Dec 22nd 2023

Suddenly it’s the last day day at the gym before Christmas, and after 7pm tonight, we will be having a rest until Tuesday 2nd January.

We’d like to thank you all for supporting us so well all year long and this is always very much appreciated, and we are always thrilled to see so many of you training so hard at the gym, continuing to change your life for the better, getting your body and mind right and doing so incredibly well.

The support online has grown substantially again this year too which we are very thankful for and makes all those very early mornings very much worth it. There are almost 2000 workouts for you to choose from online available anytime during the Christmas break.

Thanks to Gail for doing such a great job in her classes, and Nikki for keeping the gym looking so good with her very much appreciated artistry and surgical cleanliness.

We hope you have a healthy and happy Christmas and New Year and we are forever grateful for your efforts and continued loyalty, and we wish you continued success and happiness going into 2024.

With great gratitude,

Keri, Nicola and family.

21st December 2023

We all have a certain moment when we realise we have lost some athleticism in life as we age and that can cover a huge range of things.

Then TWO things can happen.

We either “accept” our “best days” are behind us.

OR

THE FIGHTBACK is about to start.

We ALL have had many such moments, and the company we keep can dictate heavily our thoughts.

We can gravitate towards those who have given up to moaning how life used to be, or we can roll up our sleeves, accept we have a lot of work to do, and get down the gym and literally change our present, our futures and ultimately our destiny.

When we start our fightback, it’s important to realise we must RE-LEARN how our body is meant to move.

We must RE-TEACH ourselves how to cook whole foods in their natural state and ditch all the ultra processed foods that are literally making us sick over time.

When anyone comes into gym for the first time, I see them on a fightback mission.

They could be a young sportsperson looking to get faster, stronger and more athletic in their chosen sport, but just as importantly they could be an 80 year old looking to regain balance, mobility, lessen the pain in their bodies and actually feel good about themselves maybe for the first time in years.

Pills ultimately will never give you self-confidence, self-esteem, mobility, strength, endurance, good lung capacity, balance or any kind of athleticism that really means something to you, but hard work, consistency and learning how to train right can literally change your life with zero side effects the pills are often associated with.

You must decide which stage you are in, somehow “accepting” your best days are over, or getting ready to get yourself off the floor one more time for the biggest fightback of your life.

Energy, a good mood, enthusiasm-are all synonymous with Christmas, at least they are in the films!

Energy as flat as a pancake, irritability, and a “can’t be bothered attitude” are quite unwelcome to be around Christmas time, those “qualities” certainly don’t add to the atmosphere!

Here’s a fact, if you want more good energy, be in a good mood most of the time as well as infectious enthusiasm, you NEED to be working out most days, you need fresh air every day and 80% of what you eat needs be as natural as possible (still giving you plenty of room to have what you fancy over Christmas).

If you want poor energy levels, be snappy to everyone around you and be moaning all the way through Christmas, then I urge you to eat rubbish all the way through, have a big drinking session every day and then lay on the settee all day moaning about how your head hurts.

Nothing wrong with a few drinks, but next day get out for some fresh air straight away, drink plenty of water and get some good food in you, and there’s nothing wrong with a nap the next day too, it will actually help you and all of this will revitalise you and stop you being the Christmas Grinch, however “heroic” that lifestyle is portrayed in the pub (by some).

Having fun is important, but flushing out all the rubbish along the way is a great strategy not only for your body, but to keep you in a great mood and help you enjoy yourself far more than those who usually moan all the way through it!!
