Deep down reasons why you exercise.

Deep down reasons get you into the gym especially when you don’t want to. The gym can be one honest place where you put the effort in, and you WILL get results and rewards from it, and they will spread across every area of your life.

You should never exercise for “likes”, or for what “someone else thinks about your efforts”, or any perceived idea on what you “should look like”.

Your deep down reasons may be overcoming an existing health condition, it may be to get out of pain in your body or  plenty of pain in your mind which affects a lot of people.

It may be just to get you through the day during difficult times.

It may be the one good thing you can count on in your life at the moment, before things start to get better, but these reasons are PERSONAL TO YOU.

We can serve you well, get you through every new programme, get you out of pain and help you recover from injury, but you have to play your part, give every effort, come in with a great attitude, come into a place which appreciates zero drama as we have so much to get through, and only emphasises hard work and doing things RIGHT!

Get fired up and get ready to battle for your true deepest reasons.

Wed 22nd April 2025

Lots of studies show that a lot of people aren’t so happy in their lives anymore, but the studies also show that joy and happiness are two different things, but joy does contribute heavily to happiness.

Most of us are so busy and we expect joy all the time to happen “just like that”, and we should be happy “all the time”, based on so many others  often made up “perfect lives” on social media?

Think of the things that really cause you joy in life, and that version is often different for all of us.

Are you scheduling it in? Or are you just grinding away with no reward on the horizon, and doing the things that ultimately make us miserable or keep us in a low energy state is virtually guaranteed to keep us feeling sad.

Your joyous moments are personal to you, but usually seeing close friends that make us laugh and uplift us is a great start.

When we go to the gym, we often see people who encourage us, make us laugh and make us feel more confident, even if we have a lot of other things going on in our lives.

Family is very important to most of us, and positive experiences with them are usually a great idea to do as often as possible, but time often gets away from us, so scheduling in these joyous moments becomes even more important.

We know occasional treats with our food and drink can initially lift us up a bit, but do it too often and live on ultra processed food too long and drink too much and its proven to make us sick and create pain in our bodies, as well as often making us feel depressed for large periods of our days,

Eating good healthy food that energises us seems like a no brainer, hitting the gym regularly mixing with positive people is a guaranteed great experience, spending times with loved one creates natural highs in our lives and the more of these things we do the better.

Scheduling in great moments in our lives is a great habit, keeps our moods as high as possible, and are a great antidote for the inevitable stress, challenges and low moments in life that happen to all of us.

Tues 22nd April 2025

What fuels you is a lot different to what drains you, and what you give the most FOCUS to ultimately determines the way you feel and your outcomes in life.

Adopting a “the world is against me” and a negative approach to life goes something like is and will only DRAIN you of energy and hope-

“I never get any luck, it’s always someone else that gets the breaks, life is never easy for me, I couldn’t possibly do that, I can’t today I have something else on, the whole world revolves around ME and I don’t care about anyone else, getting ahead means being selfish after all, I will do it my way and I’m interested in doing things another way, if it doesn’t go perfect this time I quit ”.

Focusing on what FUELS you revolves around your reactions to adversity at times too, as well as everything going for you.

“I must work hard to create “luck in my life”, I can’t complain all the time I need to spend my time out-working people, lots of people have it worse than me so I’m going to use every gift and advantage I have, and I can inspire a lot of people and lift them up along the way too, I know that being consistent with my training and food is the only way to succeed and I know I must have patience to see it through, I am always learning and will keep refining my approach”.

The first example is one of negativity and a pessimistic approach destined to fail, the second one accepts none of us are perfect all the time and we are prepared to “fail” in order to succeed over the long term, being realistic with our expectations, being prepared to work hard and be prepared to learn and work WITH others instead of working against everyone along the way which never works.

Thurs 17th April

At any particular time, you will have a different situation going on.

Any of these sounds familiar?

A bad knee, a bad shoulder, a bad back, a bad foot, a lack of confidence, missed some weeks off training and struggling to get back into it, stress in work, stress at home, feeling stressed full stop-are ALL reasons NOT to drop your standards, because you can work around them.

Your standards are non negotiable, and there’s no need to drop them because some part of your life is not perfect at the moment. A struggling injury in your lower body can be a great reason to excel upper body and rehab your lower body injury properly, and vice versa.

Eating healthy and natural foods is a standard, there are zero reasons to eat poorly, and blow all of your hard work, which in turn tends to push you into a lower state of mind, a lower level of ambition and more of a “what’s the point attitude”.

Nothing has ever worked on poor mental health like working our regularly, eating well and resting better and rejuvenating yourself the RIGHT way.Whatever your situation, keep your standards high, let us help you through your challenges along the way, and keep turning up and every time you will be able to work your way through them every time!!!

The power of “doing the work”

The singer Adele is very well known, not my favourite music, but her achievements have been spectacular and is obviously very popular.

A story at the height of her fame says a lot, when preparing for her Las Vegas residency, she was asked how much she would be practicing, after all, “she knew all the songs very well” and she is already at the top of her game.

Her reply was “100 hours per song”, which averaged a total of 2400 hours of preparation for the entire show “just to get it right”..

The lesson is that even someone at the top of her game, at world class level, still prepares for shows more intensely than probably anyone else in their field.

Her talent is huge, but the consistency of her performances and reviews of her shows are only so good due to the faultless preparation (and her accompanying band of course), she never skips “the hard yards”..

When I first began my business, 500 thousand businesses on average started per year, BUT 500 thousand businesses also folded every year too, the lesson was humbling.

Everyone does their best first year of business, but what happens in year 3 if you are lucky to be still doing it?

If you are in year 10, year 20  or more even in business, chances are you have followed some of Adele’s advice of constantly trying to get better, constantly refining your craft, taking absolutely nothing for granted and ALWAYS trying to get better.

Whilst others in business  for 5 minutes may concentrate on their latest leased new car to somehow “impress people”, the best way to survive in business is to constantly invest in your craft and constantly look to refine it, until your value to others becomes undeniable.

Whatever you want to be good at, putting the work in relentlessly is vital, but it’s also vital you become better through practice, being prepared to learn all the time, accept your never know it all and you are humble enough to learn well off others, who may be doing it much better than you are currently, the best in every field are life-long learners, and perform their craft in service of others, and always without any ego.
