Change never really happens unless YOU are totally willing to change and accept responsibility for your actions.

Getting through endless diets won’t change a thing ultimately because you’re not changing the root cause why you are not eating well. You have to accept the fact that you need to commit to healthy eating and make it a true lifestyle change. You need to discover your deep down reasons why you want to be healthy and in decent physical condition, and the positive impact that has on your life.

You have to accept that a couple of weeks of exercise or a couple of months of exercise even won’t make the long term difference you really want and need. You need to take responsibility for making the time to exercise and scheduling it in your life.

If you don’t take responsibility, you will “tell yourself stories” why things aren’t working for you. I couldn’t make the gym because i “didn’t have time, couldn’t sustain the effort, i was too tired all the time, the programme didn’t work for me (even though you may not have turned up for it anywhere near as often as you should)”.

Taking responsibility means you take full control of your future.

Three times a week training shouldn’t be beyond anyone, even if you have only half hour each time.

Nobody forces you to go down the crisps and chocolate aisle in the supermarket? There’s no magic magnet in there dragging you down there!

Taking full responsibility means that you are taking “chance”, “hope for the best” and “luck” out of the equation. You know what you have to do, you know when you exercise and eat right, great things happen, all you need to do is show consistency, show up regular and finally get the long term results you were capable of all along.

Taking responsibility means telling the truth to yourself, leading by example from now on and making yourself accountable for everything you do. This will create a no fail environment and take you exactly to where you want to go and a whole lot more again.

Chasing down your goals, staying on your OWN path no matter what, no getting sidetracked is a lot harder than it sounds and we know it!

Some will try to put you off, stop you working so hard and drag you from doing the things you need to do.

We always focus on results but you have to realise not everyone will applaud you on your journey as you get more and more successful.

A famous Buddha story stuck with me the first time i heard it many years ago.

An angry, hateful young man travelled many, many miles to visit Buddha not really believing he was this forgiving, decent, unflappable and of generous character, so he decided to put him to the test.

Once he arrived to the town and residence of Buddha, he started unleashing all the swear words you could imagine, wild accusations, and all the hate and bitterness towards Buddha you could imagine, questioning everything he stood for.

Buddha was indeed unflappable and calm and just listened whilst the man continued his rage for a considerable period of time.

The man asked Buddha what he had to say?

Buddha responded by asking the man “if someone doesn’t accept a gift he is offered, then who does the gift belong”?

The man responded “i guess the gift belongs to the person giving it”.

The angry man realised he would be stuck with the hate, bitterness, jealousy he threw at Buddha and sadly realised what he was stuck with then until he changed his ways.

As you improve and continuously reach brand new levels of achievement, stay on your very positive path, realise that hard work and consistency does indeed bring great rewards, and make sure you hang out with positive people who will only build you up, instead of constantly trying to tear you down.

A famous study in Japan showed something amazing about what we expect, rather than what’s the reality.

The test was a piece of poison ivy was rubbed on the arm of the volunteers with blindfolds on. The other arm was rubbed by a harmless plant. The trick was the arm they thought poison ivy was rubbing was in fact that harmless plant, and vice-versa.

The results were staggering. 80% of the test group who thought they were being stroked by poison ivy (when it was the harmless plant) came out in redness, boils and other unpleasantness.

The ones who were REALLY having the poison ivy on their arm mostly suffered no side effects, only 20% did!

This is remarkable but shows what we “expect” can be different to what the reality should be.

With your programme, if you expect not to enjoy exercise, it’s going to be tougher to get through it. If you expect healthy food to be “boring” no matter what, then you are not likely to make much of an effort to experiment with recipes and new ideas.

If you expect not to be able to make time for your exercise sessions, then you won’t full stop! You will never make space in your diary, and you will use that old chestnut “i haven’t got time” despite us all having 168 hours per week.

If you have had previous negative exercise experiences, then you are not likely to be very open to new and more science based training.

Start EXPECTING BETTER things in your life, start right now and expect more every day, your mind will get used to it, and you will move towards good things in your life and develop a new higher level of achievement.

If you expect to exercise almost every day, such as scheduling a walk first thing tomorrow morning, and every saturday morning without fail, then better things happen and you clear your mind early in the day.

Expect to shop better in your daily/weekly shop, only put things in your basket that will benefit your body.

Make your diary include 3 sessions at the gym every week, no matter what, expect to be active more regularly and expect to perform well each time.

If you expect better, then you will achieve better without even thinking about it too much.

Some people will tell you exercise is a waste of time, don’t eat healthy, one life you have! Sitting down for most of your day means you become someone who sits on the sidelines in life, and never actually takes part in every day real life when crucial contributions are required to make all areas of your life tick along.

The easiest way to waste your life is to be unfit and eat rubbish all day.

The things you miss out on are being able to do anything you want.

The ability to walk down the beach and soak that view and vibe up, run on the beach with all that fresh air, walk/run in the park and enjoy all that peaceful greenery, walk up a mountain and enjoy all those amazing views.

That is just part of your day.

With all your commitments in life, maybe family, work, children etc, you’re going to need massive energy levels full stop. Are you going to rely on energy drinks that only put pressure on your heart, or will you develop huge deep energy reserves from exercising more and getting better by the day?

Will you take advantage from all the natural energy and nutrients real food provides, which also helps you with your moods during extreme pressure during your day?

Everyone i have seen exercise and eat well automatically becomes more positive, takes all that stress from work straight out on the gym. Exercise is the best de-stresser you will ever get, helps get your mind right and ready to face anything when you get home.

The biggest waste of time is doing nothing with your day and this leads to a life of gossiping and complaining, which ultimately gives you no fulfilment and no sense of achievement and never getting anything meaningful done.

Make your choice on what you want your life to become.

Wednesday, 28th September

What is your KEY habit that’s letting you down right now that you can and need to change for the better? Just think of one, you know that’s harming your progress, and let’s start today by replacing it with a stronger more positive habit.

As humans, most of us can’t handle massive change at one time, so we need to change one thing at a time and take plenty of time to re-enforce it. Then when we change it, the positive powerful effects spread through the rest of your day and life, and affect all areas in some way.

Key habit example-Showing up.

If you have become the type of exerciser who show up 3 times one week, then once the week after, then 4 times the week after that, then not at all the week after, the this would be a key habit to change and positively affect your life and help you become a LOT more successful.

So just concentrate on this and that’s it. Forget about everything else, just focus everything you have on getting to the gym, schedule in your gym sessions 3 time a week, NOTHING gets in the way. I REPEAT THIS IS IT, and nothing else!

This habit change will transform your life. From the showing up part, you know you will be on our programme immediately. You will get stronger and fitter again, that’s without a doubt. Then from that, you will start to feel more positive again. Then from that you will start WANTING to come to the gym because it makes you feel better and more positive, and not like it and get annoyed if you DON’T make it to the gym.

When you exercise regularly, you will naturally get to the stage of wanting to eat better because you won’t want to blow all that hard work in the gym.

So you can see from this one key habit of SHOWING UP, a lot of positive life-changing things have happened for you and can happen for you, all it took is changing one KEY HABIT, and the rest takes care to itself.

Don’t over-complicate things, don’t weigh up this and that, it all starts with changing one powerful habit and just concentrating on that, the results that follow will be long lasting and create very strong foundations for you in all areas of your life.
