Wednesday, 27th July

All of us change, slowly in most cases, into the person we end up being. Our business changes, people around us change and what we expect changes.

Are you fitter than one year, have you really learnt more, are you more positive than one year ago, do you help more people now because of your experiences, and have you more optimism for the future?

Are you on a hopeful, optimistic path and open to change and possibility?

Have you finally starting believing that you need a sensible, regular exercise programme, and a long term healthy eating programme, and have you finally kicked quick fixes into touch finally realising that they are a waste of time, money and they destroy you emotionally too?

We as a gym always want to AVOID being a business that plays the short game, the one who takes short cuts, the one that sells you pills and powders that mess up your body and mind, we will always be the one that never makes false promises about losing huge amounts of weight recklessly and in short periods of time. Most of you now have hopefully figured those type of weight-loss scam artists out by now.

As a gym, we always think long term, what’s the very best thing you can do, whilst still thinking what’s best for your back, knees etc. What is really the best strategy for you to achieve whatever you want deep down, this is always what’s vital to us.

When you look back at your life, you will realise we all have choices to leave a great legacy, what we became, how much we cared about people, and what difference we made to others.

In an age of getting your “15 minutes of fame” is really important to some, it’s vital to realise that you must play the long game to make sure you have a positive impact on everyone around you, to be in the best health possible.

We are always “becoming”, and we must always realise that everyday we have the opportunity to become something else, someone that gives value to others and most importantly give ourselves that deep down satisfying feeling we are doing our best and really creating change for the better.

None of us will get fit at exactly the same rate, some will go slower, some faster depending on how much work they put into it, but EVERYONE is capable of getting fitter and healthier than they have ever done before.

If you show up and exercise a minimum of three times a week, then good things will happen for you, because you are exposing your body to the right amount of stimulus to improve.

If you aim long term to eat well 80% of the time, still enjoying occasional treats which is realistic, then your body will look after you and high energy levels will return to your life.

The main reason i find that individuals improve quicker than others is consistency of doing the right things. I find that it often doesn’t matter how physically gifted some people are, it’s the person that’s willing to work the hardest over a long period of time will always be the highest achiever.

The biggest enhancer of progress that can happen for you is realising that mindset is the secret link, your “x factor”, your most powerful weapon in all of this coming together.

Staying on course is often dictated by how focused you are and your willingness to do the simple things right time after time. After your initial “honeymoon” period of starting training, you will soon realise that staying on your programme brings some challenges, and the sooner you bring an achievable structure to your lifestyle the better.

Just like booking an appointment with the doctor or dentist, make time for your workouts three times a week. Find a time that nothing can get in the way of. Once you get used to training, you will be more productive in all areas of your life, for the time you invest in every training session will be rewarded many times over.

When you do your food shopping, make sure most of it is healthy, as everything you bring into your house will get eaten, bring multipack crisps or chocolate bars in and they WILL get eaten. Nothing wrong with treats here and there but the foundation of what you eat needs to be good. You can’t out-train a bad diet.

For your mind, reading positive books or media everyday helps a lot. The biggest thing of all is to surround yourself with positive people and influences. Avoid those who drag you down and put you off trying to better yourself. Trust opinions of those who are experienced and have a track record in what you are interested in-A much quicker way of seeking advice.

Stay consistent, stay positive and try your best to stay on the path you set yourself when you first dreamt up what you really want out of your health and fitness programme.

Monday, 25th July

Here’s what i saw today. I see a programme that’s going to cause a major shock for your body, a major change for your body and mind, to take you to the next level and maybe the level beyond that.

We measure our programmes on how much change it can create for a pro athlete. If it passes that test, we are going to push it through everyone because the results are always staggering.

Please don’t come in expecting to go through the motions, because you should know by now it’s not going to happen.

25th july and liam bennett and i just went big time on our new workout getting him ready for his big fight on september 24th. I knew the exercises i gave him had to be ones we’d mostly never done before, he needed that jolt and he’s so motivated to get to an extra level i knew i couldn’t let him down.

The hours he puts into training can never be wasted, he demands big things out of himself and its up to us to help him get there and deliver for him.

Whatever your ability is, you should be a lot better now than we first started-it’s compulsory for you now to have higher demands out of yourself, and create excellence for yourself in our training environment.

Creating excellence transfers into every area too. You should be eating really well too, you will never out train a bad diet. You should be recovering well by getting early nights in the week.

You should be working on staying positive, hanging out with positive influences and avoiding those who tear you down.

The new programme is ready for wednesday after a couple of tweaks. One massive thing we work on is mindset, to be a champion and achieve great things you have to think like a champion. You have to demand more out of yourself than you could ever expect out of anyone else.

You have to become a leader, be your own person and create your own results. Your opportunities are here right now and this week will be a massive contributor to your success!!! Let’s do it!

Thursday, 21st July

There are points in your exercise programme when you wonder if you will be able to do the most difficult exercise, the most difficult workout, to be able to eat well at least 80% of the time, to avoid falling in the traps you USED to fall in. What really makes this time different?

This is exactly the time you encounter your most difficult opponent, and that is yourself.

The toughest of times brings this question comes up-Will you discover your deepest weakness or will you seek out your innermost strength when you need it most?

You have to realise that everyone encounters difficulty, the feeling sometimes as if you are running against a brick wall-EVERYONE has from time to time. What should make you different though is the ability to KEEP on trying and get through that wall eventually.

This is the exact time that if you keep on going, then you will be strides ahead of where you would have been had you quit. These are the defining moments of success and progress.

You will find that it’s not difficult just running as one of the crowd, just keeping up, just doing enough to get by. It’s not about hitting the wall or not, it’s about what you do AFTER you hit that wall that makes your development so special.

The ability to do the extra after initially wanting to quit makes you different and separates you from most people. Don’t wish it was easier all the time, just work on getting a little better each time and that extra effort will mount up.

Hitting the wall is a familiar saying now, but the ability to scale that wall will distance you from your old self, and will make you more powerful, positive, develop whole new levels of self-belief, self-confidence, and take you onto a completely new level of development and success.

Wednesday, 20th July

Once you leave the thinking behind “maybe next tomorrow, next week, next month or even worse SOMEDAY”, then everything will change for you.

Best advice i ever had was DO IT TODAY, DO IT NOW, DON’T PUT IT OFF ANY LONGER.

Doing things now is extremely powerful. Getting in the habit of making the phone calls you promised to make, making the plans you always promised yourself, showing up and exercising, buying heathy food every day instead of promising to “change next week” is life-changing.

If you decide to change right now, your inner satisfaction levels, self-pride, self-motivation levels go through the roof. Every day will become an advancement for you. Tomorrow will be better, the day after even better, and the week after you will have a better and stronger foundation.

You will also become used to improvements and hungry for even more. Once you have momentum, you won’t be satisfied with one small improvements, you will seek out more, seek out to fulfil your true potential and become everything you were meant to be and more.

START today with the intention to carry out the things you need to do TODAY-NO MORE PUTTING IT OFF, deep down in your heart you know this is right so go out and do it!!!
