This is a day of uncertainty but life usually is.

Most of us are trying to improve in life, and if you employ some solid strategies, then things usually get a bit better at regular intervals no matter happens all around you. Governments come and go, recessions come and go and the things that are happening today are beyond our control now. Making the most of what we CAN control is vital.

Number one has to be to get fit and healthy. Anyone will need energy in their lives to go out and accomplish anything. Day to day, you can get more done and with much more enthusiasm if you have a ton of energy. Exercising and eating right automatically raises your wellbeing, and everything looks better when you fit and ready to go.

Number two has to be eating right. You are what you eat and it’s only place where you can truly “live”. Without your health, nothing else matters. Choosing wisely from fresh natural foods is always going to change your life quicker than eating processed food, that has often been so stuffed with chemicals and salt that’s its been there for weeks and maybe months in the frozen section. Choose foods that have come from the ground and bring fresh life to your body and energy levels. Nourish your body well and it will look after you so well outlasting any political move.

Number three is staying positive, appreciating what you have and how much potential you have to make the most of the opportunities that come your way. Many successful businesses i know always say that they have MOST opportunities when times are tough, nobody knows that’s going to happen and being bold often pays big dividends. I observed this during the 2008 great recession and my business came out even stronger for it despite great uncertainty during those worst months when we thought the world was going to end.

Number four is accepting that hard work is part of your present and future, and it will always bring you rewards and big success. My father used to say that someone who had a hard work ethic would never be out of work. Hard workers are always highly valued and always sought after. Anyone who’s willing to work hard, never give up and attempt any task with passion and drive, will NEVER be out of work for long.

Accepting that you have a massive contribution to make to your OWN future will change your expectations and push you even harder to get even more out of yourself. This is when great things can happen.

The highest achievers i know at the gym, in business, in senior positions in all sorts of situations, KNOW that there is a difference between interest and commitment. A huge one at that! Having an “interest” means you are in and out and not really into getting the amazing results you’d like to think you deserve. Commitment means you will give everything to attaining massive results.

You can’t just show a passing interest to your health and fitness programme, the sooner you make it a part of your life, the sooner you will give it even more, show up more often, you will definitely do even better than you may be doing right now.

When you’re interested in something, you will only do it when “circumstances” allow. You may have a crack at something when “perfect” conditions allow.

Let’s face it, i don’t know anyone who has all day to exercise, anyone who has no responsibilities, anyone who doesn’t have a million things going at once, and in this faster than ever society, time is of the essence to every single person.

When you are committed to something, you will accept absolutely no excuses, ONLY results. Forget perfect days and circumstances because they never exist.

Commitment is one of the big keys to getting the most out of your programme, you will make excuses TO GET TO your sessions, instead of making excuses to get out of them. You will make excuses to eat well and find healthy food most of the time, instead of finding the slightest excuses to eat and drink badly.

Commitment helps get your mind right too. Once you have it in your mind that you make something a huge priority, then you are likely to take positive action daily to go out and get it. Positive action starts from positive thoughts, and thinking in this way every day tends to affect everything else in our life………..in a positive way too!

Commit or interest ,which one is it?!!

When you attempting just about anything including getting into shape, it’s always good to think ahead what you want. One of the most mind blowing ways of thinking about it is imagine you are 80 years of age.

Base the decisions you make now as if you were 80. Chances are this will take a lot of indecision out of your life, and you actually “go for it” a lot more than maybe you do right now. The “should i? I’m scared to” moments will turn into “let’s get it done, go for it and give it a shot, doesn’t matter if i fail at least i tried, and i’m going to carry on till i make it” kind of moments.

Think of the legacy you will leave when you are 80. That starts right now, not in a few years, a few months, but your legacy actually starts right now.

You must know by now that unless you are physically in good shape, it’s impossible to have the energy levels to create amazing things in your life. I am talking about the energy you will need rising at 5am, and going hard at it all day. This is what’s really needed to get good at something, and then many years mastering it. It’s said it takes 10,000 hours to master something, that’s 10 years in simple language.

Do you think that’s possible? If you don’t then maybe its time you stepped up your efforts, changed your strategy and give everything to this thing we’re doing. Getting fitter and healthier gives you the strong foundation and optimism you’re going to need to chase down what you really want deep down.

You can never out train a bad diet. You can never get as fit as you want by showing up just once or twice a week. You can never get huge energy levels if you are drinking alcohol in the week. You can never get as positive as you’d like to be about your life’s efforts unless you hang out with positive people, and choose positive environments.

Get these things right and everything in your life changes. Your achievements change and the rapid pace of achievement you really want becomes possible.

Your legacy starts right now, think of how you want to be remembered at that age, live a life worth living so your kids, grandkids whatever will be deeply proud of you. You are the trailblazer right now, and lots of people closest to you would love to follow your example.

Anyone can become a leader, all you got to do is decide to, follow through on what you have been putting off for years maybe, and test your resolve and ability to the full, don’t let anyone put you off and go for it and see where it takes you.

We often think that the grass will be greener somewhere else, a better job, or quick fixes taking the easy route, taking powdery “meal replacements”, “lose 2 stone in 2 weeks” type of places.

We believe we’ll be happier and more successful anywhere but where we are.

And so we pursue happiness.

And chase success.

Thinking one day we will magically find them. But rarely will we find find happiness and success by seeking them, and forgetting what we know in going after them.

I’ve learned if you want success you can’t chase it.

Instead you must decide to make a difference where you are, and success will find you, whatever your field and whatever you want to get better at.

I’ve learned if you want to find happiness don’t seek it

Instead decide to work with passion and purpose, and happiness will find you.
Happiness comes from feeling fulfilled.

The key to experiencing real success and true happiness is to grow yourself, become more and then you can show what you are really capable of.

We have many leaders at the gym, who have become more than they ever thought, and they have become a massive positive influence on others, for which i am continuously grateful for.

Too many people want instant success and gratification right now. Too many use short term methods to lose weight for example, and have 5 minutes looking lighter, then pile ALL the weight back on and more which causes long term misery and frustration.

Too many employees complain that their co-workers aren’t working hard enough and this affects their own performance, instead of becoming better themselves.

Too many people worry about what everyone else is doing instead of focusing on what they are doing. Too many people run from challenges instead of developing stronger roots and belief in that they are doing is right.

If you are like me, you’ve been one of these people. Most of us have at one time or another. It’s human nature after all to want to become better, but there’s doing it the right way and the short term fix that will never work.

That’s why I want to encourage you to remember that your job is not to worry about things you can’t control. The scale doesn’t matter, your clothes fitting you better matters, your ever improving performance matters, how you feel matters, how fulfilled you are matters, the compliments you have matter and deep down knowing you are really improving matters.

Your job is to be yourself each day, and be the best you can be and bring out the best in others.

Your job is to grow yourself and grow others.

When you do this and allow yourself to be used for a greater purpose, a greater purpose will move through you and bring greater opportunities, greater success and greater joy and happiness to you.

The greenest pasture is not somewhere else that promises quick fixes in crazy short periods of time. It’s the place where you plant yourself and grow into the leader you were born to be. When you do, you’ll produce amazing results filled with real success and true happiness.

Friday, 10th June

Your magic starts happening when you start to DO, to BE and you do things CONSISTENTLY.

All the talking in the world will never make up for this. If you want to see talkers, just look around you in any pub, cafe, college, workplace, just about anywhere where people are sitting around often for hours just “talking” about things, how things “should be”, and if they had such “luck” or “different circumstances” they would be successful too.

The less time you spend talking and the more time you spend doing, will directly affect your success rate, your possibilities in your life will suddenly go up, your positivity will go up because you are not dragged down by others negativity, and you will suddenly WANT to become someone who DOES because you will that you CAN become successful with consistent action.

Getting the magic going in the first place can be the hardest part. Getting someone to move in right direction is hard, but getting someone to take the first step can be monumental.

Once you do it though, it will become like a runaway snowball, one good thing will build on the next good thing, then the next positive thing, and all of these will build on each other to become something of value, something big that has momentum behind it, and will become soon a habit of yours that you won’t want to stop.

The snowball will become an avalanche.

We talked about best practices the other day, the habits you need to practice every day to become better. That hour you need at the start of the day to get your mind right, to get active straight away and plan your day with positivity.

Planning your meals, hanging around with positive people and influences, and scheduling in all of these things including a great workout in the evening if you missed it first thing.

Good days can happen through intention, if you get used to planning more, scheduling good habits into your life and the company you keep on a daily basis becomes very positive, with many people encouraging you when you tell others of your new positive plans.

To become more, you have to do more on a daily basis, and don’t stop until you reach where you want to go.
