Wed 11th Feb

I’ve been riding the bike down the gym for several months now, it’s sometimes been icy, often been wet, very windy and we have a seemingly record amount of storms. A few nice days thrown in!

Sometimes I have taken the car if I’ve had to pick things up I couldn’t carry on the bike, or leave the gym early to go to football, but that’s been about it.

One of the biggest takeaways I’ve taken from all of it is that I feel MUCH better when I’m on the bike, the exercise and fresh air changes my mental state and my wellbeing as a whole.

I am more energised when I cycle and I usually get way more things done, and it’s become MUCH easier cycling up the hill too.

When I take the car I feel sluggish, takes me longer to get going and to be honest I don’t feel right when I drive, or anywhere near as good as when I bike it.

Your own takeaways from your visits to the gym or do an online workout ought to give you an uplift in the way you feel, the way you move and the way you see life.

Takeaways from sitting on the settee all day are usually low energy, often low moods and feeling lethargic. The more you do it the stiffer you will get, and the less you do the less you WANT to do.

Use your workouts as the ultimate lift for your mood and the best way of feeling good over a sustainable period with zero side effects as well as keeping pain OUT of your body.

Tues 10th Feb

Starting……………..and not finishing is something we have all been guilty of over the years.

We have a great idea, then when it gets tough, we don’t always see it through.

BUT it’s the seeing it through no matter what that’s gives us our greatest lesson. We learn not to quit, we learn not to be scared of obstacles and we learn to start believing in ourselves.

Plenty of people will put us off, plenty will question why we try and do great things and plenty of people will offer a different and often much easier route to us.

We know by now though that showing up to our workouts continuously matters, it matters hugely we eat good food, it matters we have some discipline in our lives still-it’s old fashioned yes but its at the heart of what is needed to achieve great things and you wont get anywhere without it.

It’s only tuesday but you have started to have a good week by moving more and eating well, you have to finish this week off by not quitting, not putting workouts off, not succumbing to rubbish food and make sure you hit the sack early to energise yourself to get through even greater workouts as the week progresses.

Start……….AND FINISH every time, the only way to be proud of your efforts and accomplishments along the way!!
