Compare yourself to where you were last week, last month, last year or even ten years ago, NOT to someone you saw maybe on social media today portraying a life that is not often real, don’t be fooled or envious of someone else’s “all show” lifestyle because you never know what goes on behind the scenes.YOUR story matters, your journey matters, never forget that, ultimately that’s all that matters and the only comparison you should make is with yourself..

If you are training regular, eating healthy and have done for a while, you ARE improving greatly with your health in all areas, now you have stronger foundation, build on them and keep aimng to make small changes that will only benefit your health.If you have learned to associate your workouts with much less stress in your life, you are currently living a great victory, and not relying on tablets only to control your mental state.If your workouts and eating well have lifted you to a much more peaceful place in your life, then protect those habits that have given you so much. I’ve never met anyone who’s really happy eating takeaways and drinking every night-fact.

The race is long but it’s only with yourself, and that race will help you live longer, live a higher quality of life and make you realise that age is only a state of mind

Monday, Sept 27th

Postponing your health to a date next week, next month or whenever is convenient, is one of the biggest most self-destructive strategies you can undertake.Your “next week or month”, will end up a FEW months, OR EVEN A FEW YEARS.If you can’t train because you have a bad knee, you can give extra attention to your upper body and make it a strong point.

If you have a bad shoulder, then you can do rehab on it, and slam your legs with an intensity perhaps you have never done before.Every single situation is an OPPORTUNITY and you have to take them, STOP missing your chances and don’t complain you’re not having them.If you do exclusively classes outside, then you had better be prepared for an ultra-tough time when you work inside and work your body from different and new angles, and vice-versa when you are used to training inside, and then you will get shocked when you do an outside class.

Your body THRIVES when you take on new challenges on a regular basis, and with the variety on offer, the idea of pospoing your health seems ludicrous on many levels.If you aren’t working ON your health, then your health will go down and quickly, with many negative ramifications for your physical AND mental health. Get a grip and get your workouts in no matter what your personal situation is, exercise is your VERY BEST stress reliever that is natural and very uplifting guaranteed to help ANY situation.

Remember the old saying, “if you have your health, you have a thousand dreams, if you DON’T, then you only have ONE-Your health!

Thursday, sept 23rd

It’s a fact of life, that the higher you climb, the better you feel, especially when your health is concerned. Your family and those will be thrilled as you seem to be much better to be around now……but not “everyone” will be happy.

A familiar pattern plays out almost every time. You start showing up to the gym, you get fitter, stronger, and are able to do things you barely thought possible. You are full of pride, the right people will give you applause and encourage you to do even better.

Whilst your cause is very rewarding and noble and I deeply admire you for doing so well and for your relentless effort, you have to realise that some people will sometimes be upset even at your rapid rate of improvement. The better you get, it may wind some people up even worse.

This is exactly the time you need to let go of these so called “friends”. FACE FACTS- anyone who doesn’t want you to be healthy and happy , they need to GO. Anyone who holds you back, constantly snipes at you, giving you “complements” with a sting in the tail, WILL be very destructive in your life if you let them.

So many of you hopefully can relate to this, and you must realise how vital your inner circle is. It is said that the 5 people you hang around with most you become. So if they are mostly negative, constantly criticising you, tearing you down, want you to give up the gym because you are showing THEM up for THEIR lack of efforts, then what chance do you have for long term success?

Transfer those inner circle to positive people who will lift you up, support you, guide you through the tough times, push you through the ups and downs and be there for you no matter what, can you imagine how successful and happy you will be very day?!!

Your success means everything to us, and we are fully aware there are many people out there often closer than you think to you getting very jealous of your transformation at the gym and will do anything to put you off. Ask yourself what their true motives are, leave them behind for good and have some clarity of thought.

You are capable of doing ANYTHING you want, and your support inner circle is absolutely crucial for achieving that.

How to beat negativity

We are officially at WAR with negative energy, we know how destructive it can be and that’s why we ban it from the gym, and in these times, are very protective of it not coming in. Negativity can be the worst type of virus, because what you think/believe, can be very destructive to yourself and others if you let it.

We don’t import negativity, we always insist that resides in other places who haven’t got the same hopes, ambitions and expectations we have. We protect our house, and we will never others wipe their dirty feet in our gym and into our minds.

There are herd mentalities. This means in some circles its fashionable to talk things down, to moan and groan all day, to even hope darker things come true. These are the true ENEMIES of the people, and they should be on an island of their own.We are proud to have a kindred spirit at the gym, all of us dream bit, encourage others, motivate and inspire each other to do even better, and yes sometimes use negativity to drive us on to become better because we always have a point to prove, rise up to become more powerful and put negative thoughts in the bin where they deserve.

We are havng an unbelievably positive week, performances are at all time highs and transformation and recovery stories are hitting us like runaway trains-and I love it!!! The gym only goes from strength to strength BECAUSE of its great people.Negativity is for people who want to join another bus, not ours, never will there be STINKY thinking in our gym, only people who support, inspire and encourage others to rise up and do the great things they are capable of.

Courage-Sept 14th 2021

I am getting a lot of personal messages most days on how individuals are emerging from the real darkness in their lives. I have had these messages in normal times, but they were seriously ramped up in lockdown.The destructive impact of being locked away caused panic, anxiety on a massive level. and a sense that nothing in life was ever going to get better.A lot of people have been scared, down for a long time, and many thought they were down and out.My testimony is this-since those people have been back at the gym as well as training online for long periods, those desperation feelings have subsided and in many cases they are back to normal and thriving again I’m very happy to report. I have spoken to people who were really not only in a rut, but the depths of despair. Those people have been rescued through their courage, rescued by having a daily banter with other members which has been so powerful and medicinal, they have found their purpose again, they have found their voice in the gym again that’s its great to talk, fantastic to laugh, and feel that sense of belonging again.My testimony is that the most dangerous thing is to cut yourself off to people, stay in touch however you can, loneliness is a killer and can infect your mind in the most destructive of ways.I’m in the trenches every day seeing to overwhelming positive impact and benefits of the gym and just as importantly ,the people in it, but I have also seen the other side too, the loneliness side of those who decide to cut themselves off, and to do it so long that they don’t want to see anyone anymore, that’s the most serious and most damaging stage.Thank you for all your courage, heart warming and uplifting stories, thank you to all our members being so welcoming back and raising your expectations in life again, and we want you to know as usual we are all stronger together.
