Lots of families at the gym, probably an all time high right now.

Here’s how the family thing works in a big way. 

The parent training is a great example to the child, they watch you in everything you do, and what a great example you are to them.

Then the child training makes a big difference to their development. Learning coronation, agility, strength, endurance, speed and working as a team is transformational.

If your child does sports for example, it will transform their sporting performance over time, it really is a massive head start for them, and makes the difference between enjoying their game and being able to show their skills because they are not tired all the time and not walking around the field.

When you are fitter everything is much more fun.

When the grandmother trains that really is the ultimate leadership example. 

If you are thinking you are too old, too overweight, don’t have enough time, don’t think you can do it, then you telling yourself LIES and the WRONG story.

I have NEVER met anyone who can’t get out of pain, can’t get more mobile, can’t get more positive and more purpose in their life AS LONG as they are willing to commit to 3 times a week exercise, again don’t let anyone talk you out of a great future by saying you can’t or shouldn’t do it.

Always look at the person writing you off, do they have your best interests at heart or are they showing that THEY don’t have the get up and go and courage to get going themselves.

Wednesday, 16th September

There are two different types of people in life, and most of you can relate to both and their impact in your life.

We are blessed to have so many “encouragers” at our gym. 

I really believe if you push people positively to do a little bit better, over time the change can be stratospheric and we are very lucky to have so many great people who support us in this vision. 

When a member is struggling or feeling down, they need positivity, empathy and encouragement and can often make all the difference to make them show up and try harder consistently, which over time is life-changing.

Then in life you will have some people who will be keen to try and “blow out your candle” and delight in it initially. Little do they know that their very own candle and brightness will not shine brighter because of it.

If you give out “gifts” of negativity, jealousy and.bitterness, then those “gifts” only belong to you, if the people you aim to give them to do not accept them, the person giving out negativity actually owns them and are stuck with them and it will lead to a miserable life.

We passed another milestone this week since lockdown of having done 504 classes since lockdown. When we first started back, many said they wouldn’t last, that many classes a day wasn’t possible, or that it would be too wet, too cold, too hot, too hard, or too “anything” not to work.

We looked for reasons why it COULD work, and are always looking to find solutions instead of problems. Life always works better when you live with hope, possibility and opportunity every day.

Both types of people mentioned can absolutely use as rocket fuel for our progress, motivation and determination. Its always vital to have people in your corner who you can prove RIGHT for their belief in you, but it’s always good to have people you can prove wrong too, sometimes we can work even harder when someone doubts we can do great things and scale the heights in life.

Being in business, every day is a winding road and you get to see the big picture on what works and what doesn’t.

You see who is benefiting your business by just being there every day and lifting everyone up through their positivity, those types you need to keep inviting in.

Then you have those who are energy vampires, those who are intent on sucking the life out of everyone, who need to go and find their own kind somewhere else, if they don’t want to change and hop on your bus.

The trick is to embrace and love those who add positivity, who give everything to being better and do everything you can for them, and pick up all of those who are struggling with doubt, self-esteem, self-confidence and build them up so they can indeed do incredible things too, everyone has incredible talent within, I see our job in life as bringing that magic out and seeing them flourish, NOTHING makes me happier than that. 

If do your best for everyone all of the time, you serve them really well and deeply care how well they come on, then real life transformations can occur regularly, and going into your gym or business becomes a truly magical experience each and every day.

September 15th

The people who show up with a great attitude eager to learn are my absolute favourite people to work with.

I saw that in the first class today and I saw it in the last class this evening with Emma Williams‘ bootcamp. People who want to work full stop, they want to learn, they want to develop and be supported all at the same time.

We can only run classes with the attitude running through that particular class at that time.

If you have lousy attitudes you get lousy classes, and that does not and WILL NOT ever be a factor at our gym. We only run great classes because we demand great attitudes, no egos, no dramas and no unnecessary stress, our old saying of “show up and do the work” has never been more true than right now.

When anyone wants to join us, we want to give you a chance, in fact HECK of a chance and opportunity. All we need from you is you getting you head right and fired up for your sessions and I mean EVERY session.

Every session is an EVENT for us, its like Christmas for us and we cherish the great opportunity to get the very best out of you.

Then the stress you came into the session with will promptly disappear and be smashed. Your anxiety will be destroyed and you will have a different perspective about life, and I keep on saying that because it’s absolutely true.

Tuesday has gone but I’m only expecting even better for the rest of the week so keep making the step up in attitude and the performance will improve naturally.

Sunday 13th September

I feel this is timely because we have a fresh atmosphere of fear trying its best to take over people’s lives again. I like you went through lockdown, had our gym inside shut down for 21 weeks, despite it being an environment that was actively and proven to get people healthier and feel better mentally, which was and obviously is according to every scientific study, a vital weapon against this and any virus out there.

I saw many people return after lockdown, many of them came back in good shape as we worked extensively online with them, and many others despite being perfectly healthy and active before, now needed a lot of help, some couldn’t get off the floor on their own again, they came back with walking sticks and some I hear are even on walkers just to move, which the many months of inactivity in lockdown undoubtedly caused due to their inactivity and fear to even leave the house.

Doctors tell us a life of inactivity is bad, but even I was shocked on the enormous scale it happened. 

I knew that mental health issues were a ticking time bomb before lockdown, but throughout lockdown have seen a tsunami of messages and people with deep problems, huge anxiety, deep worry on a daily basis and stress when they come back to the gym. That has blown me away on its own.

I tell of them although fear is around every day now and escalating, there are many tried and tested things you can do to conquer your fears, and it’s proven a lifesaver for so many.

Our socially distanced outside classes are now an enormous success, but when members started back they were anxious, full of anxiety and uncertainty, and full of doubt whether they would work, and instead of recognising all the great things that would happen, they only saw how it wouldn’t work for them. We had to stand up and lead and make it happen.

If there was one powerful example over the last few months how positive and transformational exercise could be, its in these outside exercise classes which have transformed so many bodies and minds already. 

In each of our 35 classes a week, I impress on each member that with each drop of sweat they expend during exercise, it’s going to be the equivalent to one giant leap of progress, not only for their physical health, but their mental health too.

Kids who have been stuck in for 5 months I am seeing huge changes in through our classes. Adults can process this situation far easier than kids, this is why it’s vital to get your children exercising. Connecting with your children is not being in the same room and you’re on the phone and they are on their ipad, you have the ideal opportunity to exercise WITH them now, do something incredible for their physical AND mental health which is much needed and develop an even better deeper connection in these tough and pressurised times. 

Kids need to move full stop and they will only feel less stressed and much better for those efforts, YOU can be the real force of encouragement and change in their lives through the gift of exercise and its endless benefits.

Each improvement, however small, means a further step out of fear and makes us far more resilient, and another jump back to normality, whatever normality means now. Our actions under adversity shape our character and we will all be different characters when this situation calms down back down to normal. 

It’s in the moments of deep doubt when we are challenged that we need to stand up and fight, RUN at the things that scare us and kick fear right where it hurts through your OWN ACTIONS you know deep down will pay off in a big way.

Your family and those closest to you are looking at you and seeing how you react right now. Rise up, lead the way, stand up and come out fighting to the challenge of fear that is here right now, get your behind off the settee and be the inspiration to change all of your lives for the better.

September 6th-Solid foundations

As it happens, it’s going to be dry this week all week anyway. But when you are 80, will you really say to your grandkids, the odd bit of rain and cold dictated what you could do in life?

Many of you work, are on set hours and work hard, but none of you work the full 168 hours of the week, and you do have spare time. If you are following your favourite TV show, or playing your favourite game online, then you have PLENTY OF TIME.

Most of you have your own minds, but some of you let others dictate your attendance. If you’re making excuses like so and so is coming around for a coffee and chat so you CAN’T POSSIBLY TRAIN, then you SERIOUSLY need to change your priorities and take a long hard at yourself-, somebody had better tell you the truth that you’re wasting your time in life.

The point im making is that you need to be ALL in and not half in or you’re not going to get anywhere. Don’t plan on training for 2 weeks trying to be a hero on social media, then not showing up for a month, and then starting again and then pretending you’ve made a true lifestyle change thats going to work, IT WILL NOT WORK AND YOU WON’T GET ANY RESULTS.

This week starting tomorrow you need to be ALL in and tell your family you need support, no more playing around. Showing up is the hardest thing to do, we can supply the rest, so make this week the week that everything changes for you, and you make a solid commitment thats going to lead to lasting changes that have very solid foundations.
