If you are finding this week difficult and hard to get into, then you are NOT alone.

That break between Christmas and New year is tough, you go from eating well, to eating not quite so well, then you throw yourself back into exercise and realise your body doesn’t react so well.

This is NORMAL and also shows how much we all rely on eating good for to fuel and recover from our workouts and to simply feel god.

The big WIN though for you this week is turning up in the first place, even if you are operating on 50% of your normal efforts, this will have a big effect on you getting back into some kind of groove.

Everyone has to go through the process of putting a few of these workouts in, so we can approach any normality on the way we feel.

The first week or two are all about starting to feel better, starting to get your mind in the right place again and getting some good sleep again, because without that you will always struggle and your training sessions are the best way to make sure your body treats you to some good quality sleep.

Don’t stress about the struggle of this week, everyone is going through it.

Monday 5th January 2026

You may know by now that your situation in life good or bad doesn’t change suddenly by magic. It’s down to the way you think and what you do however hard that is to admit to yourself.

The problem is that we can be in a situation so long we don’t know another way, or if the people we associate with are in the same situation, there seems little to no hope of changing it.

The number one way to change the way we think is the way we change our physiology, when we exercise at least 3 times out of 7, our emotional health changes for the better, our hope for the future changes for the better and the way we think starts to change for the better.

That is all good but we must remain consistent with this, showing up sometimes when we don’t really want to, pushing ourselves to do a workout that will naturally be difficult after a christmas break, and breaking free from the way your immediate circle often thinks.

Misery loves company so do your best to not get sunk by those who will drag you down mentally, the ones that will extinguish all hope from your life, and the ones who try to keep you thinking like they do.

Change is very possible, but you have to be the driver and you have to put yourself into the right environment to make it happen!!
