojo”? A POWERFUL way to get it back!!!

Get yourself a photo of a family member/role model who inspired you as I know many of you had great upbringings, some of you have had tough upbringings, whoever that person who inspired you most growing up get it out now.

Now ask yourself a question, would that person be proud of where you are now?

Are you still giving it your best in life or are you stuck in a rut that you feel you can’t get out of?

Are you thriving because you have good/great health or have you given up on yourself pretending that eating rubbish every day and not exercising, and scrolling social media pretending to life a happy fulfilled life is somehow “ real and good for you” and solves the pain you are in? Both in body and mind?

Harsh to say but often the people inspired us the most are maybe no longer with us, but what would they say if they magically appeared again and asked you why you aren’t taking the opportunities clearly open to you? They tell yourself to dust yourself and get your behind off that settee and back in the gym, stop eating that food that is DESTROYING you and letting you dig your own grave bit by bit.

Food is very powerful medicine, the pharmaceutical stuff just hides pain for a while.

Exercise is amazing medicine, bringing life to those who long thought their days were numbered, and once your joints get lubricated again, you wonder why you didn’t start earlier as you be doing things you haven’t for years.

Here’s my photo to get it going, isn’t it time to finally stop living life in fear and show the courage to take action needed every day?

Tuesday 30th May

There’s a big conflict between our thoughts and aspirations sometimes.

Most of us want to have a great time, have a treat occasionally and drink and eat whatever we like.

THEN, most of us want to do well in life, whether its in our business, job, career, personal life etc.

If we apply the “I’m going to eat and drink whatever I want most of the time” approach, to doing as well as we can in business, our job and personal life, then it doesn’t really go as our health will likely be rock bottom just when we need it most.

Most of us have one chance to get a business right, and then keep improving endlessly (because it’s going to take a lot of energy and drive), we ned great sustained energy to do well in the ups and downs of our career, and we don’t want to blow too many chances in our personal lives, as the person who is with us doesn’t want to see us eating and drinking too much all the time, whether they tell you or not, it can be ENORMOUSLY stressful for them too.

Nobody wants to keep picking top the pieces for the poor choices we continue to make, when opportunities abound to go the other and the right way.

There comes a point where we must take responsibility and give it our best shot, and STILL have fun but the balance must be right.

In life, we have many chances and opportunities, but can can’t burn out TOO MANY MATCHES with our lifestyle then regretting what “might have been” if we had seen the light.

The excuses eventually run out, as well as the sympathy. Get your health right by your workouts and eating well, which helps get your mind right, and eventually gets the balance right in your life to perform and BE HAPPY in all areas-health is wealth, and you can’t do anything without it.

May 29th

When looking to get up this hill today, I know I couldn’t put rubbish into my body 80% of the time, or I would cough and splutter and admit defeat.

When looking for energy, strength, HEALING your body after exercise, making sure you are fit, healthy and mobile into old age, the food you put in makes ALL the difference.

Nothing wrong with an occasional treat, but most of what you put in HAS to be good and as natural as possible.

I remember a sweet called “Bon bon’s” growing up. Full of sugar, but they tell me “low in fat”. Some even said they were “good for you” with pursed lips, as if that would make it more “believable”.

By the way crunchy nut corn flakes are “low fat” but also full of sugar but it won’t get me up the hill or help me recover even if I can.

It makes me laugh when people go on about foods being “______ free” even though the food could be full of chemicals and other rubbish. None of that rubbish gets you up this hill, helps your body heal and recover or gives you any feeling of wellbeing.

You CAN’T OUT-TRAIN A BAD DIET!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jam sandwiches are even recommended by some “coaches”, let’s see how that plays out long term. I’m not talking about endurance races here, I’m talking about every day life and living well and feeling well.

Excess sugar over time will lead to diabetes, create painful inflammation in your body, lead to substantial weight gain which brings a multitude of health related illnesses and diseases.

Make a decision to eat right today and every day because you will never “trick” your body into accepting foods full of chemicals and sugar are somehow “good for you” or get you to raise your physical performance in any area of life..

23rd May

If you live with pain in your body, then it’s not really “you” anymore. Pain can take over your life, it’s always with you, and it’s hard to think of anything else, and definitely the thought of ‘serving” others is often beyond you.

All the things you “had to offer” the world, seem lost at least for now.

BUT the circle must be broken and a little bit of medicine must enter your body. We all need a DOSE of something to make us better, and when you are in pain you need it little and often.

Movement is MEDICINE, it’s going to be your lubrication when everything seems lost and impossible. Movement gives your body a jolt for the better, and it gives your mind a memory stick of how “you used to be” at your best.

When in doubt, move more. When hope seems gone, move more, do a bit, just a little bit, rest, eat well and go some more. A little bit COUNTS so much.

We give out many doses of medicine at the gym EVERY SINGLE day and I see the unbelievable power of this strongest of medicine without side effects in action daily.

It makes me get up in the morning because I see so many individuals CHANGING and TRANSFORMING right in front of me, it’s a joy to behold.

Whatever faith you are, you need most big faith in yourself right now by doing the things that work, take the leap because it works. You need a DOSE, come and grab it!!
