Losing or gaining motivation.
Every single person i have ever trained has struggled with their motivation from time to time. We are human after all, and not robots.
Do me one favour, remember how you looked and felt when you first started, and compare it to now-is there a difference? Please answer honestly!! I think the answer usually will blow your mind.
The best words i have just heard again from a book i am listening to are the best SEVEN words i have ever heard. DON’T GIVE UP. DON’T EVER GIVE UP. It’s easy to give up, but much harder to get up when you are knocked down. The most successful stories have always been those who have been knocked down, then got back up again several times and finally succeeded and achieved their dreams.
When you feel and look good, you are usually positive mentally and aim big. If you don’t exercise, then you won’t have anywhere near as much energy, you wont be as ambitious and you will not so have as high goals.
Sometimes things will happen in your day that will crush your enthusiasm, sometimes your wellbeing will be taken to a whole new level and you will feel out of this world good!!
Here’s what i am in the business of doing-giving you short and particularly long term plans that work. We never give you faddy, short term ways of doing things, that usually end up failure. I have been in this game a long time, and i plan on being it the rest of my life, so i don’t want to short change anyone. We passionately believe we are doing things the right way, and the results back it up.
We want you to be injury free, at healthier levels of body fat, feeling tighter than ever with a great lung capacity. We are currently creating a huge group of new runners who thought they could NEVER run-now that is becoming possible.
Every day all of you inspire by doing the things i thought you couldn’t do this soon. I was so thrilled last night when we have a big group of runners hit one of the biggest ever dunes in terms of steepness and difficultly, and EVERY single on of you did it!!!
What is more, two of you are over 50 years of age, with SERIOUS KNEE ISSUES or used to be, and climbed it with the rest of the group, AND RAN BACK, that i was very inspired by!!!
It’s easy to talk yourself down, to say you’re struggling mentally-WE ALL DO from time to time. I like to talk ourselves up though, the opportunities we have, the opportunities to come in the future too, and all the inspiring messages i get off plenty of people i don’t even know, saying how radically inspired they have become by watching videos of all of you, and all of the transformation pictures!!!
You are either going forwards or backwards, there’s nothing in between. Aim high, believe in yourself, aim for self-improvement daily, there’s no other way!!!
