Thursday, 4th April

If you thought of your body as a business, and more of a profit and loss situation, most people would would definitely treat their bodies in a far more respectful way.

This is a very sad thing to say because there’s nothing more important than your health!

Many people would rather spend much more money on being harmful to their bodies, than helping it.

Alcohol, smoking, eating rich food are all good examples that usually cost quite a lot of money, but are usually harmful to the body over time, with smoking being the very worst thing you can do! Yet many people still do it. These are the ones in business terms are bankrupting their bodies.

These are the same people who scoff at those of us who exercise, who eat right, and don’t smoke. The reality is that we are profiting from our daily habits, and enhancing our lives. It’s hard to understand if you don’t live this healthy lifestyle.

It’s still great to enjoy the occasional drink, enjoy a treat in eating terms, but smoking is bad for you in any form, and in any amount, so avoiding this habit will pull you back from serious disease hopefully, and allow your body to work properly in the way it was meant to!

So living the lifestyle in way that keeps you healthy encourages you to be always profitable in health terms, and keeps you profitable in your pocket too.

Smoking, drinking too much and eating rich food, both in the house and in restaurants will hurt you a lot in the pocket too. When you do eat out, try eating plainer and taste your food more, instead of smothering it in rich sauces that will pile the calories and saturated fat into your body.

It’s always profitable to be healthy, in every way possible so let’s
Stick to the plan and it will come in for you every time.

Wednesday, 3rd April

The constant need to improve your programme is vital.

How many times have you been introduced to new exercises, a new way of working out, you have tried fresh new thinking in terms of exercising and it all seems to work very well indeed, and you actually start getting some very strong results.

Then what happens next can be a gradual easing back of your schedule, back to the old exercises and the “old” routine you used to go through.

Then you tend to get the “old results” you used to have.

Not even the lack of results seems to put you off, because it feels “more comfortable” to be in the old programme, its what you know and “that’s the way it is”!

This shows that perhaps the “new way” wasn’t shown to you in an attractive enough way, it wasn’t shown in a new way at all, and no programme making it fun was never set up for you.

Im not saying that doing new things is everything either, in fact anyone who has trained with me will know I mix the new stuff with some tried and tested old school methods, but the main outcome has to be that you improve no matter what.

Improving regularly makes you automatically much more motivated.

How can you not be motivated when your clothes are feeling a lot better, you have a million times more energy, your body is feeling tighter than ever and not many days go past when people seem to be complementing you on your appearance. THIS is where true motivation always come from.

So back to the point, all of those new ways of doing things shouldn’t be forgotten about, simply because its easier to go back doing the same old thing all the time.

Have the courage of your convictions to stick with it, really get inspired by the improvements to your body and actually aim to get better every single week, it can be done and I know dozens of people doing it every single week!

Tuesday, 2nd April

So here we are, Easter has come and gone, lots of you have been on mini-trips, and been enjoying yourself over the holiday, and why not!!

Easter signifies for me how much work you have really put in over the winter? Have you been working hard when it was freezing and wet, as well as when it was dark at 4pm?!!! This is when it really counted and the annual expectation that some have got to look great in one month is often a foolish one.

This is why i write this thing year round, because EVERY single week is important, every monday to friday in terms of training and eating is ultra-important to shape your destiny this year. Ideally, you would have taken some of that stuff in i was writing every day, and applied it to get some decent results. I know that is clearly the case with a lot of you.

If you have ignored what i said in all of those winter months, and indeed the last four years, then no need to worry, i will certainly not be offended and will gladly continue to try and help you.

If today is indeed your first day of trying to get into shape for the summer, than i welcome you onboard!

The first thing you need to look at is your food cupboards, and are they full of sugary and fatty foods, or are they full of good wholesome foods. If they dont come up to scratch, then please plan ahead and make your next supermarket shop your first start, filling that trolley will foods as natural as possible, without all the added sugar, salt and saturated fat, start drinking more water and start moving, and by that i mean exercising, however small in duration terms.

The fact that you started is the most important thing you can do today, and you can still make a difference to yourself by the summer, if you knuckle down right now!!!

Friday, 29th March

Good friday is here again early, and although a lot of people have time off today, i can tell you right now that 90% of people i train are ready to work hard again today, just as if it is another normal day. This shows great dedication and a willingness to improve no matter what the holidays, and its a great sign that everyone is involved in an ever-evolving programme that brings progress no matter what!

This is because of the flexibility of our programmes, most if not everyone i train know that they can get great session in a 45 minute time frame, 30 minutes or even 15 minutes, as long as they tell me in advance their limitations on time, and the need “to get it done” in record time!!

This is what life is about, and the super-fast nature of it all. Why cancel or put off a workout when if you had just spared that 20 minutes, you could have had a great workout that would have further contributed heavily to your overall progress.

ONCE you adopt this attitude, that anything can be done anytime of day, and WON’T take you the time that others seem to take over exercise, then the rate of cancellations you have in you exercise schedule will greatly reduce, and guess what? So will you overall progress jumpy to levels you never thought possible!!!

Its all about taking action, instead of “talking a good game” so let’s get it done this Easter!!

Thursday, 28th March

If you think you can do something, then you are right.

If you think you cannot do something, then ou are also right!

If this does not make sense, then you may not have got the meaning of this statement.

What it means that your mind is the all powerful factor in the decisions you make, especially when you decide to take no or no take on a challenge, however beneficial that challenge may be for every area in your life.

How many times have you not taken something on because it may have been too scary, too uncertain, too hard, too uncomfortable or you were worried about what “other people” would say?

I’m sure all of us have done this despite us knowing the end result would so beneficial to us. That decision not to even try has held most of us back many times.

When we do decide to take a challenge and we actually go through with it, we still live through the uncertainty, we get through the hard times and we definitely feel uncomfortable a lot of the way through it, so you can see a pattern of feelings here that either stop us doing things or make us/allow us to reach our goals.

So it all starts with that first quote again, its up to us whether we take it on because its US after all that decided whether we can do it or not, its US that decided to go through with it or duck the challenge for a “quite life”!

If we think we can do something then, we switch something ON in the brain that allows us to use all our resources to get the job done, and we are very likely to see it through and actually achieve this big thing in our lives.

It sounds simple, but it really comes down to that decision we make right at the beginning of the thought process. Your exercise programme and your health depend on you believing and being positive throughout.

If you think you can, then you probably CAN do it!
