May 7th

Having three day off the gym feels good, but it makes today (tuesday) an important start back, as we notice we have got stiffer since friday evening, and everything aches a bit more, and lethargy threatens to settle in, especially as the weather seems a lot warmer and sunnier.

The good news that we can still win our day, but we need to follow through our intentions and actually do it.

You can’t imagine right before your workout how good you feel when you finish your workout, it WILL give you an enormous lift not only in your body but mentally too.

If we look at what we have to do by friday right now, it can be enormously daunting and of course it’s very tempting to put things off and say “tomorrow”.

The problem is tomorrow will never come if we start making excuses why the things that are important to us never get done, things slide, and we accept a much lower standard in life.

For the record its only 15 degrees today but very sunny, it WILL get warmer so this is exactly the reason why we need to nail it today and all week long, approaching EVERY day as if we are on a mission and even if we are not performing personal bests each and every day (nobody does anyway), the very fact we get stuff done daily proves to ourselves that we are strong enough to get through any challenge, and we are the ones who never take the easy way out, and we will NEVER give up or quit on the goals we initially set ourselves when we first joined the gym.

Beach workouts

Thank you to those who did so well in our first early morning beach session, it was much apprexiqted.

The beach sessions are something a lot different, with different challenges, a different terrain and a great atmosphere with plenty of encouragement from others.

It’s guaranteed to get your mind in the right place, banish negativity, and crush doubt, so you approach your day with renewed vigour, determination and passion for what’s really important for you in life

.There is a space in life for doing tough things, for building your resilience and grit, and seeing your day with clarity and creating fresh energy for the challenges ahead.

Plus you will feel absolutely amazing afterwards and give yourself renewed confidence and raise your self-esteem due to the pride you will have after getting through such a tough and challenging workout.Every Monday and friday 6am, meet at the Yacht club, not next monday though due to the Bank Holiday.

Friday, 3rd May

Our determination to keep OUT energy vampires, “mind hoovers”, people who suck the life out of you, remains very strong, and all of you will know at least one or two people around you in your day, you may work with them, they may be part of your family or they be may part of your part of your past (hopefully).

These people will go all out with their demeanour, negativity and often jealousy of you and your success to put crushing doubt into your mind, tell you that you aren’t any good, laugh at anything you do right, and rubbish your future prospects and they sincerely HOPE you keep failing and they would really love it if you don’t even TRY to do good things that make you better!!!

I long since excommunicated these people out of my life and it’s now alien to hear them, but when I do  like to encourage you to get these people out of YOUR LIFE too because it will make your life so much happier, much more rewarding and put you on a higher level emotionally in all areas.

These people are draining out of you every good intention you have,

I urge you to keep going for it, keep taking a chance, keep showing ambition, keep not caring a damn what anyone else thinks, and to keep being the incredible INDIVIDUAL you know you are and can always be!!!
