Monday is a day you either rely on to make you feel better.

Or it’s the day that you think you will catch up and make it a big success.

Or you think you “deserve” a week off because someone told you that, why don’t you “enjoy yourself”, except that enjoying yourself is being a degree student in box sets, a degree student in the Just Eat menu pretending it’s not a big corporate multi billion pound company that pedals the exact fast and ultra processed food that will do its best to make you and your family sick over time and if consumed regularly.

Someone better telll you the truth, someone had better give you the OPTION of trying to live a healthier life that will make you perfom better, feel better and finally make you feel as if you have endless options in life, rather being restrictive in what yiou can due to you letting your health go because your “friends” and just eat “have your back (I hate that comment and would never buy offf ANYONE who says they “have my back” as they are usually but that.

Monday is the day to nail it, fill your house with good food choices, and be around people who are very likely to lift you up, rather than make you feel hopeless due to the lack of exercise you are doing, and the rubbish you may be puttting into your body.

Staying healthy is what you all want to do, you know what you need to do too in general, the question is how much do you leave “other stuff” interfere with you staying healthy?Monday is the most important day to kick start your week and it’s hard to think of many reasons that could get in the way (but they do if you say yes to everything).Simplify your life and have a priority list.

  1. You must exercise today, 20 mins will do as long as you go for it.
  2. You must have enough good whole foods in the house to make meals and snack on.
  3. You need to get to bed early tonight, to re-energise yourself and recover after your workouts.

Do These things and good things happen, you will feel better, less stressed and ultimately be a lot healthier. ALL areas of your life will benefit.Start with these non-negotiables from monday to friday and watch how much else you get done in your life on top too.

Apart from your immediate family, not many people will believe in you in life.

BUT it can make ALL the difference.

What we do at the gym is provide you with the roadmap, the directions in plain English, all you need to do is show up and give it your best effort, saving a huge amount of time because you will be getting it right first time IF you stick with it, and trust the process.

The facts are we have a continually changing programme based on sounds and scientific principles we know that works.

We have endless evidence that tells us that those who undertake it with consistency do enormously well.

We 2000% believe in it and we 2000% believe in you to do well in it.

There’s nothing better for us to see someone arrive at the gym with very little confidence in themselves becoming someone who finally believes in themselves to do great things, it’s magical to see, and often transcends into all areas of their lives, a bit of confidence can work wonders!!

You should have zero doubt in yourself that you can achieve the spectacular, and unless you self-sabotage your own progress because somehow you don’t believe you finally “deserve” success, then your life will only keep changing for the better.

Belief is often tough at times when other not so good things are going on in your life, but you showing up relentlessly and executing on a great programme will give you relentless EVIDENCE on how great you are doing.

“You must have HELL of a critical illness insurance policy”, “after all you will be a ‘cripple” by the time you are 35 (their words not mine”, “what ‘job’ are you going to do after you finish this (thanks for the confidence)”, “this is a FAD you know that DON’T you!!!”, and being a trainer/coach will be fine IF it works out, you know that NOBODY does that for a living don’t you”!!.

These are the constant attacks you will have as a trainer when you first start working for yourself, and indeed often many years after being in business, people will always be secretly glad if you fail in some way, and I’m sure most people in business have experienced these thinly veiled attacks from all sorts of people who usually haven’t the guts to go for it themselves.

You either fall over and cower to the negativity of herd mentality when it comes to doing something that is far away from most people’s expectations of you, or it will give you a ton of motivation to rise above it and prove a heck of a lot of people wrong.

My “critical illness policy” was really good food almost all of the time, the way I stopped my body and joints breaking down after running with several people a day was getting to bed by 9am (often before relentlessly apart from saturday and as I was fanatical about training everyone else safely above anything else, I never took risks with myself either.

The power of consistency is the true secret of success not only in business but in your own health, and will give you unrivalled protection from anything health wise you can control (of course there will be things you can’t control, but I’m talking about giving yourself the best chance of growing old fitter and stronger than you have ever been, having good balance which protects you against falls as you age, being well coordinated and reducing your body’s decline to an absolute minimum, both in your body and your mind which is massive.

Living on ready meals, takeaways and chemically enhanced food and drink and not exercising will only make you sick over time.

Eating whole foods in their natural state, exercising and moving more most days, and getting enough sleep are the most powerful “drugs” I know, guaranteed to make you constantly feel better, raise your performance in life to another level in all areas, and the best FREE health insurance you will ever get.

Struggle is horrible, struggle is upsetting, struggle are times when everything seems as if it will never get better, but the whole process sharpens us and make us stronger.

Obstacles come to us most days, sometimes slowly, sometimes the speed of a runaway train, but they force us into finding another way, so ultimately they make us better.

Setbacks will happen, but we must keep on working at it, never giving up, never waving the white flag because as long as we keep doing our best, then change for the better WILL happen, and we will appreciate even more because we will know we got through the hard times and come through the other side a champion.

Wherever we want to go we must work harder at it, being prepared to go the extra mile, doing the extra things that nobody expects us to do.

The process sometimes leads us through the unknown times, and sometimes we don’t know how good a place we will end up, but we will all live like a champion if we keep doing our best, keep rising above our expectations and be more consistent at it than anyone thought possible.
