Why habits matter-30th Jan
This new programme is VERY demanding, but it’s much easier to keep on showing up and having a go at it, rather than have lay offs and having to keep starting again all the time.
If you think of a space rocket, 90% of the energy initially is spent just getting off the ground, once momentum is achieved, resistance gets less and less and progress is much easier,, and the rocket uses nowhere near as much energy just to keep itself on the right path and into space.
Eating well only gives you extra rocket fuel too, because without eating healthy, you will splutter and cough your way through, rather than have an unstoppable path to where you really want to be.
Add on adequate rest and recovery, when SLEEP becomes a massive component (you can’t do without it), and you will have everything in your favour to help you succeed on all fronts in life.
Your lifestyle dictates your performance and overall health, no short cuts, no gimmicks, no fads-keep doing the right thing.

The value of a coach
Roger Federer will go down as one of the greatest tennis players of all time. He won an incredible 85% of his matches which seemingly made him an all time dominant champion..
BUT facts are he only won 55% of his points overall. This would suggest most of his games could have gone either way.
This would also suggest that at crucial times in games, when the game/match points needed decisive moments, he would usually come out on top despite seemingly being out for the count at times.
As we approach the end of January, studies show already that most people have given up on their well meaning New year’s resolutions to get fit and healthy.
Research shows us that one of the biggest reasons why people quit their healthy habits is that after a great start for a couple of weeks, they don’t have a credible plan on how to overcome the inevitable obstacles life will bring them.
Modern versions of gyms tend to be rented buildings with rented equipment and literally nobody helping you or most importantly COACHING you through the times when it obstacles will come your way.
If you have a solid plan for your exercising, you are far more likely to succeed in good times AND tough times that will come along no matter what.
If you have a solid plan to eat well for the long term, relying on real and natural food at least 80% of the time, to fuel your workouts, help you recover well and keep you full of energy, then you are much more likely to stay on track and make continuous improvements.
Roger Federer credits a lot of his success to his coaches who kept improving him even when he was seemingly a master of the game, helping him win matches he may have previously lost.
No rugby, football player at the top level can say they got there without the huge influence of a top coach along the way.
Lebron James in basketball has a team of coaches even as he breaks new records in the game.
In professional sports these days, it is unheard of not to have at least one coach and most likely a team of coaches, constantly looking to push the barriers of their athlete’s performance.
Having a coach in your pursuit of getting healthy and feeling much better will not only accelerate your results and performance, but make them much more sustainable and long lasting.
