9th Dec

There used to be the story of Aladdin and granting 3 wishes and as children we imagined that happening to us. When we grow up though, we realise it’s all a little different.

We ALL want great things to happen for us in all areas of our life, but there has to be a process to achieving  those great things and much work needs to be done on a consistent basis.

COMMITMENT to the process matters above everything else.

When we start exercising, are we really going to be committed to working out at least 3 times a week, which tends to bring strong results every time?

Or are we prepared to eat well at least 80% of the time, what we normally eat needs to be nutritious, gives us energy and helps us repair our body after exercising-how are we REALLY doing on that right now?

Are we drinking enough water? Our performance and wellbeing relies on us staying hydrated, or are we willing our bodies with fizzy drinks etc, which often makes up at least 40% of our long term weight gain for example as well as weakening our bones.

Are we getting to bed early enough in the week to help our bodies recover, and get ready for a good performance the next day? Or are we skipping sleep, staying up late to watch our favourite shows, and paying the price the next day being much more tired and irritable than normal?

Three wishes CAN happen, but ONLY when we apply and commit ourselves to the process of achieving them, and comes through hard work and doing the right things relentlessly, have the occasional treat of course but stay committed to getting better and doing your best, and especially on the days you don’t even feel like it.

URGENT MESSAGE!!!

We have made a fantastic start to the new programme, you have bought into what we do big time and you have embraced the grind to get through it. The physical benefits are already very apparent, but here’s another important side of what it gives to you.

It REFRESHES your mind, just like it refreshes and builds your body.

Science shows us that when we exercise, we flush blood into that area, and right back to the heart.

Science is also showing us that the chemical production in our brain ALSO CHANGES when we exercise. It creates a massive impact on the way we think, compared to the time we walk through the gym door, and totally different when we were maybe in the house, feeling a bit down wondering whether we should bother to exercise at all.

I have numerous messages from you I would never ever reveal of course, but the themes of anxiety, depression and doom and gloom in your general moods are much more common than you think.

AND you ask me “how can I change it, like so many do at the gym”.

I answer, it’s the spark created through the exercise that will change your brain, but we ALL have to keep creating that spark daily to keep feeling good!!

Just like our bodies, we have to flush the bad stuff out, and for our minds we MUST do the same before it threatens to overcome us, when it becomes a major hole to get out of.

We all need to just get our workout done, because we know the end result afterwards will change our thoughts hugely for the better.

I urge you to show up, to be with uplifting people, get great workouts in, and keep seeing life through a much more positive and encouraging lens.

3rd December

We all try to encourage our kids, our grandkids, and we all love to see them active. That encouragement can often work wonders, give people opportunities and great things can happen over time.

What happens when we forget ourselves though?

We won’t let others quit but why do we often quit on ourselves easily?

Do we realise how much influence we have on others, the kids, the grandkids? Have we forgotten how much they look up to us? How much they get inspired by our actions and maybe how much let down they feel if we stop having a go too?

Our activity levels were often great as a child, but when we left school they may well have plummeted. Then we can have purple patches, times when we are very active, we become proud of ourselves again and we feel huge energy in our lives again.

Then there’s the blips, times when wet ave lay offs, we stop trying, we eat and drink lots of junk and empty calories, piling on weight, having no energy and we become too scared to have a go again.

Feeling good every day should be our right, BUT we have to keep working on it, have to stay in the fight ALWAYS, and sometimes do a workout even when we don’t  even feel like it, because often that will be the difference between keeping great habits up that enrich our lives and quitting again when it needn’t have been that way at all.

Stay strong, stay in the game and keep exercising not only to help inspire loved ones, but to help yourself too stay healthy and never go down the slippery slope of ill health.

Dec 2nd

Winning and dominating your day often sounds something “other people do”, but it’s all about your habits whether you elevate yourself or your just tread water every day.

Mondays at the gym for me are all about ELEVATION.

Elevating your state of mind-science and experience teaches us our monday workout changes our thinking, changes our mood directly and definitely sets the tone for the week.

Elevating your performance-NEW programme again today, testing for the body and mind to the limit, can you stretch yourself through all the new exercises, are you going to rise to the occasion again? Of course you are!!

Elevating your power to rest. This sounds like a contradiction but you will sleep better after training, you all will know that by now.

Elevating your eating habits. Do your workouts and you are inspired to eat better and not blow your results from training, maximising every seconds of blood, sweat and tears from your workouts.

Great start, start big tomorrow too!

1st Dec 2024

You want to get healthier, and you know how to do it. You need to show up for workouts, you need to eat healthier, you need to drink more water, you need to sleep better.

BUT if you don’t have a plan, you are planning to fail as the old saying goes.

Have you planned to show up at the gym this week, or do an online workout with us?

If it’s a “maybe” then chances are life will get in the way and you be lucky to make it once this week.

“I should get healthy food in, but see if I get time to get to the shop and get good food”-Isn’t exactly a confidence booster that you will eat healthy and feel all the better for it this week.

You need to make a time slot in your day to exercise, nothing comes before it. It could be 20 minutes even, you can still get a lot done!!!

Creating a time that is non-negotiable for you is the key to you being successful regularly with your health and boosting your life in all areas-energy, wellbeing, mental health, strength, balance, endurance-EVERYTHING!!!

MAKE the time and reap the rewards.
