Flushing your mind

“Flushing”

Flushing is a very useful technique the top sports people use to reset their minds after a major mistake at a crucial time in the game.

You will see some players often go to pieces after a crucial mistake and can’t recover. With experience though, the best players often learn to “flush” their mistakes out of their minds, after a short reset, they go out and make a great play soon after somehow.

We all have negative experiences often daily, but it’s how we deal with those that either make us shrug them off, or they linger in our minds constantly.

The gym can be a great place for you to flush the rubbish out of your mind, fresh air is always amazing for flushing the toxic stuff out of your brain, and dumping your negative feelings at the gym is one of the most productive habits you can adopt on a daily basis.

The other route is not doing anything and become bogged down with negative feelings until they threaten to overwhelm you completely, eventually going down the medication route which NOBODY really wants to go down.

Keep flushing, keep taking action and keep smashing those negaitve feelings constantly through your regular workouts.

4th Feb-GET serious

Our job is not only to show you a path to great overall health and well-being, it’s most importantly about taking you WITH us and you reaping the huge benefits, but you have to be on the bus with us in commitment terms too.

“Being on the bus” means you share our vision, you are committed to showing up, being on the same path with us and when you do, of course you are entitled to all the benefits too.

Everyone that trains with us that is successful show up regularly, open their minds to new training methods and get stuck in when it really matters.

No time to do that and no time to get healthy?

What else are you putting in front of the time when you could easily make the gym?

Going out for lunch? You have ALL MORNING to train.

Going out for coffee? It’s MUCH MORE effort to get changed to go out for coffee than go to the gym.

Going shopping instead? Monumental effort to go shopping compared to making your gym workouts and the endless benefits, plus you won’t be spending a ton of money.

Want great health BUT not prepared to show up and put the work in?

Take a LONG HARD LOOK at yourself, get serious and re-commit to putting your HEALTH back to the top of the list-ZERO excuses.

Why habits matter-30th Jan

This new programme is VERY demanding, but it’s much easier to keep on showing up and having a go at it, rather than have lay offs and having to keep starting again all the time.

If you think of a space rocket, 90% of the energy initially is spent just getting off the ground, once momentum is achieved, resistance gets less and less and progress is much easier,, and the rocket uses nowhere near as much energy just to keep itself on the right path and into space.

Eating well only gives you extra rocket fuel too, because without eating healthy, you will splutter and cough your way through, rather than have an unstoppable path to where you really want to be.

Add on adequate rest and recovery, when SLEEP becomes a massive component (you can’t do without it), and you will have everything in your favour to help you succeed on all fronts in life.

Your lifestyle dictates your performance and overall health, no short cuts, no gimmicks, no fads-keep doing the right thing.

The value of a coach

Roger Federer will go down as one of the greatest tennis players of all time. He won an incredible 85% of his matches which seemingly made him an all time dominant champion..

BUT facts are he only won 55% of his points overall. This would suggest most of his games could have gone either way.

This would also suggest that at crucial times in games, when the game/match points needed decisive moments, he would usually come out on top despite seemingly being out for the count at times.

As we approach the end of January, studies show already that most people have given up on their well meaning New year’s resolutions to get fit and healthy.

Research shows us that one of the biggest reasons why people quit their healthy habits is that after a great start for a couple of weeks, they don’t have a credible plan on how to overcome the inevitable obstacles life will bring them.

Modern versions of gyms tend to be rented buildings with rented equipment and literally nobody helping you or most importantly COACHING you through the times when it obstacles will come your way.

If you have a solid plan for your exercising, you are far more likely to succeed in good times AND tough times that will come along no matter what.

If you have a solid plan to eat well for the long term, relying on real and natural food at least 80% of the time, to fuel your workouts, help you recover well and keep you full of energy, then you are much more likely to stay on track and make continuous improvements.

Roger Federer credits a lot of his success to his coaches who kept improving him even when he was seemingly a master of the game, helping him win matches he may have previously lost.

No rugby, football player at the top level can say they got there without the huge influence of a top coach along the way.

Lebron James in basketball has a team of coaches even as he breaks new records in the game.

In professional sports these days, it is unheard of not to have at least one coach and most likely a team of coaches, constantly looking to push the barriers of their athlete’s performance.

Having a coach in your pursuit of getting healthy and feeling much better will not only accelerate your results and performance, but make them much more sustainable and long lasting.

Sunday 26th Jan

Sunday is family workout day for us at the gym.

Sometimes it’s harder to go than others, but today was vital, even if it was wet and stormy, it’s all about the process and definitely about the outcome. That hour re-awakens my body from the weekend slumber, not only in my body but my brain too, the new programme is up and we are ready to go to war.We all pretend that there are some people out there with nothing to worry about in life, people who only go out to lunch every day and not a care in the world.

The reality is that there is NOBODY like that, every millionnaire I have trained OFTEN has big worries at times, and to achieve a lot, you often have to RISK a lot, that comes with high anxiety and always high stress.

There are those of you with a ton of worries this week, but ultimately you will get through that pile of worry but getting your mind right through exercising and eating right, and having a good night’s sleep.

Worries and challenges not addressed straight away WILL turn into those 3am moments when you worry non stop about them and can’t sleep.See your workout as medicine, see it as givign you mental clarity and see it as giving you a better future.

The easiest thing is to curl up and hide from life sometimes, but showing up, doing your workouts, eating right means you are all about self-help, self-love and means you will crush stress and worry every day just as it threatens to take over again.

The stronger you are, the better you can help those closest to you too, being healthy and fit is the most UNSELFISH thing you can ever do.
