Monday, 22nd February

The hardest part of being successful at anything is CONSISTENCY. This separates the ones that are continually successful and get to achieve what they set out to do, and those who flounder every time.
New year has long gone, and filling in your weekly goal sheet again may be the best thing you do over the next 24 hours (just been sent out).

Your mind will make you succeed and triumph, or make you quit and fold like a pack of cards, and blame yourself that somehow you weren’t “good enough” for whatever reason.

Decide to make this week another strong one, as it’s totally within your power. Whether you’re running a marathon or you want to recover from a lifetime of ill health, you have to keep making the right decisions that are going to take you closer to your goals.

No time to moan that monday morning is coming, as it’s the most vital workout of the week to set the tone for the rest of the week. Set your standards high, fight through the fog that appears from time to time, and CHOOSE to hit it harder than you’ve ever done before!

Thursday, 18th February

The sprint, take a rest, then get up and go again seems to have worked well for me, and it should for you. I learned a while ago that everyone needs to rest up, and recharge before they go 100 miles an hour again. Nobody can go to their max 7 days a week, although i had a pretty good go at it at one time in my life.

My 100 miles an hour mentality works from monday to friday, foot to the pedal, which allows me to get the very most out of myself and others of course.

Then, i find that saturday i need some downtime, sunday too. This is when i spend time with family, chill out a lot more, work out what’s gone well in the week, and what i could do better the upcoming week. Anyone with a business knows that it’s like having another baby, its with you 24 hours a day and you’re always working on it!

In exercise terms, i never workout on saturdays apart from a longer walk with the dogs in the mornings.

On sunday, i do the big hill up the graig not far from my house, this is always a good barmometer of where my fitness is at.

So monday to friday is where i place all of my physical efforts. I always eat well during those days to fuel my energy levels. I always hit the sack early to recover from the day, and to hit it hard the next day. These are simple strategies that work well for me.

So whats your strategy? Are you a monday to friday person maxing yourself out? Are these your vital days in terms of the performances you need to put in? Everyone needs a strategy of when they train, when they rest and relax, and when they need to get up and go 100 miles again.

Planning your week makes the process easier. If you work 4 days on, 4 days off for example, you need to hammer 3 those 4 days off days in exercise terms, and plan at least one or two workouts on the “on” days.

Don’t leave it to chance, work out your diary in advance and plan how you’re going to get the most out of your body and energy levels!!

Tuesday, 16th February

Going “all in” means total commitment. Going all in means you are likely to achieve what you put your mind to if you give it enough time, and you do something positive each and every day to bring you closer to your goals.

“All in” isn’t something you do “sometimes”, or something you do when you just “feel like it”.

You need to jump in with all your heart if you really want to accomplish your best work. If you take 5 axe swings every day at a tree, no matter how big, tough or stubborn the tree is, then the tree will always fall eventually. If you take 5 positive actions every day, then sure enough you will achieve exactly what you set out to do, and usually a lot more!

You need to get into a mindset that it’s impossible to fail, that as long as you take enough action consistently every day, then nothing is beyond your grasp.
Once you get into this mindset, it will break any feeling of not wanting to do anything or frustration you may have that you’re not accomplishing what you really want.

If you get into a mindset of throwing yourself into your programme, then opportunities will open up for you to do even more, your body and brain will accommodate your efforts and recognise you are constantly aiming to get better and better.

Progress is achieved one step at a time. First one is getting yourself on a programme. Then you learn it. Then you get used to it and then you thrive on it.

Our motto is that you always move forward with your exercise programme, you always need to be tested in a different way, you always need to find new ways of strengthening your weaknesses, and a new challenge every day keeps your mind fresh, and tells your body it needs to constantly adapt.

This way progress becomes a daily part of your life, and it becomes impossible to fail because you’re finally giving it everything you’ve got!!

Tuesday, 9th February

Finding your vocation in life is important to many of you, and numerous members have chased their dreams with relentless pursuit over the last couple of years.

One thing’s for sure though when you set out to get what you want-you need to be fit and healthy to put in the hours needed to achieve what you want.

Here’s a simple fact, most people work 7-8 hours day. The world is full of people who are willing to work that much, to get ahead though (especially in the beginning), you’re going to have to work more, a lot more in many cases to transform your vocation into a career for example (often 6-7 days a week for most).

In terms of your workouts, you have to be prepared to put the work in, not in more workouts hours, but more intensity over a sustained period of time.

Working out smart, working out with real purpose, working out with even bigger performances each week, make ALL the difference. When you come into the gym, give it everything and you need to let loose your talents and fulfil your potential every time!!

So whatever you want to get good at, your job, a career change you’ve always wanted, a business you’ve always dreamt of, a stronger mindset you always needed, a stronger more balanced body, recovering from serious injury, or whatever it may be, you need to put the work IN, say to yourself that you’re in it for the long haul NO MATTER what, you will start to LOVE all the hard work, and you WILL succeed because you’re prepared to work harder than ANYONE else!!!

Getting fired up will become a habit if you have deep down reasons why you want to create real long lasting change, and prove it to yourself that you can be the incredible success you deserve to be!!!

February 8th and the results remain big if you are willing to follow through on the mantra that you will get out of this exactly what you put in!

Team sports are sometimes known to rely on a few talented individuals to carry them sometimes to get the result. The best teams though rely on all of the team, and not one or two of the star players.

When you exercise, although you will get a lot of support from us, you are largely on your own when it comes down to it especially when you have to make a lot of decisions when nobody is looking!!

When it comes to eating well, YOU will be the one who eats well when nobody else is looking or YOU will be the one having the cheeky high fat high sugar snack when nobody is looking.

When it comes to your workouts, YOU will be the one who does everything on the programme, or YOU will be the one who skips off a couple of things just to make things “easier”. This is the difference between okay and great results right here!!

YOU will be the one who has a couple of glasses of wine in the week or a few beers, or YOU will be the one who gets an early night getting ready for the next day-this one makes a huge difference!!

YOU will be the one who chooses to stay positive and fight back at life’s challenges, or YOU will be the one who gives in all the time, says you are stressed and HAD to miss that workout and EAT really badly “just to get over it”!!

Take responsibility daily, and you directly affect your results and destination you are heading in life!!!
