This exact time of year becomes ultra-important to you. If you leave behind the extraordinary changes you will make to your body, then concentrate on perhaps an even more important focus.

Your mind plays funny tricks with you this time of year. The lack of daylight makes the journey to the gym much tougher, even the most enthusiastic member is tested right now for their commitment.

I really believe that these “tests” are sent to us as a challenge on how much we really want it. If getting into shape was easy, wouldn’t everyone be in great shape?

You came to us to be different, to forge your own path, to be a non-conformist who wanted only the best outcome for your body and mind. This was never going to be easy, and your actions in getting out of your house or workplace on a freezing cold wet night or morning dictate how your life is going to go.

We aren’t bears, we weren’t meant to hibernate, we are meant to keep on going and get our blood flowing 12 months a year. But life sends us these tests to demonstrate how much we really want create incredible change within ourselves.

We sincerely appreciate so many of you who travel very long distances to get to us, so just get that bit right and we will do the other bit once you get to us and give you absolutely everything.

Although this tough stage seems to last forever this time of year, i estimate it to be only 10 days of doubt, indecision, vulnerability and confusion on whether you have the toughness to see this through.

I’m telling you absolutely, definitely 100% you have the strength of mind, strength of physical effort and capacity to make massive strides in the next couple of weeks, which CAN DEFINE your winter, make you realise you are stronger than you thought, and begin a new chapter in your life that sees you take on new leadership skills for everyone around in your life, because you show you never quit no matter what, and you certainly won’t any British weather destroy your drive and spirit.

10 DAYS, let’s prove what you have deep inside!!!

Thursday November 17th

Do your best, be 1% better every dayDecisive moments seem to happen a lot at this time of year.

You were either at the gym tonight with your red hoodie on getting an incredible sweat on taking the world on, or you were losing some more fitness, self-confidence on the settee tonight, wondering or doubting whether you still have it in you to succeed.

Are the people who doubt you in life going to win? Are they going to be right this time that you won’t last? Remember what you said when you first started, that this time was going to be different, this time would matter more, this time you would prove everyone wrong, this time…………………….

We had a huge 10 mins right at the end because of 3 people, one had their head up, Lynne Ashford-Thomas who told me if you can get out of the house on a cold freezing wet november night, then you can exercise anytime and you’re capable of anything, after all this lady has seen these bleak conditions once or twice before to say the least!

I saw a post op Martyn Thomas, recovering from that knee op but a massive illness over the last couple of weeks, his head was down, he was building back up to greatness, but on this night it seemed a long way off.

Lee Stone walked in “i’m not feeling it” he said.

I knew something special and magical was needed. We got in a huddle, had a team talk and started to throw some serious iron around.

We went big, and even bigger than before, we sought out the nastiest most vicious exercises possible, we wanted big moments and big aggressive efforts.

I swear to God that my mindset changed completely over 7 minutes, it changed to possibility, faith in all was well in the universe and our super powers had returned, this meant the world to ALL three of us, Lynne was supported us all the way!

Exercise and eating right literally changes lives, more powerful than anything you know and could imagine.

So back to you on the settee, hows your levels of doubt and belief now? Are you going to be the master of your own fate and set a new legacy for you and your family to be proud of? OR……………………..is there anything else!!

Wednesday, 16th November

Many of you are becoming thoroughbreds. I have never been on a horse but here’s my best guess of what being one is.

You first start getting used to exercise, and initially you get some aches and pains, but eventually you start to enjoy it and get used to it.

You starting upping your game, your performances go up and your expectations go up with it.

You develop pride in your performance, a certain standard is reached, and the possibility of reaching the highest level becomes possible.

You know that you’re not going to get to the top by feeding yourself rubbish and junk, you wouldn’t give junk to a thoroughbred horse and expect them to do well, so treating yourself with respect is now paramount.

You space your meals out, make sure your portion sizes are right, this makes sure you get a steady supply of first-class energy all day long, you perform amazingly well in your workouts and you recover super quickly.

Being a thoroughbred brings you more confidence too, when you perform well, your self-esteem and ability to make strong decisions goes up too. You feel different now that your body performs effortlessly in everyday situations that others find difficult.

You have the need to exercise most days, it feels better, everything flows better in life and your ambitions rise quickly.

Anything is possible when you are thoroughbred, and your exercise plan sets you up for greatness.

Success according to legendary American Basketball coach John Wooden, is achieved when you achieve the piece of mind that you have done your best no matter what.

Society encourages has just to “do enough” because that’s what lets us just get by. Don’t forget if you keep doing your best, you are very likely to achieve something special. Some people get upset by this as you will be showing them up because they aren’t willing to put the same huge effort in as you are.

Doing your best is doing a series of little things daily.

For example, you could make for a workout but only have 40 minutes so you tell yourself “it’s not worth it”.

You cheat on your food because “nobody else will know, i’ll get back on it tomorrow”.

You don’t make time because so many other want your time. Even though exercising and making time makes you more productive for yourself and others long term, its easier to give in to others.

Doing your best is getting workouts in even if they are only 20 minutes.

Doing your best is sticking with your healthy food habits even when nobody else is looking, even when its easier to cheat, even when it’s easier to leave it until after christmas.

To do your best, you have to sacrifice tiny things over regularly a longer period, and the fruits of your labour will be incredible. Reaching your potential makes you live a fulfilling life, do your best today and then do the same tomorrow, it can develop into the best habit you ever had.

Don’t forget your mind can easily put you off as its easier to quit and tell yourself you want to give your body ‘a rest and live on easy street for a while”.

Ask yourself daily “did i do my best today?”, “Did i do the best of what i was truly capable of”.

Get peace of mind and keep giving it everything every day.

Saturday, 12th November

If you are planning a new project, a new career, develop yourself in your career, launch a business, become a better business, get fitter, develop a new interest and just grow more as a person, then getting up 5am or even earlier will give you at least 2 hours a day to make a much bigger impact.

Sounds enough to make you sick for most people, but you have to decide how much you want to contribute in life, are you the one who waits for everything to land in your lap or are you going to grab it with both hands yourself and seize your opportunities?

Getting up early is a tiny sacrifice to what is achievable with the technology available right in front you every day. There is more opportunity, information and encouragement in front of you than ever before.

I remember the encyclopedia britannica as a source of knowledge and that was pretty much it, about 20 books on everything that you would painstakingly have to go through when you wanted to know something. The internet changed everything on this, and made your computer something from another planet!

Whatever stage you are at, whether its the start of a career, start of getting fit, whether you’re at the top of your game, there’s always more and you have to develop that hunger to become better, to give more value to others and this is when you receive more value yourself, when you BECOME more.

Be that non-conformist, believe that anything is possible and be the deliverer of radical change starting right now. If you can’t sleep properly, turn it into massive possibility and a vehicle of great change for your life and those around you for the better.

There’s never been more opportunity or possibility for change in your life than right now, so seize the chance by making two more hours minimum available to you each and every day.
